Me and my Husband stayed here for our Honeymoon. It was so nice! We got a third story room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the bay and Dalkey. The staff were so very helpful and friendly with all of our questions. We arrived earlier than expected, and they were so accommodating to get our room ready earlier than they even needed too. Which we totally appreciated since we were so jet lagged! We had even purchased the wrong converter for the outlets (oops) and they let us borrow one of theirs!

The hotel has a vintage feel to it, I love how everything is very ornate and the bar is such a great place to lounge and it seems that each room is different and unique. There was no air conditioning in the room, but all you need to do is open a window and you'll feel fine.

The breakfast is very delicious and they have a ton of options from hot breakfast and even cereal. We did get breakfast delivered to our room one morning and it was really fun!

I really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints, thank you to the wonderful Fitzpatrick staff for helping make our honeymoon spectacular!

Really enjoyed our night away, the staff were very attentive without being overly in your face. Our meal was very nice and we enjoyed a few cocktails in the Library Bar after. Would recommend it for a night or two away, ideal for both couple's and families

The room was a nice size and very clean. The staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant had really great food too! The location is a bit outside of Dublin, but it was about a 15 minute walk to the nearest DART along with local shopping and pubs (go to Finnegan's!). Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Nice but in desperate need of modernisation. There was water dripping on our heads coming from the air vents in the restaurant area. Cocktail menu is awful. The seats look like something out of Oxfam. BUT... the food was nice.

Fitzpatricks offers warm Irish hospitality which gives it the feel of a country hotel yet it sits in a beautiful spot in South Dublin. Great for afternoon tea in their warm and friendly lounge, the dungeon bar is also worth a visit for a quiet drink with some very good live music.

Honestly, I could give 5 stars but I ordered a bottle of wine as a surprise and when I joined the hotel, the bottle wasn't into the bedroom, then I called to the reception and they brought it but it was warm, and then I had to ring again and ask for ice.

When we arrived the pool was closed for some reason. We had chosen this hotel specifically for pool facility. The hotel offered us a comp breakfast, which was already included in our rate. Bath tub had clumps of hair in it. Hotel itself, was a disappointing, felt like a tourist trap, but area and restaurants were great. Would not go back.

I cannot give this hotel a high rating. Just stayed here 3 days ago and the hotel is just as others have described. The lobby looks great and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, giving us directions to the train to Dublin city centre and suggesting place to visit. The Dungeon bar staff were also helpful and eager to serve us.

The rooms are where this hotel falls short. The elevator creaks and groans on your way up to the room and the carpets and hallways are in need of some cleaning and TLC. The wall paper in our room was peeling at every seem, the beds were hard, there were cracks in the ceiling, stains in the carpet, rusty fixtures in the bathroom, mould on the sloppy caulking job around the tub, etc. We chatted with some other guests at the hotel bar and they reported the same state of disrepair in their room as well. The worst part was waking up the next day to bite marks all over my body. That's right...bed bugs! They got me everywhere, which means there must be a few of them. Definitely not what you want on the long flight home the next day.

I won't be staying here again.

Food good. Service not good at all. One Waitress was very good (an Irish girl with glasses) - the rest were wandering around like zombies trying not to catch your eye. The table was full of someone else's meal and was not cleared for at the very least ten minutes.

How cool is it when you get to stay in a legit Irish castle?! I can answer: VERY COOL! Really enjoyed our stay at Fitzpatrick Castle. We had just flown into Ireland and this was our first stop, and right off the bat we knew our trip was going to be a blessing and a treat. We were warmly welcomed, served delicious tea and coffee, and shown to our very comfortable rooms. The grounds of the castle were beautiful, and it was right up the road from Delky, a fun Irish town that is perfect for walking and meeting the friendly Irish folk.

As a family we loved our time at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. The friendly staff were all extremely helpful, polite and gave us a warm welcome. A good friend had recommended the hotel to us and we'll be sure to recommend it to others. Hope to stay again. Thanks

Excellent hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone. Wonderful staff, incredible rooms and great restaurants on the premises that never leave you unsatisfied. It's also only a short walk to Dalkey, and the DART station, so it's also convenient for those on foot.

June 2016 - business trip with Irish clients.
What used to be a very welcoming place has been neglected in fabric and needs a good refurbishment. The lack of air conditioning in the bed rooms is obvious, as the rooms are stuffy at all times. The bedroom decor is outdated and feels 'past it'. Unfortunately the preponderance of non-Irish staff is reducing the helpful feeling that you normally get in Ireland. The food and service are generally good (with the exception of some Reception staff) but having been here 5 years running on business with clients, I think this will be the last time.

Charming hotel. The room was lovely with a four poster bed. Besides the normal room tea set up, there was a water set up with wine glasses on the table. The bathroom was old fashioned but charming. We only tried one of the restaurants but the food was good and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.
