Absolutely British and great. Upscale shopping class and prices, very neat ambience. Groceries, delicacies, decorative items (original British tea service with accessories, you have to see), fresh baked goods etc. A visit is absolutely worthwhile.

Yesssss! Have expensive afternoon tea here and be delighted. Its a bit pricey at around 44 pounds per person but you won't be let down. Remember to book a table...we did ours online and the 4th floor tea room is gorgeous. All the food is unlimited and they will give you small bottles of their jams to take home. One of my favorite places in London!!!

Lovely shop with lots of choice. But remember this is not bargain basement stuff this is top quality. Therefore this is reflected in the prices. Good cafes and restaurants with a good choice on the menu . Well worth a visit if you are in London.

Ground floor is a tourist scrum, but the upper floors are a refined selection of interesting fashion and Homeware, the basement food hall is magic and the tea rooms on the upper floors are a refined delight. An occasion. Whether taking friends or hiding out for an hour's indulgent solitude, this is an institution - in the best sense.

The historic grocer that doesn't attempt to do everything. But what it does, it does exceptionally well.

Personally I recommend the macarons & white tea.

We had tea and Welsh rarebit in The Gallery to be nostalgic of my childhood. I was just as lovely as I remembered and the service was lovely. Purchasing our tasty treats to take home was equally enjoyable, although more savoury biscuits would be appreciated.

Because there are so many types of tea, are you worried about what to buy? I recommend countess grey, queen anne, royal blend. It is recommended for tea, as well as various other dessert afternoon tea.

That middle aged gentleman in hamper section downstairs named Asmath, very resourceful. Helped me picking up all different type of products across the shopfloor ,also patiently explained me the ingredients & allergens. Most importantly beautifully packed my gift hamper with his excellent craftmanship & soulful service.

I love Fortnum tea. I've been totally spoiled by it and rarely drink any other type. The flagship store has all their black and green teas, herbal teas, biscuits, and more. The honey and preserves section is outstanding. You can also get tea sets, hampers, wine, chocolates, and more! Definitely worth a trip as it's an experience. If you want high tea, would strongly recommend a reservation

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a trip to F&M. Alright it was incredibly busy and a little pricey as you might expect, but the range and presentation is brilliant. The food also tastes delicious. Definitely worth visiting at least once a year.

Royal grocery walk-in distance from Piccadilly. Grandiose long standing landmark over 300 years with remarkable decor from past century. It feels sentimental, you ve travel back in time.
Windows are stunning and very inviting. Gorgeous displays of quality and unique products. They supply tea to Royal houses over 300 years. Selection of over three thousand teas from far lands very impressive. Many appealing products packaged in luxury boxes as expected in such posh store. Cookies and lemon curd are scrumptious and incredibly tasty. Top notch service. It s fun to wonder around and look at so many different items from food and wine to almost everything your heart desires. Fun to shop at Royal grocery, wonderful crown jewel of amazing retail.
It feels good to get something what makes you happy and experience luxury shopping at its best while in London. Fortnum & Mason presents all that is great about Great Britain.

I was lucky my daughter bought me an afternoon tea for two as a birthday treat. The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon is a lovely setting for afternoon tea. The room is bright and airy and there is a lovely ambience. You have a choice of afternoon tea, savoury afternoon tea, high tea and vegetarian afternoon tea. We both had the afternoon tea which came with a variety of sandwiches, all very tasty, plain and fruit scones (although unfortunately our fruit scones were sadly lacking raisins) and a selection of mini patisserie. The scones were accompanied by clotted cream, strawberry preserve and lemon curd. We thought the scones were delicious, very fluffy on the inside. Both the strawberry preserve and the lemon curd were very nice but we thought the scones seemed to go better with the preserve. You also get a choice of a slice of cake from the trolley. The banana loaf was delicious, not too sweet. My slice of chocolate cake I took home as I was stuffed by then. You also have a good choice of tea to choose from. The peach black tea was light and refreshing. The fortmason was more robust. Service was very friendly and polite. All in all a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I loved this shop. It s so large, I think I spent over 1.5 hours shopping and perusing the store. There s so much to see and buy. There s tea, cookies, biscuits, jams, chocolates, wine, fresh pastries, etc. And did I mention there s a tea shop within the building? If I wasn t on a time constraint I could have spent more time. My friends and family loved all the goodies I brought back. Their shortbread cookies and English breakfast tea were amongst the most popular.

Arrogantly trades on name as if that should be enough for a good reputation. The customer service is utterly zero. They are only interested in getting your money and couldn't give 2 hoots whether their customers are happy..........next..............

My friend and I stopped in here on a sightseeing trip of London, and it was the best place to buy authentic gifts for friends back home in the U.S.! The tea is some of the best around, the department store has a few hundred years of history, the store associates are extremely helpful, and the restaurant/dining experiences are also great. We had savoury snacks and tea service at The Parlour on the 2nd floor, and they even remembered it was my friend's birthday and brought her a candle in her dessert!

We arrived for our afternoon tea sitting 10 minutes before our slot and were aloofly told to go away and return at the allocated time. We thought perhaps they were busy and our table was consequently not yet available and therefore, disappeared and returned 10 minutes later. Whilst being walked to our table, we were stunned to see that the sitting was virtually empty so why were we rudely told to return spot on time.

One tier was then brought over for us both with minimal food on it; there wasn't even one of everything each; nonetheless, we thought that we had read somewhere whilst booking that we could order additional cakes / sandwiches during our sitting. The waitress looked appalled when we asked for more food and grudgingly said which single piece of additional cake would you like each.

Thank you to the lady on the chocolate department you made myself and granddaughter cry tears of joy. We came to London for my granddaughters 7th birthday. Lilys face at your beautiful Christmas decorations was to be seen her smile was infectious. Lily loves macaroons I said she could have some. I watched in awe the lady got down to Lilys level made eye contact with her and was patient while Lily decided what she wanted. On departing your store Lily gave me a huge hug and said how lovely the lady was and said she even said Happy Birthday to me. THANK YOU FOR HELPING MAKE MAGICAL MEMORIES

Awesome! Went for tea on the top floor and had an amazing time. Food was delicious and atmosphere was spot on. The duck foie gras (part of the savory afternoon tea menu) was out of this world.
