This was the most luxurious dining experience I ve ever had!! The igloo was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before we were seated. The food was amazing (presentation and taste)! We were offered several complimentary appetizers and deserts. The atmosphere was beautiful by the Georgetown waterfront. And the staff was so friendly and professional. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to indulge for a special occasion.

This place does an outstanding job both in regards to service and quality of food. Our server gave a terrific presentation and continued to provide excellent service alongside the team staff who did all the small things such as folding a napkin when I went to use the restroom. We got the San Giorgio appetizer which is a sample appetizer, the calamari and then the lobster ravioli and scoglio rissoto. The freshness and flavor was about as good as it gets. The price is high but on special occasions it certainly is worthwhile.

This restaurant deserves 1 or 2 Michelin Stars! Service was on top! Food was so tasty and delicious. So many amazing seafood options served in crazy ways. Good selection of white wines and the restaurant is so elegant in front of the water. 100% recommended!

Great waterfront restaurant in Georgetown. It's been several weeks so I can't remember specific hors d'oeuvres or entrees but the food was outstanding and the location sublime. Had a fabulous meal with friends that will put this restaurant on the Titan when we are in DC next year.
Great service too

Absolutely amazing, the food here was impeccable, so tasty and delicious, very filling, great price, great drinks, great ambiance, the wait staff was very very friendly everyone spoke to you and explained what you very eating and how best to eat it. They were absolutely doing a great job with social distancing and cleaning for the pandemic, everything was good from the appetizers to the entree and the palette cleansing sorbet. I will be back to sit in the igloo next time, see you soon.

I took my parents here to celebrate my moms birthday. We're from the Mediterranean region and are always looking for the freshest seafood place. I can say without a doubt that this is the best seafood I've had in DC. The fish, calamari and lobster were out of this world, it was like we were in Europe again. In addition the staff and ambiance was very lovely, they even gave my mom a birthday card at the end. Will be coming back again!

First time there. Warm greeting. Caring and experienced service. Sharing their ideas, sources and techniques (thank you Chef Bolling, you are a humble genius). Food outstanding. Presentations perfect. Wine list extensive, sommeliers friendly and knowledgable. Any questions?

Attentive staff, great food, good ambiance. I would have liked the grilled sea food sampler to be slightly less oily. I would have finished it at the restaurant instead of at home. More selection of the side dishes (contorni) would also be great. Thanks for the great service.

Wonderful, delicious food and service to match. We had two course that were both light and tasty, leaving us full, satisfied but not bloated. The salmon was cooked perfectly - absolutely melt in the mouth. Great selection of wine and beer. The staff were very attentive and generous - bringing us a desert and a glass of fizzy when they saw we were celebrating our recent engagement. They truly made it a wonderful evening and we will definitely be going back there when next in DC

After hearing great things about this place, I took my mom here for their Signature Brunch. I must say that it did not disappoint! The brunch comes with choices of drink, appetizer, main course, and dessert. Both the quantity and quality of food, combined with the overall ambience, made for a very pleasant meal (get a table by the window near the water if you can). I must also give a shout-out to our waiter Carlos for his excellent, standout service. While our meals only came with two desserts, he sent us all three on the menu! He even lent me a lint roller :)

The is the Hallmark of what dining in Georgetown is all about. The food is amazing, all seafood driven, delicate flavors with rich depth where it needs to be. The service is on point and even a Macallan M on the bar for that special dram. We had the burrata, linguini & clam, veal ragu with parpadelle, and filet of halibut with the tiramisu for dessert. Enjoyed a glass of rose at our table outside while the people passed us on the pier. Thier other restaurants Fiola and Casa Luca are also uniquely incredible with different expressions of Italian cuisine. Love this place.

I ate at Fiola Mare with 5 of my coworkers today and I was truly impressed. We got there at noon and the restaurant wasn't too busy which was nice since we got seated at a table with a great view of the water. All the staff was very nice and friendly, especially our server (Adam). The food was delicious and they have us all complimentary dessert! It's a little pricey but I don't mind paying more for great food and atmosphere. I had tuna tartare, gazpacho (which came with a plate of assorted breads), and the scallops. It was all really good but the scallops were my favorite. The dessert was also really good...it had olive oil cake and ice cream in it but I don't know the name since it was comped. I'll definitely be returning here in the future. P.S.- The faucets in the bathroom have a built in hand dryer...if that's not the coolest thing ever I don't know what is.

When your husband tries to make a romantic reservation in the middle of covid and asks for outside to protect his unborn child (6 months pregnant) and you get dressed up and wait over an hour to be seated it is not amusing. When explaining not that I needed to my obvious pregnant belly and hearing everyone has an exception older folks etc is appalling. Won t be back

Impeccably prepared seafood in an amazing setting. Everything perfect from start to finish, if you don't like raw seafood, this might not be the place for you.
The signature cocktail list was a little lacking which was a disappointment for my girlfriend who loves to drink from those lists.
I think the previous statement of expecting to spend at least $50 per person is a bit low.
Most of the main dishes are small, starting around $40 and you'll need to order sides.
Depending on how much you drink and if you like starter dishes, you should estimate closer to $100 to $150 per person. You could very easily spend over $500 here, on a date.
The ambiance is very laid back and it is obvious that most of the other guests do not view this restaurant as expensive or something special.

Top-notch service and wonderful surprises on our wedding anniversary. The appetizers were creative and flavorful. The main dish, a branzino with mussels and clams, was salty and unremarkable in terms of both flavor and texture. Too much salt and fat in the side dishes, making them too heavy for their purpose. I'd like to try the chef's other restaurant but will probably not return to this one.

Fiola Mare is an experience worth the money. Fantastic setting on the Potomac River at Washington Harbor in georgetown. Fresh, delicious seafood inventively prepared. Pricey for sure but it is unique.

A top-notch dining experience; from food to service, ambience to decor, Fiola Mare is a welcome change to the Waterfront. Each dish is perfectly described by the staff, wine tastings are available to "try before you buy", and the chef's creations provide new, well-balanced options for seafood. Do not miss any chance to enjoy it yourself. It made my birthday evening even more special. For those who require private dining, Fialo offers a 4 options, one with a bar, another boasting a chef's table; each private and yet not removed from the main dining area. I will become a frequenter of Fiola Mare.

This is one of the greatest restaurants I ve been to. When I first heard about this restaurant I expected it to be your average nice but not amazing place. However it cracked up to be much more. We had a wonderful waitress named Maureen who took us through each and every dish. This proved to be helpful and encourages us to make some excellent menu selections. The fish and the seafood was stellar. The desserts like the rest of the restaurant were highly underestimated by me. They were unique and their multitude (not too many) flavors gave this restaurant its final star. If you are in the area, a reservation to this establishment is recommended.

Went here for Brunch on Sunday, January 7 to celebrate my birthday! From the time I arrived until the moment we left it was an amazing experience. I had a salad and hubby had soup as appetizers. Both were delicious. Oh did I mention the champagne they gave us as soon as we were seated? The lobster mac and cheese was heavenly. The lobster was cooked perfect and the dish was light and airy yet filling. We had mimosas and they were delicious. The cinnamon bun prior to the meal was warm and melted in our mouths. After the main course we had dessert which was also out of this world. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who will go here for their birthday but you get a surprise and you will not be disappointed! The service was wonderful. Every single person that came to our table was awesome and our waiter had to be the best waiter we ever had the pleasure of meeting. We decided to make this a birthday tradition. I can not praise this place enough. Can not wait to go back!

This is a very late review but I have to thank the chef, waiter, busboys, and overall team staff. My brother had his engagement and it was absolutely phenomenal. All I can say is thank you and please keep filling joy in peoples through food/service.

This place is amazing food and service is top notch and not sure can be beat in the Georgetown area. I always get the frutti di mare, duck breast foie gras, any of their pastas and the Adriatic seafood brodetoo. Highly recommend this place if you plan on celebrating an important event and make sure to make reservations.

Best Calamari, and Pasta. They cooked in proper way. It was little bit salty, but still nice. For the service, the staffs made comfortable mood to make us to focus on the food. Kind staffs and nice foods. It is recommendable.

I ordered Calamari/Spaghetti. It was the best calamari I had in DC and I was very satisfied with the pasta. It's a little expensive and a little bit salty, but it's a place I want to go back to. The service was also very good, so I felt comfortable with the whole meal. If you like seafood, you should go.

Amazing food!
My wife and I took our teenaged granddaughter to The Capital Grille just before 3PM, after 4 strenuous hours of sightseeing on the Capital Mall. We could not have been more pleased or impressed.

I really love Fiola Mare. The food here is incredible and the service, ambiance, crowd, and location are unparalleled. I give it five stars because I truly had an incredible meal and a fantastic time. It's all about the details and they are superb at covering all bases. A little extra goes a long way and they've mastered the art of cuisine.

The service was great - just the right pace and right amount of attentiveness. Although we had reservations and it took them a bit of time to seat us, the hostess really made an effort to accommodate our large group despite how busy they were. It was understandable that some patrons decided to linger because it was after all a lovely summer evening when we dined. Our server was very cordial and paid attention to our individual needs despite being a large group of 9.

Location wise, I understand why Fiola Mare is a hot spot. It's right in front of the Georgetown waterfront and you get free access to the most breathtaking views, even at night. The interior is classy; gorgeous inside but still rustic, warm and inviting. Truly a cool restaurant space.

As for the food, it was such a delightful meal. My friends seemed to be in agreement about how delectable their own orders were. What I got to try were the lobster ravioli, under the sea, and donuts. All were flavorful and satisfying; cooked perfectly. The foie gras on Under the Sea was incredible and the entire dish was just a seafood delight, yummy to nth power.

This was my first time going, but I am certain I'll be back for so much more. The summer sun was in full force when I visited but I can't wait to see what chef Trabochi has in store this winter with a new season of produce. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! DC is very lucky to have Fiola Mare! Best restaurant in town.

For a truly high-end dining experience, I completely recommend Fiola Mare. This was a great date night escape for the two of us. Everything was on point from the design of the restaurant, the drinks, the food and the staff.

Another great spot in DC. On the. George Town water front we went for brunch and had a great meal. We ordered the seafood tower and I had the lobster ravioli. Both were phenomenal. This is one of my go to spots when I come to DC.
