Was given the room as an engagement present, which included dinner at the Ground Round restaurant on the first floor and champagne and chocolates in the room. The views from our 7th floor suite were awesome both day and night. The room was clean and the staff friendly. Would recommend!

We stayed here when we came to Osh Kosh for a wedding. The staff was amazing. The rooms were nice and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
The Best Western in Oshkosh, WI. is simple beautiful. You walk in and the lobby is gorgeous. The hotel offers a beautiful dining area with a full bar. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers a huge indoor pool. You can't beat it.
The rooms are incredibly designed. They are very spacious and comfortable. I was traveling with a friend for work and we had to share the room. It offered plenty of space for our things and for each other. Probably the best selling point, is the awesome view of the water just out our back window. The next time you find yourself in Oshkosh, WI., you have to stay at the Best Western. You'll be glad you did.
BEST WESTERN Oshkosh discriminated against my son Fernando who worked for 4 years, very responsible, impeccable, good record and told him that he no longer works anymore, because he could not answer when you called because and he does not use a cell phone and the home phone was disconnected and he was taking care of his mother. And when you told him that it would take time for him to return to work for the CORONOVIRUS PANDEMIC situation that we are experiencing. UNFAIR BEST WESTERN!!
My reservation was entered wrong from the get-go, but I did not immediately check the confirmation email because the correct dates had been quoted to me over the phone multiple times. When I finally did check the confirmation email, the hotel had me checking out one day earlier than I was supposed to be. Keep in mind that I was registered to be attending a structured conference in the hotel's attached convention center from Monday through all day Wednesday. I called on the day I was set to check in (Sunday) and they told me the hotel was fully booked but I could be put on a wait list. I trusted this statement and did not ask any further questions. Later on this same day (Sunday), after driving 80 miles from home, I checked into the hotel and inquired about how the "wait list" works. I was then told that she (the girl at reception) would additionally put a "trace" on my name with the wait list so I would be flagged as needing a room as soon as a room became available. She confirmed my phone number and stated I would received a call if/when a room was open. I again trusted this was how the system would operate. She stated I could still check in occasionally if I wanted to.
So the next day (Monday) after my conference ended around 4, I stopped at the front desk and inquire about an open room and stated I had been on a wait list with a trace. A different woman at the front desk indicated to me that there had been a few rooms that had opened since I checked in yesterday but now there was only one that was still available but at a rate of $159. I am a State of Wisconsin employee and required my hotel stay to be at the tax-free, State block rate. She told me she could not extend the State employee rate for the room and I would have to pay full price. I told her I needed to make a phone call to our financial department to make sure that was okay. I went to my room to make the call and then went back to the front desk approximately 15 minutes later. The same woman proceeded to try and book a room for me, looked at the computer in a confused way, and stated she would be right back. Once she came back she informed that a different employee (a male who I believe to have been the manager, because that's the office she had walked into) had just booked a reservation for someone else and she was sorry but there was nothing that could be done about this. I again stressed I had been on a waitlist since days ago and I had trusted the other employee in regard to how the waitlist worked and that the "trace" feature would have alerted any employee that I was next to receive a room. I inquired as to how my situation would not "trump" what had just happened (the manager giving away the room) when I was currently an in-house guest AND attending a structured conference. She again indicated there was nothing that could be done and my scenario did not take precedence despite the hotel making mistakes multiple times. Ultimately I had to check out the next day and call 5 other hotels in the area before I finally found one in a questionable area that actually had a room available. If no other hotel had a room available, my only other option would have been to return home and miss the last day of my conference.
I was very displeased by the lack of customer service that this hotel provided. When you make a wrong, you really should right it when it's in your capacity to do so.
Now the hotel will claim in their response comment that they called me and left a voicemail - the woman at the desk clarified that it was my personal cell phone that was to be contacted and she verified the number. i did not have any missed call or voicemail from the hotel on Monday morning informing me of an open room. If the hotel called any other number, such as my room phone, this would still be a mistake on the hotel's part. I was at a conference, I did not have access to my room phone & also was obviously expecting to be contacted via personal cell phone. There should be procedures that employees know and follow - don't ensure a guest you will do something and then not.
Terrible customer service!!! Also, make sure you are aware of the hold that will be placed onto your card for incidental charges and the parking they don't tell you about until you check out (which you pay if you have a car and parked - or not)
Could not believe how horrible the staff was to my friends and I. Not only did they talk down to us and question us as we checked in, but even the manager was rude to us when we asked to speak with him. As we were waiting for our cab in the lobby we overheard the front desk workers say to each other, "I'd rather wear a paper bag over my head than wear that!" (Side Note: We were wearing Vikings clothing since we were going to the game, besides the point...say it after we leave, not when we can clearly hear you) The front desk staff should NEVER act this way and make guests feel this way. They are the face of the business and reading the other reviews we are not the only ones who had a horrible experience.
Very expensive, very mediocre. Poor service. Staff is not trained well for this type of service industry. Front desk staff that checked me in talked so fast with her head down I had to tell her to slow down and repeat herself. Left a service hanger on the door for more coffee packets and it was ignored. Why have it then? Low class hotel pretending to be high class. Fall s way short.
Wonderful hotel! Very nice room overlooking the lake. Comfortable bed. Staff very friendly. Had a malfunction in my room but was fixed right away and was left a nice hand written note from the maintenance guy. Something I wasn't expecting but a nice added personal touch. Made me smile.
The only negative was my room was right about the restaurant patio so conversation and laughter was heard all night. Not much that can be done about that though.
Overall it is a hotel that I would highly recommend and is my hotel of choice in Oshkosh, WI.
Upscale hotel with beautiful views. Great front staff and quickly checked in to hotel. Allowed to take luggage up to our room before parking in ramp. Our room was comfortable and extremely clean. Staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. Great restaurant and pool onsite. A little hiccup with fellow patrons having a good time well into night. Security took care of issue quickly.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for four nights. The location and view on the river front are gorgeous and the Ground Round restaurant was wonderful! The staff are excellent and well-trained in customer support and service. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for anyone.
Our weekend stay at this Hotel was great.. easy parking, awesome waitstaff everywhere, including great people and food at the Ground Round. Very, very comfortable stay and heads above other hotel/motel experiences. Couldn't have asked for more.... other than a bit more singing from those quartets singing Barbershop Harmony.
Wish you would have a continental Breakfast - Bartender - super rude - All other staff was great and hotel was clean - pool very nice area - fitness room nice - Too expensive to rent a conference room.
I wasn't expecting this hotel to be as nice as it is. Great convention area with amazing staff. The hotel rooms are very fitting for an Oshkosh setting and are a mix of modern and contemporary.
Clean room, friendly staff, ground round is always good, bartender was very friendly and prompt despite being the only one working the bar due to another employee leaving early. Definitely recommend
Rooms were very well kept, and pretty modern. Overall didn't feel like the four Seasons but nicer than an average Joe hotel. Staff was very nice and parking was convenient. Great location for downtown Oshkosh events. Pretty good value overall, especially if you have a room with a view of the river.
The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Oshkosh and has all the amenities we required including a very comfortable bed. We were surprised and very pleased to find a microwave, refrigerator, safe and coffee maker all conveniently located in an attractive storage unit.
i stayed here for a work training and I must say that I enjoyed my stay! The front desk staff were very nice and my co workers and I utilized the shuttle service and our driver Steve was great! He was so nice , helped with our Luggage, and just made our stay an enjoyable one from beginning to end! I would highly recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area , stay at this hotel!
This hotel is very nice. The renovations to the rooms are fantastic. The pool is open from 7am-2am by the way. That rocks. Came back from the bar early to take advantage of that. Staff was very friendly. The cons: no continental breakfast. The newly contracted out attached restaurant is expensive but nice. Only included breakfast item is coffee. Other than that, great hotel. Breakfast just kinda got to me. Oh, kids eat free on Sunday's. 11am til close. Check out is at 11am. That is deceiving too.
This place is just awesome we've stayed here twice the rooms are nice the hotel is nice and clean i love that the pool stays open untill 2am, kristie that works the front desk is awesome, the bartenders were alot of fun, the food is good and the spotted cow is amazing. And i must throw in the Thanksgiving eve party was so fun my daughter and closed the bar. I am a forever customer.
The hotel is a wonderful part of the waterfront area in Oshkosh! The rooms are comfortable, the fitness center has state of the art equipment, and the price is affordable!! Definitely would recommend staying at the Best Western in Oshkosh!!
First time at this hotel & won't be the last, in fact I'm checking dates for next summer already. Staff was great, rooms awesome & nice to have Ground Round on site. We brought our boat up & having the public piers right in front was a HUGE bonus ! Special shout out to manager Ryan for making our room happen after a mix up with the online agency we booked with. Ryan went above & beyond, we'll book with Best Western directly next time. Thanks for a wonderful stay !!
Excellent staff, beautiful surrounding area, nice rooms, great views, good restaurant and specials, great area to spend happy hour, nice amenities, nice park-like area across the street. Hope to visit again.
I spent a couple nights at the Best Western Premier in Oshkosh and found my stay to be everything I had hoped for. The hotel is located conveniently by the convention center. Check-in was a breeze, the staff was friendly and accommodating. When I entered my room I found it perfectly clean with a large TV, fridge, and microwave. When I opened my curtains I had an excellent view of the lake across the way. The hotel offers many amenities on site including guest laundry, pantry, fitness room as well as a pool that is open late and offers adults-only swim hours. Perfect for a late night swim! I'll definitely stay here again during one of my trips through Wisconsin!
Great place, only downfall was there is no free continental breakfast. There is a restaurant that is attached to the hotel so you receive coupons for 10% off your meal.
Hotel room was very nice. The hot tub was clean and the bar was nice. The convention center leaves a lot to be desired. Food that is provided is lack luster at best and at worst cold or not fully cooked. The carpets are dirty and stained leaving me question the cleanliness behind the scene s and in the kitchen.
Beautiful hotel, super awesome staff, close to everything downtown and a really decent hotel fitness center.. My favorite place to stay in Oshkosh! Love this place!!!
Hotel was great however Ground Round attached not so great first night they decided to close early on us, while paying customers were there. Then we tried to give it a second chance, wrong again soup was cold and wife's turkey sandwich had a small slice of turkey on it. I stay at a premier Best Western because I want to have a drink where I am staying, for this much I could stay at Holiday Inn and at least breakfast included.
Great price and great experience. Friendly staff! Very nice hotel, and walking distance to shopping and night life a plus! We had a great time and plan to come back.
This hotel exceeds every expectation. I do not live in Wisconsin, but the company I work for is based in Oshkosh, so I travel there frequently and have stayed at various hotels in Oshkosh, but now I ONLY stay at this hotel. Here are just a few things to love about it:
- Price. Extremely good price for such a nice hotel in such a great location.
- Location. Right on the water. The rooms have beautiful views over the river, and it's especially nice in the summer when you can eat outside on the deck right next to the water. Furthermore, it's just south of downtown Main St... so within walking distance to good restaurants and bars.
- Quality. The hotel was recently remodeled top-to-bottom (in 2014 I believe?). So everything is pristine and new. The bathrooms are especially nice (and the shampoo smells great, too).
- Amenities. Pool and hot tub. Attached restaurant with awesome daily food and drink specials. Fitness room isn't huge, but all the equipment is nice and brand new.
- Service. Great, friendly staff. Have always been a good representation of the kind people of Wisconsin. There are free cookies at the front desk and a nice little coffee bar in the lobby next to a fireplace.
I can say with certainty (because I've tried everywhere else): there is not a better place to stay in Oshkosh. Couple that with the fact that the rooms are less expensive than what you're used to paying to stay at ANY hotel... and you'd be silly to book anywhere else.
Want a little more space and luxury? Spring for a "Corner King" for another few bucks per night.
The Best Western Premier in Oshkosh, Wi made my stay in the area a joy. It is conveniently located in downtown Oshkosh, an easy walk to anywhere on the Main Street strip. I appreciated being right near the river where I could take a peaceful morning walk too. The staff made check in very easy, I was in my room before I knew it. Accommodations were quiet and very clean. Parking was a breeze (they have a structure). Will definitely return next time I'm in the area.
Very nice hotel-room was very spacious and clean. Entire building was very nice, definitely a high quality hotel. We liked our room better than the Westin.
