Sat by the shoes with my two granddaughters looking at shoes. Wanted to try some. 3 or 4 sales girls were at the register chatting. Only a couple people in the whole store. Never offered any help. One even came up to me and asked if I was trying on the shoes that were left on the floor behind me by another customer who never received any help either. After she retrieved the shoes behind me on the floor she walked away never asking me if we wanted help or to try on any shoes. A missed opportunity for sure.

Clarifying my earlier review about the customer service and return policy. I was impressed that the owner reached out and has worked through the issue with me. Although I have not yet gone back in with the item for store credit or exchange, I intend do so and am grateful for the personal service offered by this owner.
This place is honestly the worst. I went with a friend and we were completely ignored the entire time we were shopping. The staff is so stuck up and rude. Don't waste your time or your money here.
The hostess with the mostest. Thank you for all of the lovely information and for how thorough, kind and genuine you were. You did not have to take your time with me, but you did and you did it with a smile in your voice nonetheless.
April and the staff are so amazing. I love the personal attention and the clothes are the cutest on the West coast. This is our first stop in town and it continues to dazzle us.
April and her staff are top notch. Every time I come into the store I'm always greeted with kindness and a willingness to help. I'm usually shopping the expanse of women's clothing for my wife, but there is a great selection of men's clothing too. I've always had a great experience here and their selection is always changing and on trend. Thanks for helping me earn points with the lady Vanilla!
This place is awesome! I love to walk in and look at all of their stuff! However, a lot of their stuff is really overpriced. I think I ve only bought one thing from there before. Bend doesn t have a great selection of clothing stores so this is kind of the only option. I would give them five stars for their products but two stars for their pricing. A lot of the stuff, you can find online for half the price.
I'm really surprised no one has mentioned/complained about the return policy (or lack thereof). I purchased a dress for a wedding. I ended up not wearing the dress, and attempted to return it within a couple weeks. Although their "policy" is placed on a small sign by the register, it's unbelievable to me that their customer service is so poor as to disallow ANY and ALL returns. Never worn, doesn't matter. No in-store-credit. Pretty unbelievable this day in age, when Lulu is next door and has such an amazing reputation, greatly due to their excellent customer service in returns. The "we're local and would go broke if we allowed returns," makes no sense, seeing as how many local stores, which allow returns/exchanges, have been around far longer. This place stinks and I simply can't believe they wouldn't take back/exchange/give store credit for an item purchased so recently and never worn. Be prepared to put down a credit card and never get ANYTHING back, even if you decide you don't like it and have never worn it. Only place I've ever seen with such a horrible return policy. Good luck!
Men s fashion in Bend is hard to come by if you shop boutique or don t rely exclusively on alpine outerwear. Vanilla has always been a go-to for high-end streetwear and well constructed Urban Threads . With brands like Brixton, RVCA, Vans, etc. their display color schemes are inventive and well thought out. Predominantly a women s boutique, their Men s section offers options for Pacific Northwest fashion in a concise and effective way that gives Men a place to shop with their women or a solo venture for those that know what they want. The staff is nice, well dressed and attentive. The Mens section is smalll, comparatively, though their sale rack is an awesome source for off season clothing at an affordable price. My preferred shop in Bend Oregon.
Our clients and their families feel so loved and supported through their generous donations! Our recent client holiday celebration was a success because of Vanilla Urban Threads.
A great store! The styles and materials are curated so that you're definitely getting your money's worth for good quality fashion. The staff is super helpful and cheery, which I find great having worked in retail.
A big plus is that some of the brands they carry are sustainable and/or give portions of money to good causes, which makes me feel so much better about where I'm putting my money, especially when the prices are more than I would usually spend.
The aesthetic and color grouping of the interior is also top notch. Very pleasing to look at, and it's great for new color ideas for your wardrobe when you are shown the lovely potential of new color combos. I can tell there's a lot of good work put into it!
Customer service has improved immensely since a bad experience I had. I had never wanted to go back but with a lack of places to shop in bend and needing an outfit for an occasion I gave it another shot and it was a much better atmosphere so I am updating my review to 4 stars. Would be five but I still have that past experience.
If you want to feel like you're unpopular and in high school again...go here. The staff seemed very judgmental and stood around talking to eachother. Never asked me for help but asked the better dressed person next to me if they needed help. I dont understand this mentality at all, especially when you WORK in a retail store...not own it.
The products sold here are beautiful, yet overpriced. They sell out of season items that you can find discounted on Nordstrom Rack or Macy's. I've found exact items from Free People and other brands on clearance online, while they're asking full price at this store.
Also, the last time I visited, the ladies working behind the counter didn't smile or acknowledge me when I walked in the door, and there were maybe 4 other people browsing. Nobody asked to help me at all during my experience, or offered to start a fitting room when I had multiple things in my hands. I have worked 5+ years in both retail, and high end customer service, and I try to be understanding, however, they need to have some team training sessions.
the girls were super nice and helped me pick out the perfect jeans and even cut the bottoms of a pair of jeans that were too long. overall some of the best employees :)
I love how nice and pretty the staff is. They obviously got their stuff together, the men's section was organized by color patterns which made it so easy for me to find what I need since I only wear clothing that's black, dark blue, or dark grey. Yay!
Truly one of my favorite small businesses in town! One of the only places you are able to find good quality brands, the owner April and her employees are beyond helpful everytime I go in!
