I expected no less than excellent, especially since RockCreek is my favorite restaurant, and they did not disappoint. My girlfriend and I got the rib eye which was melt in your mouth delicious, and the chicken, which was delicious. Great service, would recommend for any special occasion.

Always wanted to try this place. My brother and I took our mom here for her birthday dinner tonight, I read a lot of the reviews and many of them mentioned the waiting staff wasn't too friendly and didn't care and seemed like there was no passion for their work. That was not our experience. All of the staff, our waitress, staff coming around to fill water and those bringing us our food were all wonderful. One of the girls was filling water and filled our glasses of coke and spilled some of the coke on the table, she offered to pay for it and take it off our check. It was only a few dollars, but I told her no, she insisted, I again insisted that she didn't, barely any came out and mistakes happen and our visit was already wonderful, when it happened she was very polite and apologetic, we really appreciated that. The staff there is attentive and incredible! Speaking of incredible, my brother and I ordered steaks, hands down one of if not the best steak I have had the pleasure of eating. My mom ordered the wild boar, never had boar before and she said it was perfect! We ordered sides of grits and a scalloped potato dish, grits were amazing and paired well with the steak. The scalloped potato dish was very flavorful. Wonderful staff and wonderful food, the whole atmosphere was great. We will all definitely be back again!
Of all the Ribeye Steaks I have had this ranks among the best of the best. Definitely top 3, maybe best of them all.
I always fear ordering a Ribeye because I know the potential is amazing every time, no matter the price. However, anything less than perfect disappoints ultimately knowing it could be better.
This did not disappoint. It was delightful.
Note about the arbitrary: I like my steaks on the rare side of medium rare. I ordered mine rare this time around and it came out perfect to my liking. Someone who wanted it truly rare might have been disappointed.
On the other hand my wife ordered the Filet medium rare and it came out rare (more rare than mine). They promptly threw it back on the grill and brought it back out quickly, and cooked perfectly medium rare.
I had the wild boar with gnocchi and it was amazing. Heavy fennel flavor, but I liked it a lot. I also had the Montana Mule and that was amazing. Not a big fan of the Black Garlic Caesar Salad and the Chocolate Lava Cake wasn't amazing, but the peanut butter ice cream was good.
We shared several small plates and it seems like the way to go. The grits were excellent as was the lamb sausage.
Service was very fast and attentive and we got a table pretty quick (but if you can get a reservation do so).
It's pricey but you get what you pay for. That said we were not impressed with the drinks so maybe grab food here and move on down the street for a few beers at a brewery.
The food was ok,it doesn't match the price at all, a little bit disappointed! We went there for a friends birthday, after we finished dinner and they told us have to leave in 10 minutes, because other people booked that table too!
I had the Fennel Braised Wild Boar Shoulder with Parmesan Gnocchi and my son had the Ribeye. They were both delicious. The Cauliflower Au Gratin was very tasty but it was a little crunchier than we would prefer. Our waitress was attentive and gracious. We thought there should have been some bread before and during our meal. Be prepared to request salt, pepper, sweetener etc, if you want it, because it's not at your table. However I get the concept, and yes, our food was perfectly seasoned, as far as we were concerned, too. My only real complaint was the chairs. They were designed for style, not comfort.
The service was off. It seemed like they are doing a job without any passion, just interested in talking to each other not watching their tables. The food was good. I would not go back.
Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. Went here on Valentine s Day. No room for a table, but - happily - two seats at the bar opened up. Trevor was our server and was phenomenal. Even when, about 5min before showing up, their point of sale (POS) machines had gone down. He did a brilliant job (and so did the kitchen!) without missing a beat. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Had the Venison Loin, which melted in my mouth, and Bison Hanger, which I will dream about for nights to come ...along with pudding desert. Wine was their Savage Grace Cab Franc and Chateau Platon Red Blend. Thanks to the staff for a memorable evening.
Fantastic happy hour! The burger was amazing and the ribs were even better! The bar tenders know their stuff and have a great bottle selection. Word of warning, it is a popular place. Get in early cause some of the best menu items run out regularly.
Went here post Valentine's day with my significant other and it was a great time. The food was great and the ambiance was nice. I would definitely come back again.
The place is busy and seems fun. The food did not taste good. It was either ever or under spiced. The elk ribs her soft but without flavor, also they were cold in the middle.
Someday, I might come here and drop $100 on a steak, but for now, the other entrees and sides are too good to pass up. The atmosphere is vibrant, and our window seat gave my noisy toddler the chance to distract himself with busses and fire trucks driving by without causing much disturbance. My wife and I make a habit of getting the squash, and the mushroom grits, both of which are fantastic.
The food was absolutely incredible, but it was the service that put this place over the top! One of the most enjoyable dinners we've had in a long time. Two small negatives are that parking is a bit difficult in the neighborhood and the noise level was a bit loud because of the room design. But those are both small annoyances to be able to have that type of food and service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Just delicious. Some of the best meat I've ever had. Since it's in greenwood, doesn't have the pretension of places closer into the city.
Extraordinary. The most delectable appetizers, moist steaks, mouthwatering lamb, a spirits menu for all drinks of life and the best, a Basque favorite: burnt cheesecake. Worth every penny.
Happy hour. Really. One if the best. Pickled veggies with tahini blue cheese hummus. Bleu cheese burger. Pate banh mi. O don't even want to say how good it is because it will get too crowded.
The meals changed into wonderful! Some of the maximum tender & delicious pork chops, filet & ribs I've ever had!! The carrier turned into additionally fantastic as the whole lot we requested for, as well as a few things we did not ought to ask for, have been delivered directly & with a genuine smile. I extraordinarily advise this place to anyone that enjoys
FlintCreek Cattle Co was a hidden treasure! Great happy hour. The menu may be small but the food is top notch, and so are the drinks. I recommend the blue burger and the buffalo steak with a side of their potatoes - delicious!
What a fantastic spot in Greenwood! My friend and I shared the 12 ounce ribeye and the pommes dauphinoise along with the burrata and grilled squash appetizer. Ooh, we got the brown butter bourbon pudding with coconut cream for dessert. Everything was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back! The cocktails are great, too! Get the Mango Fireside Chat -- you won't be disappointed!
I love eating here, but the person I went with was very bothered by the noise and people standing right behind us at the bar. He also ordered the venison, which he said was had too much pepper and you couldn't taste the meat. I hope to go back but I'm not sure it will be soon! Maybe next time will be better.
An example of excellent service. We had ordered appetizers/meal/drinks and had just finished the endive salad (delicious) and gotten our drinks when I got a call about a family emergency and had to leave right away. I asked about paying our bill and they indicated not to worry about it and to go take care of our family. Just what we needed..
Overall a really good place to eat. Came here for our anniversary meal and was not disappointed. All around great selection of food and the house cocktails are great twists on classics.
What really sealed the 5 stars was the dessert. The banana split is incredible. It's big enough to share between two people after a meal, but so good you won't want to share.
The pickled vegetables were really good, as was the grilled squash. Bison hanger steak was nice, but the accompaniments fell a little flat. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, and I'd go back to try a steak.
Flintcreek Cattle Co goes beyond a traditional steakhouse with a creative menu in an inviting, modern space. Offering items for the traditionalist (ribeye, pork chop) or a bit more off the beaten path (venison loin, bison hanger steak) all of the food is delicious and well prepared. The wine list has interesting choices, with a focus on the northwest but still maintaining options from France and California. The cocktail options are also creative and fun. Very much worth the trip to 85th street if you are in Seattle.
Review is for happy hour only. Got here at 4pm and got bar seating with a friend. Ordered the blue cheese butcher burger (limited to 12 a day per website) for 7 bucks and an old fashioned also 7 bucks. Wish the burger came with a side of fries to complete the meal. The blue cheese worked well with the juicy beef Patty. A bit oily as it soaked thru the fresh n fancy buns. My friend said it was fatty but i didn't mind it. I ate it with my hands and it was pretty messy. For 7, this is a solid burger. The drink was good too.
Such a nice hip place to eat in Seattle! Food was absolutely amazing, nothing out of place at all. Flavours were incredible. You should come here if you're looking for quality and presentation.
Delicious and impeccable service! The only negative is their rib eye is slightly overpriced for being on the tough and chewy side. But it, and all of the other dishes, had great flavor that was only outmatched by their fantastic service. They have good cocktail and wine lists, as well.
Everything that we tried here was prepared beautifully, and somehow tasted as good as it looked. Excellent experience all around, from service to food. I'll be going back.
A very nice place but felt rush when ordering.. place closes around 1030ish and by 930pm we kept having the server remind us to order now cause the kitchen will be close soon, was actually kind of upsetting.. good selection of land and sea.
Great place to go if you are looking for something a little fancier than middle of the road. Service, cocktails, and food were perfect. It s not easy finding a menu to catches my curiosity.
Everything we ordered was excellent. The bison, ribeye steak, duck confit, mussels, roasted eggplant, were very flavorful and made from obviously high quality ingredients. I brought my own bottle of wine since my friend from Spain was visiting and the corkage was reasonable. Service was top notch and professional.
Service was great and our starters were amazing. The BLT salad is incredible as well as the prosciutto. Only reason for the 4 stars is the steaks were just ok, nothing special. Ordered the Delmonico and it was lacking seasoning. Ordered medium rare and came out much more rare so the fat had not rendered completely and left the meat in the chewy side. I would go back for the starters but go elsewhere for a steak.
I went by myself last night as I was passing through Seattle. I had the ribeye and green beans. When they asked me how the dinner was I just responded look at the plate. The dinner was terrific and the numerous people there i dealt with could not have been nicer and friendlier. I appreciated the good meal and service. Saw quite a few couples on dates. Clearly a perfect spot for them to go.
One of those Seattle restaurants that is crazy over-priced for small appetites. Either be prepared to pay a large chunk of change for a decent sized meal or eat somewhere before and after. Quality of food is not memorable. Please, forgive me for the rhetorical question: Is atmosphere really worth that much to people?
Food = wow! One of the best meals I've had in a while. Quality & cooked to perfection. Great ambience/environment (we had a table which overlooked the kitchen). My only suggestion for improvement was service; it was a busy night and service to get drinks and dessert menus was slow.
I booked a reservation via the Open Table app, arrived about half an hour early and checked in just in case they were able to seat us early, and they were, which was nice. And they were very pleasant and friendly with that and throughout our time there. They were also great about seating us near a window and away from the entrance, per the special request I put in my reservation. The hostess noted the request without any prompting and made sure the spot she picked out was what I was aiming for, and it was.
The food came out in a logical order, didn't take long, and was not just delicious but interesting. Regarding the "starters" (salads, small plates), the very good, and unique, Belgian endive salad was more oily than I thought it had to be. The venison pate small plate was only good, not very good or great.
The wild boar shoulder with parmesan-potato gnocchi on the other hand was great and it'll be hard to make myself try a different main dish next time.
The oven roasted duck confit was also great, and these two main dishes complemented each other very well.
Nutshell: Great food, great service, very good ambience; reasonable price for the quality of the food, service, location, and atmosphere; noise level a little high but reasonable and perhaps lending a "festive" atmosphere = great experience. Definitely looking forward to my next meal at FlintCreek Cattle Co.
It was excellent! Great service, great cocktails, and the food was awesome. Duck, chicken, steak, and pasta was perfectly done. Highly recommend this as the nicest restaurant in greenwood.
Great atmosphere with quick and friendly service. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but I never felt like we were forgotten had less priority than other guests. The food was excellent at a moderately expensive price point. The drink menu is extensive as well with many custom crafted cocktails to choose from.
I wasn't excited about the menu but ordered a few things anyway, and I am glad because they were delicious! I came in during happy hour and sat at the very busy bar. The bartenders are absolute professionals who were able to manage everyone quickly, and make it seem effortless.
The carrots are awesome, and so is the corned beef cheek salad. YUM
