We were assigned this hotel stay by a travel agency and I was really excited after checking out the website. Although the exterior really didn't have the cliche Castle feel I expected, I had high hopes. The staff was really nice, but the rooms were outdated and it smelled old. We even ate at the restaurant after seeing amazing things about it online, but it was really bland food. It looked amazing, but didn't have much flavor. For the price, I wish we would've just gotten a bed and breakfast instead

The lobby is welcoming, as are the staff, attentive, but not in your face. The room, very dated, and not by design. As with most hotels that have a lot of rooms, very hard to maintain and upkeep. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because of the staff, in the dungeon bar and in Mapas Restaurant.

What an amazing hotel in a wonderful location.

What an amazing hotel in a wonderful location.
I stayed here for a night with friends and had a fabulous night away. The staff were so friendly and helpful esp Chris who looked after us very well indeed.
The rooms are so big and spacious and the beds were very very comfy. Some with balconies looking over the sea.
It has a beautiful pool area.
The bar food was excellent and good value for money.
Overall we had a lovely evening here and I'm already planning another visit with my sisters.

Friendly staff and a great range on the menu for all tastes. Quality pricing and dietary adherence. The leisure centre can be finicky and don't expect a water slide. Go for the shepherds pie in the Dungeon Grill and local beverages

Disappointed in size of room, scratchy linens, bar/restaurant staff were not friendly or knowledgable. They had To run from bar to bar to pour a beer or make a drink. Breakfast was nice. Clean facilities. No one offered to bring bags in or take to room. Not a castle atmosphere? Loved Dalkey and the proximity.

We recently had our wedding reception with 25 people in the hotel after several changes of dates. The hotel were so accommodating with all our changes and we would like to thank in particular the wedding co-ordinator Chelsea and also , Sebastian, Lee & Alisha for all their professionalism and attention they gave us during our few days stay for the wedding. Our sincere thanks also to the chefs who gave us such wonderful food both at the wedding but also throughout our stay. Nothing at all was too much trouble and we are truly grateful to all the staff for a memorable and wonderful wedding despite all the changes. We cannot express our thanks enough to the hotel for everything and look forward to our return visit. Paul & Jean

Great family hotel in a wonderful location. Super comfortable beds in large modern rooms. Our room was too warm as it was over the heated pool so we had to sleep with the window open. Within walking distance of Dalkey Village and the spectacular Killiney hill. Dublin City easily accessible using the Dart train. A slight negative was that although the staff were friendly, a number of them seemed inexperienced and not as competent as you would expect. In general, a great place to stay.

We went for a late lunch at 4.15pm today (Saturday). It was 18 mins before someone took our order. We ordered a beer each and a burger and sandwich respectively. Our drinks arrived at 5pm (45 mins after sitting down) and the food arrived at 5.12pm (57 mins after sitting down). We noticed around us that people who had arrived after us had their drinks, tap water and then food brought to them before we did. The food was fine, just average, but the bill came to 35 which was a lot for basic fare.

About this place. I did not get to tour it must but one thing I like we're the fresh flowers and the way the ladies room was nicely planned. It leaves a lot of anticipation about what to expect. I'm most definitely going back to explore. Wanna come?

My daughter and I stayed here overnight August/2018. When we arrived there was problem with the checking in system and we had to wait while it reloaded. The young lady at reception (Andrea) was outstanding during this inconvenience and remained pleasant, calm, and very professional. We were allocated a beautiful room and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea, the staff are friendly and helpful. The decor in the hotel is tasteful, opulent and clean, as is the Spa area. Finally, the breakfast was delicious and we will definitely stay here again - thank you.

Great place to rest for the weekend. Very well built and insulated from noise; very hot Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Excellent food and service as a whole. Bus service to airport and very close to city centre.

The hotel was great, the breakfast had plenty of variety and the food in the restaurants was very nice. The hotel is dated in places and showing some signs of age however that just adds to the charm.

The location is 25 minutes from Dublin, however Dalkey which is 15 minutes walk away has a Dart service so you can leave the car behind and enjoy a leisurely trip in on the train.

The staff were very attentive and always willing to help.

My family and I have had an excellent stay at this wonderful hotel. The Mapas restaurant was really good and the T bone steak I had was cooked to perfection. I have to give a special mention to Parry, the cocktail bar barman, what a guy, a credit to the hotel. His cocktails are fantastic and the way he included our 10 year old son when mixing mocktails was brilliant. Tropical explosion was the mocktail they created together and it was superb. Ask for one and see if he remembers the recipe haha.

Great location and friendly staff. We had a car but used the great train service from the town to Dublin city centre. Large rooms with everything you need. This was a hidden gem on our 28 day European vacation. We stayed four nights but could of spent a week. We will definitely return.

Perfect chill out 4 nights stay. Food and service in hotel was very good, even spent some time in the hotel bar each evening, which for me, a non drinker , indicates how relaxed and friendly the bar was.

Fitzpatricks Killiney feels a world away from the city and with a swimming pool, lovely grounds, an outdoor terrace, and a location right next to stunning Killiney Hill and Victoria Park, it's 'more than a feeling'. For 'Gluten Free' people, they've got a dedicated menu which is great, but for posh diners you might find the fayre a little on the basic side. It's a large, comfortable four star hotel, but it is not modern, and indeed that may be its charm. Wheelchair access was somewhat surprisingly not obvious, but there did seem to be secondary ramps about the place, and general access if you don't drive may be an issue as the only public transport is a once-hourly bus from Dun Laoghaire via Dalkey. That said, it's a lovely stroll to either village, and the Aircoach goes straight from the airport to the hotel, so you could be very happy here in an Ireland that is harder to find nowadays with everything elsewhere having been stripped back so much and reimagined.

The staff were very helpful and food was good. We were delighted to get a disabled room which had an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed. The hair salon too was a good experience for my wife. However the number of staircases was difficult for my wife.

From the moment we entered the restaurant tonight to our final adieu, we were greeted with friendly, efficient staff who were attentive but not invasive with amazing food and ambiance Fitzparicks Castle has it all! Thank you so much for a memorable evening.

Perfect area for a visit. Quiet and not far from downtown Dalkey, Killiney, or Dublin. We had an apartment which made it so easy to feel right at home. A short walk to Killiney park where you can see both Killiney and Dalkey from above.
