Worst customer service in the industry especially from Nathan. The company claims products have a limited lifetime warranty and when needing repair their response is the warranty coverage has been terminated. STAY AWAY from this company and it s products.

As a contractor I have used Focus since Nightscaping went under during the recession. Good quality products at a good price. I've never had any problems with warranty on the few occasions that I've needed to use it. (I think the only warranty issues I've had were LED related). I use mostly the copper and brass fixtures, which are lifetime warranty on the fixtures and I think three year on the sockets. I've never had an issue with the sockets since I've been using Focus, as they use high quality ones, but they are easy and inexpensive to change out if there ever was one. Comparable in quality with FX at a much better price.
Downside: Recently it has taken longer to get orders shipped from the factory, so if your supplier doesn't have everything in stock, you may or may not get your order as quickly as you expect. Also, the factory rep for contractor support that serves my area (south western states) is no longer with the company, and I miss his expertise if I ever have a question. He was the reason I moved to Focus, when he moved there from Nightscaping.
Power centers (transformers) are very good. I've never seen one go bad. They have several timer options . The one I use exclusively is the Astro Timer made by Honeywell. You program in the location (latitude and longitude), time, and date. It knows what time sundown is every day and adjusts accordingly, so you never need to reprogram for seasonal changes. It has a lithium backup battery like a computer that maintains memory during power outages of up to 4-5 hours so you don't need to re-program every time the power goes out. I have had to replace them a few times over the many years working with Nightscaping and Focus, but they are more reliable than other timers. They also allow you to set different on/off times for different days or weekends if you desire.
I use only Ace direct burial connectors for wiring, not connectors from any light fixture manufacturer. I've never had one go bad in many years of use, and connectors have been a problem for the landscape lighting industry. The only other connector I have not seen problems with in service calls are pentites
I'm an electrical contractor, I've purchased well over $10k of their fixtures and transformers with my company. I had a bad fixture recently (I've been an electrician 22 years and a contractor for 15) and I am 100% positive it was defective wiring inside the fixture. They fought my salesman at my supply house, insisting it was just a light bulb. They refused to send out 1 new fixture to replace the defective one, insisting that they knew it was just a light bulb. Something that is impossible for someone to know that is not present at the job site. Needless to say I will never purchase a Focus product again and my salesman will not be pushing their products any longer. Such a shame because they make a nice product but have horrible customer service.
I have been in and around construction for 20 years. One of the worst made products I ve ever seen. I ve had multiple issues with our landscape lights along with underwater lights. Decided to give focus lighting a try on our last residential investment property. What a mistake! One underwater light has malfunctioned since day one. They still have not dealt with the issue after 8 months of complaints. The landscape lights were not sealed properly causing bulbs to burn out extremely fast. DO NOT buy this product. Spend a little more on something built outside of China.
Poor customer service, LED products fail...We found one of their drivers had failed, install date was April 2018, two months ago. They accept it is their's, however will not warranty because we did not purchase, another contractor did. Would think a manufacturer would stand behind their product regardless, guess not Focus...they basically gave us some part numbers of what it could be and said find it from someone else....oookkkk
Products are great if you can get them. I'm a retail store that has the option to sell focus products. I will no longer suggest them based on their customer service. Here is my email I've been trying to get my materials.
"We changed this on the 17th, due to you didnt have stock of the lower cost one. We were not informed that item was on backorder. When I discovered we found a solution and changed the PO to one that was in stock it was still never delivered till I had to follow up again on where it is. This makes you guys the only the poor customer service list. Less likely.to want to repeat business when it feels like as a customer I don't care. I would.never treat my customers this way."

Stay away from this company. Their reputation is not good and product well you go to see it. Hope someone is reading this and pay much attention. This company is very poor in treating their employee, they work like animals to get parts ready for this company, they are most of the time under pressured by the bully supervisors there. Little to say most of the part are defected because machines are not fix correctly, or don't even work. From what I see in the others reviews, they don't have customer services and probably bad rap on making parts.
I do not understand how this company is still in business given my recent experience with them. I purchased one of their free standing (with a base) 120v BBQ lights online. It was around $350, so I expected that it would be a high end product from a high end company. When the light arrived, it was not properly attached to the base and was wobbling. Called Focus and they said send it back and they would fix it. I did not want a "fixed" lamp and asked for a new replacement one, but they said the would not do that. This outcome took about 5 calls on my part. I sent it back, and am waiting for their refund. Since I did want the lamp, I went to a local bricks and mortar lamp store and ordered the same lamp, hoping that I would get a better result. I am an optimist. After a couple of weeks I received 2 lamps instead of 1 and they were the wrong ones altogether. The packing list had the right model number and the right quantity, so whoever did the packing/shipping at Focus was not paying attention. Called Focus again several times, and finally got them to understand the problem. One week later, I received the right lamp. I opened it and saw that it had a ding on the metal base from the factory - the cardboard box was intact, so the damage did not happen in transit. I did not care about the ding as long as the lamp worked. I plugged it in, and guess what? It did not work! I am done with this company. Three tries and they cannot get it right.
They appear to be profoundly incompetent in all aspects of quality control and operations. I don't know how they are still in business, much less making a profit.
