Catastrophic security check! People stand for 20 minutes under corona conditions. densely packed in up to five rows side by side. Far too few controls / body scanners are open. No straightening of the queues. What an indictment with the corona numbers rising again.

Small, slow airport with robot-like staff. Transports to and from the city are ridiculous after "normal" hours (if you ever get one of the late flights, take a cab since it's going to be an awefully long ride with the trains). Basically has all the inconveniences of a large airport (long queues at peak times, long time to reach city center...) without the advantages (it's a small regional airport, food and services are bad).
I forgot to add that they still use shuttle buses to board a non-negligeable number of planes, which is retarded. Takes ages to board a full plane, it's really insane! Not sure I have ever seen a flight being on time in this joke of an airport.

Sometimes I have to wonder how unprepared some holidaymakers have completed their corona test. This increases the waiting time a lot

We flew 1 week ago and everything went pretty smoothly. Today we came back and I was allowed to watch directly from the plane as each suitcase something was thrown around by the I would have preferred to go out and asked if they are still very clean with foreign property to deal with it. with plenty of space and possibilities to entertain yourself, while waiting for your flight, this airport did a good job. Its clear where to go to and easy to find the places where to drop your baggage. The main hall is big, and gives the feeling u are at a gateway to the world.

Waited 1.5 hours for a suitcase - catastrophic! When will those responsible finally be held responsible? The grievances also show up in other places (waiting for buses and escalators). At other airports - which are much larger - it also works. So there are no excuses! The metropolis of Hamburg deserves a better airport.

Poorly designed security line, pinchpoint causes single line queueing which creates a huge queue back whilst allowing those entering adjacent to skip the queue and mingle in. VIP lounge wasn't great either, minimal selection of cold food and actually closed (circa 21:30hrs) whilst I was waiting for my flight, I thought major airports operate on a 24hr basis?

I always had a nice experience at this airport. Emirates flight from Dubai. Passport control was very easy and quick. Luggage arrived with in a very short time. Clean washrooms and nice to see separate arrangement for disabled passengers. Very good international airport indeed.

The corona measures leave something to be desired.
We found the staff at the security check to be extremely rude and rude. Next time we will definitely be flying from somewhere else.

A modern airport, with informative signs, convenient transportation, from the city center can be reached in 25 minutes by s1 train, directly to the airport building. There is a supermarket Edeka, with prices as in the city

Luggage chaos for weeks. This means delays in luggage collection and departure. Staff very friendly - airport does not provide any information or support.

My experience with the access control staff has been very unpleasant, very little education and little willingness to work and help.

Unprofessional service, i ordered wheelchair for my mother she is 81 years old. The worker from airport came to take her and said she would not carry the cabine luggage for my mother because she was not a carrier ... And she would also not bring my mother until the airplane door... And we called 2 times to confirm this service and they said .. Yes we bring until the door. How can you trust a airport like this also thank you lufthansa .. For the lack of service.

Easily accessible and clean airport, friendly staff and clear counters ... the waiting times are shortened by nice little shops and cafes.

Absolutely child-unfriendly airport (in combination with miserable LH service):
No delivery-on aircraft for buggies when landing
When arriving by train, BOTH lifts failed ...
... and escalators blocked with bollards so that prams cannot pass through !!! They are intelligent in HH !!!
No priority boarding for families with small children
Only check-in at the machine despite children and lots of luggage

The HH should take an example from MUC - a thousand times better!

Unfortunately, this time I was allowed to use the airport with a disability. I flew from Barcelona to Hamburg. In Barcelona, there was a service that took me from the check inn to the gate in a wheelchair, which made me very grateful, as the paths to the gate with crutches are very tiring and wide. On the plane they told me and my escort that we should stay seated until the end and then I would be picked up again with a wheelchair. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes until we could leave the plane. The plane has already been cleaned and the new crew came on board, so it just felt annoying. When we were picked up after a long wait, a wheelchair was not enough (there was also an elderly lady who needed one). The service staff told me to take the wheelchair as I could walk less than the elderly lady, which was very uncomfortable. In the car on the tarmac we had to wait again, because we still had to pick up people from a plane that had just landed.
Overall, we were able to leave the airport just under 2 hours after landing, although we had no checked-in luggage.
For us as young people this was okay, but if I imagine that older people are always dependent on this help, I find that just frightening and sad, that it is very difficult and nerve-wracking for them, with the Plane to travel.

Just like most other airports, nothing too exciting. Norwegian had no self check-in option here

So bad .... It took us two hours to get to safety on the way there. Now we are back and the baggage claim was 12:55 planned baggage claim ... Now it is 1:30 p.m. and no baggage in sight. Lunch break? Drive up parking fees for which they are picked up? Really terrible...

There is no parking problem, there is a parking place for the disabled, there is a charging place for electric vehicles, security is good, there is everything for clean shopping

The pros to this airport is the security check is pretty straight forward along with the passport check but the downside is checked luggage and customer service is absolute zero

The signage for the journey by car is a bit sparse. The check-in is quick, the staff is very friendly.

Standard airport. The usual shops and restaurants within the security area. Deduction is here because you have to walk eternities to the gate. In addition, the signage is in need of overhaul.

After years with two to four flights a year from Hamburg I write my rating as a satisfied guest. The airport is clean and well arranged. The shops are ideal for recent travel essentials or snacks.

Airports that let you know that developed countries cannot speak English. I stopped by for a while to stop, but the staff didn't speak English and took it back because I was sorry that the baggage came out wrong.

20+ minutes wait times at the security checks and no priority lane, airport lounge closed at 6pm. Basically half of the value of a business class ticket down the drain.

A very modern building with the latest technology. Especially when checking in. However, when we arrived we had to wait half an hour for our luggage. Wasn't that great ...

Disastrous luggage delivery, 1 hour waiting time, it is unbelievable. Unfortunately, Hamburg Airport can't do it, not even in quieter times

Not only on arrival there is still a catastrophe with the luggage. Now they don't get the luggage on the plane and this shifts the start time of the plane by at least 40 minutes

Big problems with lack of organization already when boarding

Everything perfect. A very modern airport, very clean, a good selection of restaurants, cafes and shops and the baggage claim was super fast so the criticism on this point can not be reconstructed.

The airport is good but definitely not my favourite in Europe. It was crowded, and I could not find nice places to sit down.

What kind of rabble works here should you be fired like at Zurich Airport.

No distance markings at the check in counters and gates. I believe that the airport has not heard of any corona measures. No markings in the tunnel to the plane either.

It's annoying when you have to fight your way through dense cigarette smoke to get into an entrance door. It would be time to put that off.
