As the Italian capital zoo, it feels that the environment of animals is dirty and dirty, and the design is not reasonable. Tickets are a bit expensive for 16 Euros. I do n t know who the naughty child is feeding the tiger with cookies

The zoo was awesome with a variety of Animals to look. All the animals had description about their origin and breed. The park was less crowded which was just perfect to go around. Would recommend.

The biopark would be very nice, but poorly organized. I visited it with my daughter on a midweek day, very quiet but .... Of all the bars and eateries there was only a small self-service open, and hygienically it did not seem the best ... it was specified that the bars and restaurants were not all open during the week

A must for anyone with children up to a certain age. Over time it is improving in the management of animals passing from the old and hateful cages to certainly more comfortable exhibition spaces. What is not improving over time, unfortunately, is the education of the public that goes on average from rowdy dementia to rowdy uncivilized. Noteworthy is the reptile house for both architecture and specimens.

The animals are kept well ..., the bio park has the purpose of accommodating the animals that have been abused and seized ..., many people work there, so you have to support them, help them ...
Needless to say that some of these animals are clearly sad, one of the two elephants has strange behavior, makes continuous movements without any desire to interact, it seems that it has completely lost the will to live, even the felines in solitude do not think they are doing well , but better there than in the hands of unscrupulous people ...
Bring your children to visit the bio park and explain why they live there ... all living beings have the right to freedom ...

After the covid the turnout is minimal and it is very easy to respect the distance. Not if it is the same even on the weekend, but today, Monday, also 3 August, we had a very good time, pleasant even for small children.

Pleasant and exciting experience!
We like the BioParco, but we can do better. The variety of animals is good even if there are not many. They also appear to be well looked after and the staff appear to be knowledgeable and attentive. The arrangement of the cages and the tracing of the path are not very functional: you get lost and are sometimes afraid of having forgotten something. Prices: too high, 16 two full, but in covid time I'm willing to pay a bit more. The rectilarium is truly magnificent, impressive! Highly recommended for families and couples or kids who want to go back for a kids day. Everyone likes the zoo!

Wonderful place! Definitely worth a visit !! I speak as someone who hates the zoo, but here it's different! The animals are treated well, are taken care of, they are kept well in large spaces. It was a real thrill to see these rare species and beautiful all at once.

A just visit lasts at least two hours and a half!

It is a very nice and spectaculous place to see in Rome and very interesting also for children - they will really enjoy it...!!! I recommend to visit Bioparco or zoo, when you are are in Rome for some days!!!

Clean with a good variety of animals. We took taxi from Piazza Venezia area for only about 10 min and costs around 8 Euros.
Our 5 years old child enjoyed the visit at the zoo and spent about 1.5- 2 hours there which was enough to see around.

Might be because I'm Australian (and we do have lots of space, and I grew up with an open range zoo) but it is not my favourite zoo. There is not enough space for some animals. The elephant had the stress stance on, the wolves were not full sized and the enclosures weren't the best. However! There was some amazing animals! Fennec Foxes, wolves, flamingoes and Asiatic lions were things I have never seen.

Park was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon and we got around most of it in two hours when we accidentally went late.

Don't go into the civico museo zoological... It's not the zoo....how we made this mistake I will never know but we did....

The context of the Bioparco is absolutely unmissable for those who want to spend 2 - 3 hours with their children to share the extraordinary nature of nature. Animals are cared for with love and this is reflected in their joyful and satisfying attitude for those who admire them. Very good !!!

With two kids who love animals and a sunny winter day, we had a nice morning at the park. Many displays where closed or under renovation, the catering services were also missing, but thw place was spacious and the animals seemed to be in good conditions. Good for families city an extra day in the city.

Super!! Both children and adults who visit this place will be delighted. The vast territory of the zoo, where you can walk and walk. Beasts of all kinds: giraffes, hippos, penguins, tigers, camels, seals ... and so on and others. Open enclosures where you can contemplate our smaller brothers in conditions that are closest to natural. The zoo itself is located in the huge Borghese park, where, together with a visit to the zoo, you can safely spend the whole day!

Despite the reopening, for now it is absolutely to be avoided.
Unfortunately, the park is not organized to handle such a large wave of people (even if with limited numbers) and that alas does not respect any type of rule. The entrances are not contingent, Despite the obligation of masks at the entrance, everyone is without inside the park, there are many gatherings and people who touch everything despite the prohibition signs. The mere notifications to the speakers are not enough: there must be more staff who check compliance with the rules. It was truly an unpleasant and unsafe experience.

A very well presented zoo. The animals have lots of space and they are in very good condition. This is probably the first zoo where I saw that animals enjoy being there. Most of the animals come close to you (glass wall, barriers). Children under 1 m of height can visit for free. There is a car-train ride within the zoo. 1.50 per person. It's fun. There is also a playground, buffet/eating area where you can buy food. You can find picnic areas too. If you have to smoke there are designated spots where you are allowed to do it.
The park around it is nice too. You can save a whole day for the zoo and the park

Entrance ticket if you register on the site you have 2 euros discount and with Ikea family 3 euros discount for 4 people. The park is beautiful, the bathrooms that leave a little to be desired, I found at 11am already the whole pee on the ground with toilet paper spread everywhere. Certainly the fault is of rude people, but I wanted to write it.

Spaces almost unchanged, some improved, others remained as they were originally. A zoo, not a happy oasis for animals. Obviously I do not question the passion of the staff, but it cannot be called a space in which animals can be happy, vultures and owls still in old aviaries, seals in the usual tanks, for lions they added the protection windows and gained a few meters, ditto for wolves. I do not comment on the space for leopards, which remained unchanged similar to a 41 bis. Sad.

Medium sized zoo. Many exhibits are being worked on and are empty. The white tiger is the highlight for me. Not a must do if in Rome by any stretch, but a good time killer if you have an animal obsessed kid.

After a long time and a great desire to see the animals, the reopening of the Bioparco was handled very badly, too many people and few controls. They should sell tickets by time slots and at the most crowded points put staff to manage the flows.

Very nice and interesting zoo. Ticket price is 16 euros. It was very convenient to get to the square of Spain and from there through the national park. Walking from the metro Spagna 7-10 min. I recommend taking the train to the zoo, which carries around the park for 20 minutes. Ticket price is 1.5 Euro.

The Bioparco of Rome is located inside the park of Villa Borghese. Very nice, suitable for families. Several dining areas and designated smoking areas, we were in the middle of August fearful of the heat instead comfortable and shady paths escaped the risk of sunshine, several fountains and comfortable benches for small siestas. Children very happy and enthusiastic about the animals seen

For us Romans is and always will be the zoo. Located in the middle of the Villa Borghese, the park is beautiful, a set of paths interspersed with spaces dedicated to animals. The fences are spacious and host few specimens. For many types of species, efforts have been made to recreate a small natural habitat. Compared to the past many animals that cannot live in our climates are no longer there Despite many animalist positions, I find the conception of the Biopark and the transformation it has had in these years very useful both for the population to get to know the animals but above all because with the time has become a place that hosts endangered or spoiled animals from bad experiences of captivity, which can no longer be traced back to a free life. The animals are known, the children become attached and find them year after year. There have been historical animals at the Zoo every animal that has been born shows that there is indeed a care and professionalism in managing this heritage. For us, going to the zoo is a party. It belongs to everyone and those animals are everyone's friends. They offer hundreds of children the opportunity to learn to love them. Of course I would like a world in which all animals were free but when this is not possible, it is important that humans intervene to protect their health and find the possibility of a confidence and sharing with men. The zoo goes you always give it to you and even if the ticket is not cheap I willingly spend that money to help hoping that it will be used by qualified personnel and to improve more and more the structures that host our friends.

Really well maintained. The animals seemed happy and can be viewed within a close proximity. It took 5 hours to look at all the animals. They have a fantastic variety including hippos and Siberian tigers.

Excellent park in the heart of Rome. Many animals, well kept and good the setting up of the information boards with the description of the animals. Excellent connection from Rome Termini by bus 910, with a stop 5 minutes walk from the park entrance. The only flaw is the (temporary) absence of refreshment points within the same, for reasons of concession / authorization being renewed, but this is expressly communicated both on the website and at the entrance; however there are various self-service machines such as the one in the photo. Council to check the agreements, present within the site itself, in order to take advantage of a reduction on the admission price.

The only spot in Rome where we didn't hear someone speaking English. It was very nice to get away from that and just see families out for the day. Not the best zoo ever but worth it for the escape.

It seems like a well-kept place and the guests looked after, but to be frequented in the majority by families with children, even very young ones, I would like to pay attention to a real breakdown of barriers

Disappointed with the standard of the enclosures; some exhibits have been modernised whilst many are in need of revamp.

This is only a half day experience at best, though was relatively inexpensive.

A good park in Rome where the peacocks walk free. Definitely bring a stroller if you bring toddlers. Bring some food with you since the park does not offer much. Abit of a long walk from the bus if you use public transport. It is better to hire a car of take a taxi. The park had many animals and is worth it.

A historical place that contains the great animals of the world. A source of culture for everyone framed in the Roman relaxation place par excellence. A place to learn and spend a day with family or friends and have fun.

Just okay... Grounds aren't very well kept, I have seen much nicer and better adapted enclosures in other zoos but animals are okay. Not worth the detour, a leisurely stroll in Villa Borghese park would've been sufficient.
