This place is awesome. The staff here are kind and the room is perfect. Everything is up to date with a nice coffee machine and TV. The beds are super comfortable with a nice shower and bathroom in general. The restaurant was a bit slow but that seem like an anomaly. It such a fun place to stay and definitely recommend.

Was there on the 24th of July for afternoon tea with my elderly parents , the staff were lovely, and with whats going on at the moment with COVID 19 felt very comfortable, the standard of hygiene was 100 % . Have been there before and will be there again

One of the very best hotels in Dublin!

One of the very best hotels in Dublin!
If organising a conference check out their facilties.
If travelling for a break away and coming to Dublin, there is a lovely big park beside it to go walking with spectacular views over Dublin city and Killiney Bay.

When you arrive at Dublin airport the Aircoach which is a luxury coach bus will bring you straight to the hotel for about 70% less than the price of a taxi (it runs on the hour and every 30 mins during the summmer)
They have a beautiful swimming pool something I personally like whenever I stay away (that few hotels have in Dublin) and also a gym with all the best equipment....oh and a beauty salon I haven't tried yet!
The hotel is on the outskirts of the city in an area that is close to the sea (Killiney, Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire) .... if you are lucky enough you may see Bono of U2 around the local town of Dalkey or some other 'stars' of music and the big screen that live close by.

The restaurant is first class and if you want to chill out after a meal or during the day with the latest newspapers that are provided, they have a lovely big area close by reception (that has been recently renovated) to do just that.

The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber regularly use the facilities of this hotel and would strongly recommend it whether you are coming to Dublin to visit the city or host an event or conference

Wonderful night away from the city. Close enough to the DART station to walk (though it's all uphill). Our room had a wee balcony perfect to watch the ships come and go. Complimentary apples and chocolate when we arrived. We loved that there is a pool available, and we were late for breakfast but still were able to eat. Dinner in the dungeon was lovely. Will definitely be back!

Accommodation & Room very good. Location excellent. Breakfast very average and only lukewarm. Booked a package to include dinner only to be offered a 'set menu' with VERY limited options. It would be better practice to offer the full a la carte and clearly explain supplements. Offering a set menu to those who booked a package supporting an hotel is poor judgement when you consider that it is more beneficial to the hotel for the guest to wine and dine in the hotel rather than spend their money elsewhere. Satisfied with overall experience but expected more from certain staff members and services offered by the hotel.

Excellent facilities staff so caring and efficient only wished I wasn t unwell so could have enjoyed the stay more.
Restaurant service good and food good sized but not huge so very manageable to eat a dessert after a main course and starter

Staying in this hotel is an absolute delight . We attended a funeral reception and stayed for the whole weekend . Comfortable luxury rooms with and wonderful decor throughout . the two bars are both good fun and the staffs customer service was excellent . Had a lovely overnight stay. Room was spacious and comfortable with nice view. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent in Mapas restaurant and in the library bar. Wished we were staying a second night. Would definitely go back.

The facility and room were very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very good food at the restaurant. There reason for the 4 is that the WiFi was very spotty and dropped the connection, then you could not reconnect because it thought you were already connected. I would recommend this place if you're looking for more of a hotel experience in a castle feeling building.

Nice hotel near the sea with a short walk to the seaside cliffs with amazing views of the Wicklow mountains. It's quite a way from Dublin but a short 15 minute walk to Dalke for shopping and eating.

We go here with my granny for Christmas every year. The food is always excellent. On Christmas Day the Christmas dinner is spectacular! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owner of the hotel is around every year to welcome people. The atmosphere around Christmas is very good. The rooms are comfortable and seem to be undergoing upgrades, getting nicer each year.

This beautiful castle hotel is set in a magnificent area of Dublin, seashore near by in Dalkey. Mature gardens the imposing building attracts the eye towards its structure of turrets and thick wooden front door!
Unfortunately on the 30 April; service was not up to standard. In the reception bar area. I arrived with my Mum @ 4.30pm. Not having prebooked, we ordered afternoon tea. A table was set immediately by the reception desk in front of a 'live' cosy fire.(it was a very wet afternoon, we were delighted!) I asked the waitress for tea & coffee, she disappeared. Waiting nearly 15 minutes, I caught a passing waiter & asked for tea & coffee again. The first girl returned with settings; I told her the drinks were on the way.
Tea & coffee arrived, minus milk. Afternoon tea arrived, after another 30 mins, minus condiments of salt/pepper. This waiter brought them immediately to the table. Still no milk!! We started eating, after another 10 mins; I helped my self from a 'clearing' area by the till!!.
We visited the ladies which were beautifully adjourned with dry towels & cremes. The cubicle doors would not lock easily. It was quite a struggle in fact!!

Although this was supposed to be an enjoyable end ...

Although this was supposed to be an enjoyable end to our stay in Europe over a few weeks we were disappointed with several particular things. Our room smelled quite musty on entering and we had to open the balcony door, yet it never quite went away. Reception staff were cordial. However, it wasn t a warm welcome by any stretch. Check in however was fairly quick. We made a reservation for our dinner right then which was convenient. However at the restaurant we could hardly read the menus to which the waitress more or less said, Yes, it s just the way it is . We noticed several other couples who were quite a bit older also struggling to read them. My eyesight may not be quite what it was as a kid but it s not that bad. We were offered a wine menu, which never came to the table. Everntually the waiter from the bar wandered by so we just ordered beer. The food was good, though not quite as good as what I would have expected for the establishment. It took 20 minutes for the table to be cleared and 20 minutes later she came back to inquire about dessert. As dessert was to come with our dinner but we were already full, we asked if we could talk a walk and return in about half hour or so. The waitress responded with I m not sure about that. Let me think about it and then she vanished. At that point we waited another 20 minutes before we became quite frustrated and stopped her to say forget the dessert can we just have our bill so we can go. 10 minutes later we had to stop a waiter and insist we get the bill so we could go. Although we were likely noticeably displeased no one inquired about our dinner or service. Needless to say there was no tip whatsoever. On checkout the next morning we were told there was a mysterious $10 charge from our meal even though we paid for it the night before. When I expressed my disappointment in the meal and most especially the service it was suddenly just an error. Again there was no inquiry about my concerns.
Breakfast was good, the shower head in our bath was great and our bed was quite comfortable. However, we did not feel overly welcomed and were extremely disappointed in the experience with the staff. We stayed at 11 different places over the entire course of our trip and this was the most expensive of them all and by far the least impressive.

Clearly a gorgeous hotel but the real treasure is in the staff. This morning Rhiannon and her colleagues made my whole month just by giving our little group the most beautiful welcome and service. Thank you.

Went there with a colleague this morning for a meeting. Sat in the lobby /lounge area to do some work together. We weren't approached by a staff member for an hour and a half. There seem to be plenty of staff on hand however none of them seem interested in dealing with the customers. Awful place. Will not be back.

Excellent accommodation, good food, and friendly helpful staff. A really enjoyable four days in this beautiful hotel situated ideally near to the city of Dublin, and a number of attractive seaside towns.

The AirCoach goes between Dublin Airport and Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel every hour. So convenient! Dalkey and the DART to Dublin is a short walk away. Dalkey has the best collection of restaurants and pubs with live music every evening. The Cultural Center features a Medieval Castle and the ruins of a 10th century church. All this in a quaint small village. What a great place to stay. I've been going back for 5 years.

Ireland is amazing but the best experience by far has been with one very special employee of the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. Delia O'Malley is incredibly welcoming and gracious going above and beyond to make our stay personalized and memorable. She is absolutely fabulous!

Nice old hotel. Very traditional, with great restaurants and nice rooms. The only problem we have noticed is that some furniture is already so old they are damaged. Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing to complain about here. Ales top and as described and if you want to visit the Wicklow Mountain National Park the hotel is perfect.

A really great hotel with great staff. Just a couple of things that weren't perfect - no air conditioning in the rooms, patchy wifi and no food available in the bar/lounge after 6pm, but otherwise it was great.

Furnishings are a bit dated but room was spacious (2 double beds, love seat, chair, small round table, desk) also looked like Murphy bed in wall. View from our 4th floor room of the bay was amazing, in a cute area that would be fun to explore, we were too tired from driving on the tiny roads to even go out.

We were charged 200 euro charge as the hotel accused us of smoking in the room, both non smokers. Charge was taken prior to an email being sent, when we queried it the manager said housekeeping smelled smoke in the hall outside the room! Still waiting on the 200 euro refund. Get your room checked before you leave this hotel or stay in another hotel who doesn't wrongfully accuse it's guests.

Old hotel but comfortable lodging. Rooms in need of some updates. Bath seemed updated. Carpets, furniture a little worn. Great food at their restaurant. Breakfast buffet was so-so. Would stay again.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I had stayed there for one night in room 335 and it was not of a high standard for the price we had payed. First of all, the staff were nice. Our room was a good size but we had found that the floor was very untidy and we discovered the prior guest's money coins on the floor, under and behind the sofa in the room. The TV provided was smaller than we expected and we did not a lot of channels. During our stay the hotel pool was not open. We were not provided any notice at all of this and we were extremely upset and disappointed. When we had arrived in our room, there was no guest information booklet provided in the room therefore we had to ring reception. Our bath-tub was chipped in a number of places and it was quite mouldy. The kettle was extremely dirty and we were absolutely disgusted!! I would like to add that the mattress and cushions were very hard and comfortable. I did not think prior my stay that I would be overall rating this hotel 2/5
