I do not understand how this company is still in business given my recent experience with them.
I purchased one of their free standing (with a base) 120v BBQ lights online. It was around $350, so I expected that it would be a high end product from a high end company.
When the light arrived, it was not properly attached to the base and was wobbling. Called Focus and they said send it back and they would fix it. I did not want a "fixed" lamp and asked for a new replacement one, but they said the would not do that. This outcome took about 5 calls on my part. I sent it back, and am waiting for their refund.
Since I did want the lamp, I went to a local bricks and mortar lamp store and ordered the same lamp, hoping that I would get a better result. I am an optimist.
After a couple of weeks I received 2 lamps instead of 1 and they were the wrong ones altogether. The packing list had the right model number and the right quantity, so whoever did the packing/shipping at Focus was not paying attention.
Called Focus again several times, and finally got them to understand the problem.
One week later, I received the right lamp. I opened it and saw that it had a ding on the metal base from the factory - the cardboard box was intact, so the damage did not happen in transit. I did not care about the ding as long as the lamp worked. I plugged it in, and guess what? It did not work!
I am done with this company. Three tries and they cannot get it right.
They appear to be profoundly incompetent in all aspects of quality control and operations. I don't know how they are still in business, much less making a profit.
