The environment is what makes this place so special. My wife and I just wanted to have some wine and enjoy the outdoor seating. But ended up ordering some appetizers and it was such a nice evening, with live music and all. Just a great date night.

My wife and I are from Wheaton and decided to take a field trip to Geneva last weekend. After walking around enjoying the day we were attracted to the appearance and live music coming from Fiora's.

The patio seemed very full, but the hostess informed us that a table had just left and they were able to squeeze us in immediately as it was later in the evening. We had already eaten dinner, so we both ordered port and asked for a dessert menu. The server brought us an excellent 15 year old tawny and suggested the house favorite dessert, the bananas foster bread pudding. Not the type to pass up a strong recommendation, we accepted, and also Chocolate Espresso Pots de Creme.

The ambiance while we waited for dessert was one of the nicest I've experience in quite a while, not on top of the action of the street but with a full view of everything. The guitarist/singer was talented and the crowd lively but not too loud.

Dessert came soon after and was superb. Indeed the Bananas foster was better than anything I've had recently and the Pots de Creme is a must for anyone who likes chocolate. We plan on returning to Fiora's very soon for a full meal based on our experience, but for now can whole-heartedly call it a fine Geneva experience. Thank you!

Our party of four had a terrific dining experience at Fiora's on Friday, January 23rd. First of all, Fiora's is located in a beautiful old building and the interior decor is very warm and comfortable. The porch room in which we were seated had a lovely view of downtown Geneva, all lit up and snowy. The room had floor to ceiling windows on three sides so wherever you sat there was a great view. The room was warm and cozy and without a draft.

Our waitress was friendly and arrived promptly at our table to take our drink order and let us know the specials for the evening. After our drinks arrived, we went ahead and placed our dinner order: Shellfish Cioppino, Supreme Roasted Chicken, and two orders of Boneless Slow Roasted Short Ribs of Beef (substituting noodles for Fiora's excellent mashed potatoes).

As a starter I had a salad consisting of roasted beets, apples, pecans and greens with a red wine vinaigrette. The beef short rib dinner I ate was delicious: the beef was very tender and was covered with a mushroom gravy. It was accompanied by roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. I am now officially considered a member of the clean plate club!

After dinner we moved to the bar/lounge to listen to singer/acoustic guitar player, Steve Bores, who was excellent. We had after dinner drinks and ordered dessert. I chose the vanilla gelato because I was still full from dinner, but I managed to score a taste or two of Fiora's fabulous Bananas Foster Bread Pudding from one of my friends!

I look forward to going back to Fiora's for dinner very soon and I definitely recommend it.

Staff is very friendly. Because of COVID, our meal was served in takeout containers. I get that, but we have eaten in other restaurants in Illinois during the crisis that have used regular dinnerware. It's a little hard to spend $30 per entree and eat with cardboard and plastic. Certainly proves how important presentation is! That being said, the food was good. When we made our reservation, we were asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We were told "Happy Anniversary" by the staff, which was nice. Many restaurants will give you a tiny glass of sparkling wine or a little dessert gratis, but we were offered nothing.
We will return in the future, but just for a casual lunch. We live about 60 miles away, so for special occasions will try elsewhere.

Came here with a party of 10 for Christmas and we ate in the wine cellar. Super cool ambiance and great service. My steak was awesome as well. Afterwards, we headed upstairs and listened to the live music by the bar for a night cap. Would definitely recommend.

Went here on a Saturday night and had one of the best dinners of my life. Our waiter Chris was beyond belief accommodating. Was extremely knowledgeable about all food and drinks. We never felt rushed but at the same time the waiter was always available. Try the steak Oscar it is worth every penny. Fine dining at its best!

Came here for a work dinner and was quite pleased. They had a small selection menu for my group due to our size but Kathy, our server, was incredibly helpful. I'm vegan and so couldn't choose one of the options on the short menu so she arranged to get something off the regular menu prepped for me. Had the impossible burger, which was very good. Kathy was very friendly and professional for my work group and it was a very fun evening. Would definitely recommend.

I was there with a friend on Wednesday. We had a wonderful lunch. She said her crab cakes were delicious! I had the Waldorf Chicken Salad. The salad was great and the lime dressing was awesome! I just realized after looking at their website tonight that the restaurant is only open from 11:00 to 2:00 for lunch. I had had some health issues and we hadn't seen each other in a while and the staff never rushed us. I apologize to them for staying as long as we did, but we surely appreciated their letting us stay! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

We've been visiting Geneva regularly lately, and after passing the beautiful yellow house many times, decided to make a night of it. Simply put, Fiora's is fantastic. We arrived early and were welcomed to get a drink in the bar, where we were pleasantly surprised to find a great guitar player singing and covering some of our favorites.

After a drink (maybe two) we were shown too our table, which turned out to be in an amazing front room lined on three sides by floor-to-ceiling windows and tiny white lights. My fiance and I were both quite transported. Then we were greeted by Leroy. This bear of a guy is a seasoned veteran of fine dining restaurants and pretty much took over from there. He recommended the Ahi Tuna appetizer to start along with a Rose to pair. Delicious. He insisted we take our time and relax, which was refreshing after having been rushed through more than a few nights at other restaurants. From there, Leroy led us into the San Francisco Ciopinno, Scallops ( which we shared) followed by the Pots de Creme Chocolate Mousse and a couple tawny ports to finish -- and he had us laughing all the way.

This was one of the most memorable restaurant experience we've had in several years and we're thankful to have discovered Fiora's. We will certainly be back.

We've eaten at Fiora's three times now and just recently had my first experience in what they call the "sun room." Glassed in on three sides and surrounded by small lights, the space created one of the best night-time ambiances I've had in a great while.

My wife and were celebrating a special occasion so we went all in on a bottle of Camus. The wine list is very well curated, however, with many great options on the 40-60 price range. We got started with our server Chris's recommendation of the black mussels, which have just a hint of saffron and were fantastic.

For entrees, I ordered the Duck Confit for the first time and was extremely pleased. This will likely be my entree of choice for the next several visits. My wife stuck with her standard, the slow-braised short rib, which we both agree is one of the best meals to be had in Chicagoland.

During dinner, we could hear live music coming from the bar area of the restaurant and asked Chris if there were seats. He graciously suggested we finish with our dessert in the bar area, and even took the time to set up a table for us before walking us over. The music and dessert (always bananas froster bread pudding) were a perfect finish to another great night. We look forward to our next visit.

Fiora's is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is chique yet inviting. And the food -- oh, the food. An incredible selection of entrees that have never disappointed. And the wine selection is equally incredible. Top that off with great service, especially if you happen to be lucky enough to have Leroy as your server. He's as entertaining as he is good at what he does. All in all, Fiora's offers an extremely pleasurable dining experience.

Under normal circumstances I would describe Fiora's as an elegant dining experience with quality food. My recent experience wasn't elegant and the food was not memorable. I'm not suggesting the food was bad just ordinary. What took me by surprise was that the food was served in plastic carryout containers on paper plates with plastic utensils. Sangria was served with no accompanying fruit and was no better than a bottle of Aldi white wine all served in plastic cups. To complete the experience guests are directed to portalets and not a bathroom with running water.

For this experience you pay premium pricing on the menu and must pay a $25 surcharge per table. The night would have been just as enjoyable at a rock-n-roll McDonalds for a fraction of the cost.

There are some positives, the service was good, the atmosphere pleasant and the live music was great. Now I know many restaurants are dealing with the fallout from Covid-19, but this dining experience was truly lacking, especially having ate at Preservation bread Co. last week where the food was served warm not wilted, on real plates, with real silverware. We finished off our evening at Kilwins where we used the washroom.

Beautiful place. Tough to get into on the weekends. We were able to get a table for mother's day, and it was wonderful. Abrieviated menu, but everything was delicious. We sat this the 'wine cellar' which was both a nice dining area and only sat 4 tables, so it was quiet. It's pricy, but no more than you might expect for a fancy dinner. Staff was personable and helpful.

Beautiful house-turned-restaurant, friendly waitstaff. I appreciated the many vegetarian options, like the mushroom croquettes, which were wonderful, as well as the butternut risotto. My friend had the steak with whipped potatoes and asparagus, and loved it. The live music in the adjacent room was so enjoyable. Will definitely return!

The absolute best all around!! Stepping into a realm of smiles from the get-go .....best bar attendees 5*****, to all wait staff and management are the best by far. Food is spectacular and we never leave hungry!! Special shoutouts go to Kathy, Nancy, Paul, Gino, Freddie!!

This is one of the best restaurants in the tri-city area. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable. The service is impeccable. Our table was served by LeRoy, whose attention to detail and his clever wit made the evening that much more enjoyable.

But let's not forget the food. Oh, the food! My favorite is the boneless short rib -- the perfect entree in the fall/winter seasons. And don't miss the garlic whipped potatoes which nicely complements the beef.

Finally, I recommend the Plungerhead Red Zinfandel. It goes well with the beef and was enjoyed by everyone at the table regardless of their entree choice.

We've been to Fiora's several times and they have always been A+. I highly recommend it.

Went here for a celebration lunch with colleagues. Really nice atmosphere inside and out. Crab cakes and the salad that came with were really good. Though we went during the day around lunchtime, we made reservations and by the way the outside dining area looked, reservations are recommend! Very nice place!

I have always loved Fiora's... the ambiance, the food and the wonderful wine selection. Last night was no exception except for 1 thing:
I have been eating "clean" for the past 3 months, so when I go out to eat, I examine what is on the menu and order according to what I can and want to put in my body.
We specifically asked our waiter if we could order the calamari appetizer saute'ed or grilled instead of fried as it was on the menu. (A lot of restaurants will do that for us). The waiter specifically told us that it is actually pan saute'ed and not fried and that it is the best calamari in the Fox Valley. So we ordered it. When we received it, it was absolutely fried with batter. We should have sent it back, but our waiter was so preoccupied with the table of 3 ladies next to us, that we couldn't get his attention - so my husband who isn't as particular as I am, started eating it.I had a couple of bites to see how it tasted. Although it had nice flavor, it was fried and it even tasted like it might have been frozen at one point.
The salmon that I ordered as an entree was delicious, it tasted fresh and had a lovely pomegranate sauce over the top and I would definitely order that again.
My husband had the short ribs and said that they were amazing.

I arrive at this excellent restaurant from time to time since I love the good mood that is exist in this place. The crew is very cordial and professional. The service is certainly quick. Not to mention, the food they serve is good. I ate there often and I was never disappointed. The cost is reasobable. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

We have been to this restaurant several times. While my non-vegan food was great, my vegan family members were dismayed that some menu listed vegan dishes contained non-vegan ingredients. The restaurant may want to research vegan requirements before adding a dish purportedly vegan.

The day. Several had Quiche and the crust was badly burnt. We were not offered compensation for this. Also the chairs were very hard and uncomfortable.

We've been coming to Fiora's ever since the restaurant opened have yet to have anything but a superb experience. The restaurant is separated into several different rooms (sun room, main dining room, wine cellar, lounge, etc) which all have a slightly unique character. We make a point to rotate each time we come and feel like we're dining in a new restaurant each time.

The menu has several of familiar and delicious dishes (amazing salmon and filets) that each have a signature twist, plus another selection of items that are less traditional for the suburbs (Winter Stew, Cioppino) There are also nightly specials that the chef puts a lot of creativity into.

Fiora's wine list is extensive with new wines rotating in frequently. The selection includes several high end bottles, but we've found no less than a dozen in the 40-50 range that are very impressive. They even have half-price bottles on Wednesdays.

Finally the staff; they've become like family and it's probably my favorite thing about the place. Leroy, Chris, Lindsay, Jim...all are beyond friendly and fun while still being professional and attentive. I can't say enough. You might just have to try Fiora's for yourself.

A great experience. The wine selection was excellent and reasonably priced. Their new private label red blend Fiora's Cuvee was fantastic. The short rib was tender and tasty, and the hallibut fish special with mango chutney was fantastic. The Bang Bang shrimp appetizer - it was to die for. Service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was just as their website says - elegant and relaxed. We'll be back. Thanks.

AVOID FIORA S DURING COVID! Owner paranoia (?) ruined our dining experience. First of all, Fiora s requires you to pay a fee when you make a reservation. Times are tough and this is fine dining so, ok.

HOWEVER, customers are not allowed inside the restaurant. My $30. Steak, and all menu items, were served with plastic utensils on cardboard plates. Water came in sweaty plastic bottles with no cups or glasses. Customers are required to stand in line to pay for ALL beverages separately from the outdoor bar. Finally...THE RESTROOMS ARE PORTA-JOHN S!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! With outdoor sinks.

We paid FULL PRICE for quality dining and it was like having a picnic at a State Park (which have indoor bathrooms!).

I am positive the wait staff would be safe from COVID-19 by simply wearing gloves and continuing to use REAL DISHES AND GLASSWARE and placing them in a sink of scalding soapy water when finished. Many bars and restaurants currently have their restrooms open to customers well as indoor access, real dishes and silverware and full service of food and beverages. Very disappointing.

If I went anything less than five stars I'd be lying to myself. I visited Fiora's for the first time during Geneva's Christmas walk after finding it here on Yelp, and what a Holiday scene. It's clear the location is naturally beautiful but, made up for the Holidays, it is one of the warmest, most enchanting spots I've ever had a meal.

We went though the whole menu from cheese, to appetizers, entrees and dessert, pairing wine by the glass each step of the way. The menu has suggested wines right next to each item, but our server led us to some his personal favorites which we tried and loved. Service was excellent...attentive but not too rushed and we even lingered a while after because there a live guitar drifting in from the bar. We've already planned to take friends to Fiora's this coming weekend and will put this restaurant on our regular circuit for the foreseeable future. Cheers and happy holidays.
