Started going there in mid 70's. It's changed a lot since then, Great place to take a family for an afternoon. Have fun
Well worth the time! Take the tram tour, it is absolutely wonderful. It is amazing the number of different fruit trees on the property.
We really enjoyed the Flamingo Gardens. I loved walking among the peacocks and egrets that just wander the grounds. But give yourself at least 2 hours. We didn't get there until 3:30 and they close at 5:00. We saw a lot but wished for more time.
Beautiful gardens, lots of rescued wildlife, some amazing trees...think champions...and a cool dinosaur exhibit going on until September 2nd.
I loved the experience all the animals were so cute! I give 5 stars but wish i could put more!
Very nice place to spend weekend specially with kids.
Wonderful place. Beautiful and enchanting. Great pace for kids that love birds. Peacocks everywhere with beautiful birds and plants around every corner.
Very interesting n well taken care of n irs animals
I would recommend this for the whole family, my family really enjoyed and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The only reason the price is worth paying is because they are a non-profit organization. The guy that runs the show was very knowledgeable but so very monotone. They need someone more enthusiastic and entertaining. And the tables at the snack bar near the flamingos need a good scrubbing. Otherwise we had a good afternoon at the park. I got to see a bald eagle for the first time in my life! That was cool.
Awesome place to visit. Something for everyone of all ages. Easy walking at hour own pace
Great place to visit outdoors safely. Went during the week, and there was hardly anyone there in the morning. Flamingos and peacocks were beautiful.
What an incredible experience today visiting Flamingo Gardens. All the exotic birds, exotic trees and plants. incredibly large trees hundreds of years old. Alligators and snapping Turtles. The peacocks were mating, Joshua the bear and Buddy the Florida panther. Incredible orchids everywhere. Took a tour through the original owners house just like it was back in the day. This family has been there since 1927. Had a nice bite to eat at the concession stand near the flamingos. Fresh delicious sandwiches and salads. I was really impressed with Flamingo Gardens and we'll be bringing other relatives back soon. Shannon was also very helpful. This place comes highly recommended. You will enjoy it immensely.
Beautiful place in Fort Laudardale. For a quiet pedestrian visit. Its flamingos stand out among its gardens and other species.
Very cheap entry of 4 and 2 dollars.
You can get discount coupons. In hotels and tourist offices.
It closes early at 5 in the afternoon.
So much to see! Much nicer to know that all birds and animals are rescues and can't live in the wild as opposed to being held captive for our viewing pleasure. Tram Ride was great. We thought be we would spend an hour or so, but had more to see than we thought and stayed until closing time. The cafe had decent hot dogs and Chili dogs and pretzels with hummus. Recommend a visit if you love plants, trees, birds and wildlife!
Fantastic venue. Primarily a wild bird sanctuary accomondations for events, barbeques..etc. Fabulous.
Very nice place for a family outing and for a good cause
Had a great time. Excellent gift shop. Great for kids and live jazz outside for everyone.
Wonderful place to spend the day with family. The annual orchid and bromeliad show is a plus!
I like it is very nice It's clean and beautiful
Wonderful place to wander and enjoy the afternoon. Excellent animal enclosures with clean setting. Take the kids!
Fun experience. Good for a few hours. Need to have some picnic benches outside. Also need some more animals. Otters were the hit!
Need to update animal show, and add a few different things. Same old stuff, won't return for a while.
Took my lovable, sweet son, I love so much here to explore and experience thousands the unique trees, flowers, Birds that were put here and planted from all over the country and world. Spend a day walking in this beautiful gardens!
It's an amazing place to go see different animals and have a walk. Its peaceful and comforting and all the staff are amazing people.
Amazing experience touring parts of the okd Everglades forests before we destroyed so much of them. Great wildlife experience, tram tour, historical house tour, plus self guided tours seeing all their birds and wildlife. I would highly recommend this place. Especially for such a good price!
What a gem! Someone suggested this place for plants. Everyone we spoke to was so nice. And strolling through the botanical gardens was so relaxing and inviting and inspiring!
Stunningly beautiful. Enjoyed every minute and didn't want to leave.
Quiet place to see animals and some specimens of plants. Be sure to visit the home of the locals who donated the area to the park.
Decent place to spend an hour or two with the kids.
We ve been annual members for a few years and there s always something new to see every time. Our zen place.
Nice place to visit with the kids. Parking can be hard when busy
Really enjoyed my time here. The animals are all rescued and can't live in the wild any longer. Or.... They were surrendered from pet owners. They do a really nice job of giving them much needed space (as much as they can) and the garden shop is great.
I have been here many times, I love this place. The trees and plant life is amazing, fun seeing all the animals just a great family place to visit
The people keeping the gardens and animals are doing a great job. Very clean.
Beautiful and worth the money. You also get to feed flamingos and it makes your hand tickle so 10/10.
Tried buying tickets online because your box office closes at 4pm tmrw...have 10 people coming tmrw at 5pm....was planning on buying tix when we got there. But online not an option..your website all screwed up. Asking for email address which I've had 15 years And won't accept....really!!! Your loss..typical south Florida incompetence....your loss!!!
Small intimate location. Kids get bored here fast. Best part were the otters.
This place is amazing. Worth the price for sure. Staff is amazing
You're better off checking out the palm beach zoo or anything else... I think they're having financial troubles... landscape & displays desperately need help!
Family and I had a good time at the Flamingo Gardens. Beautiful park for the whole family. Friendly staff and clean garden, you can also feed the peacocks or any small animals in the area. I will recommend it to visit it with the family.
Great place to bring the family beautiful trees lots of animals and history
Great Place to visit..From Plants to wildlife natural beauty and a great staff of people
Great place. Lots of fun and educational. Took my brother who is a wildlife biologist up north. He really enjoyed it.
Fascinating gesture in botanical marketing. The staff is polite and the one of a kind find is at your fingertips . Worth the drive
Cool place to spend a afternoon. Not a massive collection of animals but enough to keep you busy for a few hours.
Cool little place with pretty birds and plants. A little too pricey for what you get. Feel like the flamingo part should be bigger. But it s a nice place for a family and kids to enjoy the day.
Great place for photography! I was skeptical, when I first arrived, because there were about 8 school buses in the parking lot, but there was so much to see, and it was so spread out, that crowding wasn't an issue. Everything is up close and personal, you're not viewing the animals from a distance. The panther and bobcats were behind glass, but it was clean and clear, allowing for some great pictures!
I enjoyed it immensely, and highly recommend it.
I love this garden so much that I am a member. Flamingo gardens is a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of South Florida. I also enjoy taking pictures of the stunning wildlife, flowers, and nature that is everywhere within the garden. This is a must see spot if you are in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Great park! I've been a couple of times. This time was extremely hot but there were some updates since the last time and there was a dinosaur exhibit going on throughout the park which my Son loved!
I love this place. Always something interesting to see here, between the birds and the plants.
Wonderful unexpected find! Loved the river otters! Definitely worth a visit!
Occasional community events such as Orchid pot in mangoes Etc
Honestly the trip was alright but I would have renamed this place Peacock Gardens rather than Flamingo Gardens. I haven't seen any Flamingos until the tour guide showed us the flamingos in a hidden corner. The tram ride was nice, I enjoyed it for sure. If you are into photography, this trip is worth it, beautiful sceneries and the view is magnificent, eye-dropping. However if you are just there for a trip, nothing much to explore.
We spent about three and a half hours there and totally enjoyed the whole place it's a must to do.
Always fun and interesting, especially when they have events taking place. Definitely worth the trip.
Wonderful animal sanctuary.beautiful grounds of exotic tropical plants.a nice way to spend half a day strolling thru the park.
This place is AWESOME! Beautiful scenery, great bird sanctuary. Even the gift shoppe and the Wray House are amazing! Highly recommend this place to visit
So fun! Laid back, educational, and the friendliest staff!
Went there today with my family. It was a good experience and the best part was getting the chance to actually feed the birds. It was raining the whole time but it didn t damper the experience. The otters looked like they were enjoying the visitors and wanted to entertain and play! Fun time walking around and seeing all of the wildlife!
This place is magical. The gardeners have gone through extensive lengths to raise orchids, bromeliads, ferns and epiphytes all across the extensive grounds creating the space to be lush, dense, and full of detail not to mention along with rare species of plants! It also includes an aviary where they help rescued birds and allow visitors to feed the flamingos.
Great family fun. I stepped back in time to simpler place with great landscape a turn of the century home and an excellant tram ride. The animal attracts where fine and they also had florida panthers on display.
Great place for a walk with your sweetie and/or the kids.
Beautiful, historical and love the trees, flowers and so peaceful
Totally worth it! Beautiful grounds, wonderfully kept and with the best of intentions. Do the guided tour
