First World Hotel at Genting Resort World Reviews

Disappointed, not to expect much for the price i paid but the hotel is run by resort world, which is really disappointing for this kind of quality. Lets start with the slow and buggy UI used at the express checkout which i had to try many times to check in, a kind staff came over to help he was friendly but didn't know much English. I booked three rooms online and to check in you have to complete the check in for each room individually, which took a painstaking amount of time.The room floor was dusty, after showering your wet feet will pick up the dust from the ground( there is no bedroom slippers) the bath room layout and design is under utilising the space separating the showering room and bath room and sink. The disgusting yellow door that doesn't lock but only cover the shower area, there is no place to hang or place your towel or clothes while showering which means you have to exit the shower room while completely drenched and naked to get your clothes which means 1) you are cold 2) your other guest can see you. The were very noisy neighbours and yes we cannot close the windows because there was only a fan, my suggestion would be to add sound absorbing foam to the outside walls to absorb and minimise this noise.
On the second day, i came back and the room smelled like someone smoked in it. In the morning at 7 plus the cleaner came and rang the doorbell which woke me up, i asked him what he wanted but he didn't understand english and walked away. I went to ask him why he knock and he only speaks melayu so i brought him to my room whereby my grandmother knew the lingo. He said he wanted to ask if we were extending our stay so he knew to clean the room or not. But who the hell rings the doorbell at 7 in the fricking morning to ask if we want to extend our stay? If we wanted to we would go down to the concierge to do it ourselves.

Got the old tower 1, on 8th floor. Since booking with Agoda, the room requested for large bed isn't available as 1st come 1st serve basis. Paid extra one time fee of rm5 for having the mountain view.. Room is ok, no aircond needed as the weather is pretty cold at night, even the fan we did not turn on. Hot water functioning in room, nothing much to complain, hot water for making beverage available around hallway, and ironing room too. During check in process, they have implemented many self check in kiosk around lobby area, if check in at counter would imposed rm15 for the service. They improved a lot. Wlaking distance from FWH to Skyavenue Mall just 2 minutes away. Very convenience hotel around Genting.

For the stay at first world on 11/Oct ( tower 3,room number 10870). The room is ok. Only thing was the noise from opposite block 9 floor, where the auxiliary plant room are, the pumps and other equipment operate none stop. We can not sleep the whole night. I hope Genting Malaysia Mangament can do something by installing noise reduction panel to the windows or complete brickwall the window and add in fresh air duct to provide fresh air into the auxiliary plant room. This will reduce the noise transmit to outside.

Resort's Room is spacious. But very seldom i can have the privilege to get. Usually i was given First World and the room is really small.

Basic room facility. V dirty floor. And lift not enough to serve all guest during check-in and check-out time.

Facilities are getting bad. Room so smaller. Need to be improve.

They could be owning the title of "The world most hotel room" Hotel but counter service is bad, a lot of automated machine to make checking in fast but nothing compare to checking in with a human being, took the good experience away. We used counter to check in but suppose to have a paper receipts of information printed out from machine but nothing out from our machine, due to inexperience, we forgot to copy down our room number, the machine doesn't allow us to check our detail so end up queuing a good 45 mins at the counter to find out... Bad bad experience.

The room is reasonable, again nothing special, the views from window is another guests room... Facilities is really a bare minimal.

Will probably choose another hotel for our next visit.

This is on of the few places I stay when I was young.. And the place is rumoured....u know with those... But still if u are here for relax... I am sure it is going to be a great relaxation.

The new tower three has a really perfect view! And it has WiFi access! Room service was on time

It was a pleasant stay keep up the good work just wish that it would be great idea to put a mirror next to the table as many people would not want to be irritated by going to the toilet for the mirror.

The check in process took 2 hours. OmG.. Queuing for 2 hours n when is my turn the reception don't even know what my packages of stay I bought keep insisting NO dinner is included in my package. Very dissapointed with the service. Management should look into it before selling their package to guests and they need to improve their check in process whereby they need to have different counter for guests whom have fully paid n just assign rooms for them with packages n dinner voucher

For low price and level of service on par with price

One of the world's largest hotel. Very affordable, cheap hotel but rooms are way too small and crowded. Good for budget travellers

Huge n long term renovation project is goin Genting will be a fun place in near future

Very long time for check in. Too us 3 hours to check in. Place is very vibrant otherwise. Rooms very very small. No amenities in room. Better stay in some other hotel and enjoy in casino and other places in this hotel. Lots of other hotels inter collected with this one to stay in. Rooms not even worth Rs. 1500.

Free room, can't complain much. But started charging parking since Jan18 which is additional cost to pay for.

It is a self service hotel, nothing extraordinary about it but what around it is most interesting.

It offers bouquet of things to do for each and every age group.

Indoor - Outdoor amusement park, thrilling rides, number of restaurants offering world cuisine under one roof, shows by world renounced artists at auditorium, world class casinos which are open every time and so many other things.

Its almost impossible to do everything in a single day. Its better to stay for a night at Genting and explore all that it has to offer.

Great view, amenities and restaurants to choose from. Loved the burger and lobster outlet in RWS Genting. The Casinos are bring lots of excitement to everyone

Same as always. Definitely not luxurious. Over crowded. Tower 1 and 2 needs to be updated.

Stayed in Room 9704, definitely this room was not "clean". I wasn't able to sleep the whole night due to the supernatural "thing". Believe it or not, "someone" held my legs the whole night. And in the end I had to sleep in car around 1am-4am and checked out immediately after 5:30am. Please do not provide any of this room to guests if there was really something there.

We stayed 2 nights in a Y5 Deluxe room at Tower 3, which is close to Sky Avenue. But to everywhere else it's quite far. The room is clean, but very small. The bathroom is unnecessarily big. It has friendly staff and good wifi though.

Enjoy my holidays there, but little disappointed unable to karaoke at Be a Star..

Best Hotel to stay in Genting. FYI, only can early check in from 9am. My bus arrived at 4am and we had nowhere to go. Wanted to pay extra to check in early but could only do that from 9am according to the receptionist.

Floor carpet cleanliness need to improve, it is smelling...

Pillow and blanket was very dirty , never change, I walk from car park to tower 3 trying to check in using I-kiosk but it s only have 2 and it s out of service,there no any customer service on duty at tower 3 neither

Self service check in kiosk is good, room is not that great but acceptable.

Hair dryer not functioning, quickly called the helpdesk and they offered to change room without hassle.

Standard and clean accomodation in Genting for a resonable price. Sound sleeping and relaxing moments assured. Consider the fact you spend most of your waking hours outside exploring the real Genting Highlands. Won't bother about refrigerator, TV and laundry, right?

love the hotel. It is new with good views all round. The swimming pool is nice. My children really enjoyed it since the water is warm and it opens until 10pm. Car Parking is plentiful and free. We will definitely return.
