This was our first time going here and we will be back next week! This is a must see when you come to south Florida, blew butterfly world out of the water. 60acres of beautiful birds, flowers and trees. Looking forward to our next visit, we were unable to attend the animal encounter this time because my 2 year old was ready for her nap but we will definitely check it out next time :)

I love a good stroll through Flamingo gardens in the day. However, this was the first time we have done at night for the christmas light show. This is a cost effective option to bring a little Christmas wonder to your small kids. My son is only 1 so being able to spend only $10 bucks for us and free for him was helpful. This is not Disney, the adults won't get too much out of it but for the babies and toddlers this is just right.

Flamingo Gardens was a lot larger than i thought it would be. A lot of the space is just open area with peacocks literally everywhere there is also the oldest house in Broward County located in there and guests are able to walk a little tour through it. There is also a team that runs about every 20-30 minutes that takes you to the end to see the different trees and vegetation. A lot of birds, 1 bear, Panthers flamingos, alligators and the cutest sea otters sliding down their slide! There is also a show which they bring out about 3 animals and talk about them but I suggest to get there early if you want a seat on a weekend. I would suggest visiting in the colder months right when it opens so that it's not so hot. Also maybe even in September because they have a special $7 deal that month in weekend. Which cant be beat! Not the zoo but perfect for a local family day. I really like the fact that it's a sanctuary. All the animals here have been rescued.

This is a great place for kids and adults. A huge variety of birds you can get up close to and feed from your hand. Also they have a bear...feel like they sort of bury that lede. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Feeding flamingos is something you ll want to add and check off the ol bucket list.

Nice place to visit if you love nature. It seems the place may need a little revamping, but from what I heard in the park from the caregivers they do great things for the animals. We didn t have enough time to visit everything but from what I have seen there is at least half a day worth of walking, and sightseeing.

If you are planning a field trip or an activity this is a great place to visit for children or those who are fascinated by nature. I've been here a couple of times, one was during a field trip for school and the other was with some friends. Admission is a bit expensive though, I think there are certain days where admission is free, but those days it will be very busy and a lot of people may block the exhibits. There are lots of exhibits to explore and it is a great learning opportunity as well.

I do Love this place. It takes my spirit to a calmer, peaceful place. It is clean and very well maintained. The vegetation is lush and healthy looking. The animals are curious and alert, so it's fun watching them...even feeding them. The food truck serves delicious food. People who work there, seem to enjoy doing their jobs. Great place to take visitors to.

All is so good.

All is so good.
Recomended: some animals need more space.

Everyone talk about this place being perfect for families with kids and all. I feel this is the kind of place a kid should never have to see while growing up. They don't have any respect for the imprisoned animals (yes, I consider this as a prison for them). In fact they have signs all around encouraging visitors to harass the animals. The animals here are abused to earn money. I would not go again and would recommend everyone to stay away. I know young kids enjoy seeing animals from up close and it's impractical to take them closer to real wildlife. But exposure to places like these can turn out to be a barrier to your child's respect and empathy towards the wild animals.

This place is wonderful but the lack of employees around I found a bit disturbing. Only because we witnessed so many children running around harassing the peacocks and other animals that are out in the open. We saw two kids in particular chasing the birds and trying to pull their feathers off of them! There should be employees walking around to deter this behavior since the parents clearly don't seem to care.

It's a nice place and you can see and even feed many birds. However, not that many flamingos and they are limited to only one pond. They also have some small zoo in addition to birds. However take into account that admission price isn't cheap.

I love Flamingo Gardens. It is so peaceful and serene. The membership is a great price so I bring my children often. There is lots of open space for them to walk freely with the peacocks and other birds. There are 2 play areas so they never get bored. The informative tram ride is an easy way to see everything. I definitely recommend this place to people od ALL ages.

Very well maintained and beautiful garden with hundreds of all kinds of birds and some animals. However if you go bring some cat food with you there are quite a few cats there that look malnourished.

I locked my keys in the car today and then found out my renewed policy didn't have roadside. There are at least 5 employees I can picture in my mind right now who all participated in trying to help me find a way to get in to my car without having to pay tons of money for a locksmith. Staff is incredible, makes me want to work or volunteer there. :) we enjoyed a full afternoon at flamingo gardens today, luckily I found out about my keys when we were ready to go home. Thank you to all!

Very nice place.. Quite and peaceful.. It's good as a family activities and for photographers. There is no good restaurant.. So make sure you have something to eat for your kids.. Also the ticket is (20$) for adults.

The gardens are old so the trees and plants are incredible. Lots of shade for walking to keep you cool. It's a very relaxing experience and seems to be a great place for families with children.

Perfect day outting while in the fort lauderdale area on vacation. Wonderful mix of wildlife and flowers/plants. Had a wonderful time. Spent about 3 hours here. The otters are freaking adorable.

Pricey, the guided tour is a joke. The speaker system is so old that the tour guide sounds like the teacher in Charlie Brown. Beautiful peacocks but to go looking for other animals isn't worth it, just go to the zoo.

Cute!!

A great day out. We were looking for something to do on an overcast day, this was perfect. Low key. Lots of intetesting plants and trees. The animals they keep not only represent Florida's fauna, but they are rescues, who would not be able to live in the wild or are injured. So for this reason, I applaud what they do. Not a nasty zoo, by any means. They release the animals they can back into the wild, or breed and release offspring to the wild. Was well worth the time and trip.

Beautiful grounds. Flowers, birds, and other wildlife of Florida. Set in an older area of Florida, the trees are well-established a there are many varities. The park has a tram that takes guests through the various types of flora and fauna while pointing out species of interest. Definitely a must see!!

This is truly one of my favourite places in th world. I love coming here anytime I m in Florida. Flamingo Garden is truly an International treasure with is exceptional animals and mammals and free running Peacocks, Iguanas, birds and cats. I love the mini rain forest set up and all the cool and exotic pants, trees, and of course animals.
It s perfect for any day and occasion like a family outing, a first date or when you feel happy or down to cheer you up.
Do yourself a favour and go to Flamingo Garden.

Gorgeous gardens, lovely gift shop, amazing animals. Flamingos are there but there are plenty of other things to see and do in the garden, including a walk-through aviary, fun and tranquil ferns gardens, and a white peacock!

Davie police canvased the area and identified a worker at Flamingo Gardens who resembled the composite sketch and characteristics of the genetic analysis, Leone said. Hugo Giron-Polanco, 38, consented to giving a DNA sample.

This evening the DNA came back as 1 in 400 billion that it is NOT the offender of the sexual battery, Leone said. The DNA sample identifies him as the offender.

Giron-Polanco, who is in the country illegally from El Salvador, is being detained on an immigration hold, authorities say.

Really love this place. Its definitely worth the $20 admission. I go for the 100 ft tall champion trees. There is so much more though, plants, flowers, trees animals and more. I could spend all day here. The only thing I do not like is that you really have to watch where you walk as there is animal poop everywhere. Besides that its great!
