Stayed here for one night on the 10th December 2020. They had a special offer which was a 3 Course Meal and breakfast, 189 for 2 people. It was birthday treat from my wife and we were given a free upgrade to a sea view room with balcony.

Staff and food was amazing. We had a cocktail in "The Library" before having our meal in Mapas Restaurant. Really enjoyed everything and would recommend. We will be back.

ABSOLUTELY CANNOT FATHOM OTHER POSITIVE REVIEWS OF THIS DELAPIDATED PROPERTY!? I checked out within an hour of check-in, losing one night's room rate because the hotel was just SO awful! Room hallways in disrepair, room door falling apart, security lock missing (unsafe), neighboring rooms slamming doors (could hear through walls), creepy artwork in room, room outlets falling out of wall (electrical hazard), outdated and semi-clean bathroom, something LIVING in the room drapes, etc... I could go on! Barely a ONE star property! Not the "castle" 4 star as advertised! ***I have pictures as proof of everything I stated here.

I had a few issue upon arrival. It seemed that only the minimum was being done. So much so, that the previous guests hair was clogging my bathroom sink. I had maintinence come and they unclogged it, but left the wod of hair in the sink. Classy, right? The coffee maker was broken and little things were missing. Like the hair dryer for my wife. Also, they refill the bottles of sparkling water with tap water. Cheap. We told staff before our arrival and when we checked in that this was the first part of our honeymoon. We were told after we complained about the sink that if we had mentioned that, normally they would upgrade our room. They did not.

On the positive side, when i told management about these issues, they were prompt to fix things. The manager sandra was very nice and helpful. On the second day of our stay, we came back to swan towels, fake rose petals on the bed, and actual sparkling water. They even put a bottle of champagne on ice for us. This was nice, but it would have been nicer upon check-in. It also kinda felt like they were sucking up because the first day was not good.

So my first day there was 2 stars at best and after a few emails with management, i had a 3 star experience my second day.

Ah have not enough words for this fantastic hotel . Just didn't get to stay long enough . It was beautiful. Family room was big enough for 5 . You got 1 Hour in pool which was long enough for everyone to get a chance . You where given slippers and dressing gown to wear to pool so not much people changing in dressing area . Just one fault it was very slippy in pool area . Food was beautiful and loved the dungeon. Staff was so friendly. Loved dalkey area .Definitely be back again

We had booked the overnight stay through the Agency, it had to be the icing on the cake of the honeymoon, one night at the castle seemed a magical thing in itself.
The park around was beautiful, the castle a little less, renovated on the outside like inside with motifs and purple and gray tones, a small room with dust that hung from the ceilings ... not the best, we thought clearly better from the photos. ..disappointment.

This hotel has great facilities and while it looks a bit faded in parts it is a pleasant place to stay. It has decent food and is well located for getting into Dublin, or even to the airport as the bus terminal is in the hotel car park.

Located close enough to Dublin for airport transfer, but far enough away so it's not exceptionally crowded. Awesome view from the room as its located on a large hill. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice. Hotel is literally a converted castle so it makes for quite the unique experience.

Great hotel!!! We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, along with the old world charm. Everything was top notch and was up to our expectations, we typically stay in 5 star hotels, and this was a very good hotel.

Absolutely wonderful rooms and experience. The wonderful person who checked us in went way out of her way to ensure we were able to still get dinner (even though we were really too late for dinner) and to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I would definitely stay again!

Excellent staff. Bedroom spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The location was perfect for visiting Dublin city and touring around Wicklow. Overall our experience was faultless. Looking forward to staying again.

The hotel is lovely. The service was great and they did a gluten free afternoon tea. The bread on the sandwiches was really bad. You can get some lovely gluten free breads now so this was a shame. The rest was amazing.

Definitely an impact hotel, good location. Courteous staff but their maximum they give in the mapas internal restaurant, large parking lot at the entrance and excellent connection with Dublin airport, in fact it is enough to take the 703 that is terminus inside the castle.

Rooms are clean, dated, small with few outlets, and no A/C, but I loved the shortbread cookies, tea, and the excellent and friendly service at the desk, bar, breakfast. I would stay here again unless it was the peak of summer.

Amazing
