Hotel Diamante Calpe Review

Clean, with friendly staff. Disappointing restaurant, tables are not laid so need to look around for cutlery etc

I want to highlight the long queues that are organized in the restaurant to get even the bread. For each meal, you have to save your turn, so between courses you do the digestion and that the staff is very fast, but they cannot arrive.
However my great dissatisfaction comes with the total management. I had a SPA voucher to spend in another hotel of the same chain, also in Calpe closed by Covid. When I made the reservation they told me that if I booked at this hotel I could spend it without problem. When I arrive, I go to the spa to make my appointment but they tell me to come down with the voucher because they have to see it, that each one has a code and that it depends on it. Counting that there would be no problem the next day I go with the voucher and another receptionist at the spa tells me that being from another hotel I cannot spend it there. I explain everything previously spoken, but he ignored it. I went up to the hotel reception indignantly so that they gave me the complaints book and they told me to come down again because they manage it in the spa. When I request it, now the same spa receptionist tells me that she is going to take a photo and that she passes it on to her superior on WhatsApp and calls me. In fact, he calls me and tells me that the voucher is very old and that it depends on Balnearia, not on them. Let me call them and if they extend the validity period, they have no problem with me making use of it. I must point out that the voucher did not expire. I'm looking for the phone. on the internet and nothing comes out. I call the spa again to get the phone. and he gives it to me from Balearia (Boats and Ferries). Almost an hour wasted on the phone. and finally for nothing. There I already decided not to waste any more time of my weekend because I saw that it was a losing battle, in the meantime incompetent and I felt cheated and bullied by so many people. However, I could see that for the issue of bonds, etc. the hotel goes through the lining the prices indicated. With Euro Nights you mark a minimum that there in the hotel is more important. Later in the spa, there was a lady with a book for the spa for 2 and I heard how they told her that for her spa even though the book says for 2, there it only served for 1 person. It seems that there are plenty of them, due to the humiliating treatment of the client, because I am clear that in relation to value for money, it is very expensive and given its bad location there are much better hotels in Calpe. To fight at the Plaza de Toros!

Amazing place, I was there many times and had a great time. There are a few things to do in the city surroundings as well, but just staying in the hotel with the buffet, pool, games for family, kids and adults was great. No time to get bored

The first thing is to congratulate the hotel for the kindness of the employees and the attention received by the hotel receptionists. Hotel we have been repeating in the same hotel 5 times and we have never had any problem, the Restaurant both the staff We have noticed a great Variety in the gastronomy in the restaurant recently improved from last year to this, I recommend the hotel so much for its views from the balconies as kindness and treatment of the staff as you do not have to worry about anything since they are always attentive to our needs. I recommend the hotel for quality price.

For a four star, the food has been mediocre. There were too many people in the dining room. I think that being so full they have had to cut back on the quality of the food and make do with what they had ... Cheap is always EXPENSIVE ... !!!

A functional hotel at first sight of good quality, 4 Stars superior. It is the typical hotel with many floors and three swimming pools with different sizes, from the smallest to the deepest, all in an oasis area. The area is somewhat small trying a hotel with so many rooms but still not negative and you can bathe perfectly. We read that the hammocks were highly priced and we had no problem in 10 days to catch 4 hammocks. The buffet is very complete although you find there is a lack of novelty, type "world meals" there is no day in Japan, Mexico etc ... and when you take a week the dishes are repeated, but it is true that there is a lot of quality and quantity, All very European. The rooms are complete, although somewhat small for 4. The two little ones had to sleep on a somewhat small sofa bed when normally in the 4s hotels the quadruple rooms are usually very spacious and with separate beds for the little ones, yet we have been quite comfortable. The hotel is a few steps from the beach, 5 minutes walk and that is appreciated. The beach is beautiful although there are days with many seaweed but it is still beautiful. To highlight and by far is the animation of the hotel, the boys / girls who take care work in love with their work and it shows a lot, they are delivered with the kids at all times and there are activities at all hours. What has surprised us the most is that they also eat and have dinner with the kids. The "Rocky Club", that's what it's called, opens from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but if the kids want they can eat lunch and dinner with the monitors, so if they end up having dinner then they go down to dance and are with them until 22:30, something impressive. We were reluctant to let them eat or dine because we wanted to be with them but in the end they like being with the monitors so much that there were some lunches and dinners that were spent with them and it was incredible for them. This allows the parents to take a walk on the street "if you want to have the mobile operating" or stay at the hotel and have a drink after having a quiet dinner with your partner. It is the first hotel where we find this type of service and the kids have been delighted. Every night there is a show in the tent that they have next to the pool and these shows are of a high level, we also stand with this since we did not expect it. In the lower part they have a gym with just enough to be able to train a little and right next to one of the best Spa on the peninsula they announce it we were one afternoon and the truth is that it is very complete and very beautiful, with many areas and Very spacious, we liked it pleasantly. In short, I have to put 5 stars because we were not sure about it but the stay was incredible and very enriching, especially for the entertainment and the people who are in it and make you and your kids smile at all times.

Hotel (I would call it better Brilliant) with good facilities but somewhat expensive in high season for the services it offers. Let me explain, for example, breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffet-style (it covers the appropriate Covid measures) but although they offer variety, the quality leaves a little to be desired (a bit unexpected since although it has nothing to do with the hotel, it has apart from a Michelin-starred restaurant) and many times eating seems a complicated task because capacity is exceeded and sometimes the meal is finished early. Perhaps they should do the meals in a staggered way according to schedules, in addition the beds in the double room are somewhat small (90cm) more when they indicated that they would be 135cm, the air conditioning does not work and the receptionist when we arrive instead of informing us of the schedules and hotel services told us to scan a QR code in which all the information came, suggesting a certain neglect and little desire to attend. If your idea is to rest and relax in summer it is not the best option since they must have a KIDS FREE promotion and it is full of children. The hotel must be close to its MAXIMUM capacity. In short, I had high expectations in this hotel and the reality is different.

The staff is very attentive and friendly, the facilities impeccable, the rooms are comfortable, has animations for adults, mini club for children, small but very nice spa, gym, a very varied buffet and at a reasonable price. To repeat!!!

We thought a lot about whether to go to a hotel under the circumstances and we were not wrong, the hotel with all the appropriate measures to the letter and an extraordinary bed. Lovely relaxing spa with lots of interesting pools showers and water jets

Great hotel with stunning views from the upper floors, large rooms, very friendly and helpful staff.
The very large spa with several showers, Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi, ... very good.
Breakfast very good and varied and to say something not so good, dinner a bit weak.
COVID measures quite good and I did not suffer long lines to access the dining room, about 5 minutes at most

Beautiful but cold buffet and room not done properly

This is a fantastic hotel and spa in Calp. The bedrooms are spacaious and tastefully decorated with all the mod cons. The buffet breakfast is fantastic as are all the other meals. There are some really good deals here, especially if you book a package through Thomson. Definately worth looking at if you are visiting Calpa

Hotel with very good facilities and near the beach. The free buffet is very varied and tasty, there are not the typical buffet dishes. One drawback (that happens in all the buffetes) is that the tongs to catch the food mix the people with several dishes and it is stained. Another issue to improve are the bathtubs, they are very high and getting in and out of it is uncomfortable, and I think that an older person would have a hard time getting in and out. Despite this, the treatment of the staff is very good, they are very attentive and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

I had everything I wanted for holiday. Clean and comfortable place. Good rooms for dancing.

We were having dinner at La Pergola restaurant that is inside the hotel, next to the pool. The dinner was very good and the best was the King Leon show they did on a stage next to the tables area. During the summer there are several shows. If you go with children it is ideal!

Very good reception, care in general and luxurious facilities. Last night at dinner, a disappointment that there was more food preparation. Lots of variety of individual and little prepared food. It is understood that if you have 200 cyclists from all over Europe fits the menu, but the rest have no fault. 10 breakfast a variety of breads, pastries, fruit, cold cuts and fresh juices ...

Gets a little crowded and not enough elevators. Amenities are nice, most of the staff is hospitable, and the food is good.

The hotel is very neat. Friendly staff and nice swimming pool! Sometimes the food was a bit disappointing. It was often the same. The restaurant looks a bit like a refectory. It is very loud and there are many screaming children. This is a work point.

Nice, clean, modern and friendly hotel for a short stay. The beds are not very comfortable though so if you're looking for a comfortable and restful night sleep or need a soft bed, this place might not be for you.

The food selection especially at breakfast is amazing and there is something for everyone even the little ones.

The swimming pools are great and there's an indoor pool for when the outside ones are a tard cold.

There are a variety of restaurants all around you for authentic Spanish meals.

The views and scenery all around you are simply sublime so pack you bags and head on down here for a lovely holiday in the sun.

Recently I have been in this hotel for a weekend. Book a supreme room with views of the Rock and as such pay more expensive. But my recommendation is that if you are not going to be on the terrace time as it is my case better to book a normal room and save money. The spa is well in line with others already visited with similar characteristics.
My third star is the very varied Buffet and quality food I think is one of the best I've visited in hotels in this category. The rest of the hotel and the treatment of the right staff.

Very good hotel, shame about the bed!! It had springs sticking out with another thin mattress to cover it , but it was still very noticeable and therefore uncomfortable. The food was delicious.

Also a lot of bikers and bikers teams when they on traning we must wait about 15 min before all 4 lifts was available cuz they takes bikes with them to the room so imagine couple teams going on ride then 2 guys with bike pass in the lift 4 lifts 8 guys with bikes at once 1 2 floor round 100 bikers cuz in buffet you can see a lot of these groups

Lovely staff. Love accomadations. Gym & spa. Slightiy disapointed that our all inclusive deal did not include drinks even bottled water.

Ideal location, surplus service, comfortable and clean rooms. Good bar service and '' normal '' prices. The spa is fine. Next to promenade and beach. Out of season you find very good offers. Ideal for a couple. The "star" restaurant was closed but it is an option to consider.

Currently staying in Calpe for Easter weekend holidays and the weather hasn t been what I had thought it to be . To pass the time me and my partner thought we would go the the Hotel AR Diamante beach spa to pass the time . After staying in many 5 star hotels across the world I was very impressed by the level of curtesy by there staff . The hotel was immaculate and the pool facilities were amazing . Ill be looking forward to dinning with you next time We are passing .

A great hotel would definitely repeat and a special cervicio

The hotel and the luxury buffet. But the regular spa; some things did not work and I have not seen them cleaned even if it was something between shifts.

The best shows in a hotel, the costumes and variety are incredible, they seem plays for which to pay a ticket that likes large and especially small. The animation is up to par. The food a little above average. The attention of the staff is very nice. The spacious and modern facilities. We loved it.

They could not do enough for us and really were extremely accommodating.
Our accommodation was home from home, clean, spacious, extremely comfortable and relaxing. We had a truly wonderful trip and can t wait to come back in the future!
