Great seafood in a cool Georgetown waterfront venue! Can be a little pricey but we'll worth the money!

Great food, amazing Chef, excellent italian personel! We will come back soon!
Great dating or for a special occiasionwith tasty selections...although, not cheap or a ton of food for the steep prices.
I worked there so therefore I have a different opinion then diners.
Great View w Attentive Services! Average foods compared to other high end seafoods restaurants! Round up to 4 stars!
Ok, not great. Warm day in DC and it was too warm inside for dinner. Appetizers, salad, and pasta were best part. Entre ok (over priced). Service attentive.
The food was okay but hardly a good value. Probably fine if you don't have a budget.
Celebrated a friend's birthday with pretty view of river and delicious brunch. Burrata started was a treat with beets and also enjoyed sea food pasta. The staff made my friend feel special.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The service here is downright offensive! Why on earth anyone would rate this place any higher makes zero sense. The service and professionalism of this restaurant is that of an outdated McDonald's.
Came here the night I got engaged. The most amazing food and service. I called ahead and asked them to make it special and it was amazing, champagne, dessert, special menu. Kindest staff, all smiles and congratulations. What a night. What a restaurant (did I mention the amazing out of this world food?).
Very good experience. One Sunday in August without having booked we were very well received. It's very good, the service is neat, beautiful room and beautiful view of the water front
Great location, very nice menu. Service was excellent. Expensive,,,but worth it. Get the Lobster ravioli...so amazing.
Great service, great food, great views. What else can u ask for?
One of the best places we have visited, not only in Washington, but during our entire stay in the States. Professional, friendly service. Not for a moment did they make us feel that we are worse clients, even though we came in not only unofficial, but even touristic outfits.
The service fulfills even quite picky wishes and whims, despite the lack of them on the menu card.
As for the menu itself, seafood, fish and fruit dishes predominate. We didn't have a chance to test a large number of dishes, but what we tried was of the highest quality. The food is worth the price, and the prices are at a high level, but for Washington it is affordable - you can choose something in various price ranges.
The restaurant is tastefully furnished, clean, well-kept, air-conditioned, spacious with a very nice summer garden and separate rooms for private parties.
I would highly recommend.
P.S. When visiting, it is worth dressing a little better - for your own comfort.
This is an absolutely amazing seafood restaurant sitting right on the Potomac.the views from the outside seats, are absolutely terrific, there's usually a nice breeze keeping it nice and cool, in the food is just off-the-charts amazing. The only suggestion would be the offer the lobster roll in Connecticut style. The grilled calamari it's something that I've never had before, and it did not disappoint.
Excellent food excellent service.. would recommend to anyone visiting DC
Tasty, with an interesting flow, slightly expensive! It is a pity that the presence of a Russian-speaking waiter found out already.
Wonderful service, amazing food. Highly recommended.
Wow! What can I say but WOW again. In all my life and travels, I have never experienced a place like this. This place TOTALLY exceeded my expectations of fine dining experiences. The location, the service, the layout, and the ((food))...absolute Wow, Wow...WOW! Fiola Mare...I am giving you because you totally deserve them. Well done
Very nice riverfront restaurant, with beautiful views of the Potomac.
The flavors popped and complimented each other, layering one better after the other. The fish was fresh, deliciously smelling and an invitation to the palate. A most perfect gastronomic experience.
Good food and wine selection.... service was good and attentive
Fabulous! The water front dining offered a magnificent sunset view. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was beautifully plated and prepared. And the desserts scrumptious.
Always fantastic. Service, food and environment. Can't do much better for fresh seafood, craft drinks and a beautiful view of the Potomac and Kennedy center!
Incredible food which tasted as if it were caught that morning, and views also excellent. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for.
The tuna tartare was good but nothing to write home about, the octupus with squid ink fusilli however was mind blowing.
On a side note, I had a bit of plastic in my pasta and they apologised and comped it so 10/10 service.
Had initial issue with service but was addressed and fixed. Food was great.
Oh my goodness! I can't say enough good things! The service was excellent! The food was soooo good. I had the Red King Prawns .... and the Chef was so good to us! The frozen figs and yogurt dessert!!! I could eat it EVERYDAY!! The Tuna tartar was perfect! We had so many things brought to our table unexpectedly. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We'll definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, and food. Outstanding service from the bartenders.
Amazing seafood and great drinks! Had a great time here on Valentine s Day
Their cocktail game is strong. The food is luscious. Service and ambiance are top notch. I wish I lived in DC so I could go more often. Pricey but well worth it.
Tried the burrata, buccatini and branzino. All some of the best I've had
A must go in DC . The king crab spaguetti is out of this world.
I would recommend everyone to go to this restaurant, simply it was amazing, food was so delicious. If you like dessert please go there. Our waitress was amazing, she was very descriptive About each dish.
This place was super nice! My boyfriend and I came on a date here when we were in. The bread and salad went really well with the cheese. We actually had to ask for a little more bread because we had too much cheese to bread ratio. They brought more out for no charge. It was amazing! Very nice after eating the rich cheese.
Anyway, this was a very nice meal!
Terrible customer service. Aside from the main hostess, the overall staff & manager both were disrespectful and VERY rude to myself and the 2 people I came with. Didn t bother to try the food. Will not be coming back.
great food and amazing service when I went. However, I have heard from family that the servers can be a little arrogant and rude
Event in reserved private room. Great food, great views, and great service.
Beautiful plating. Gracious service. DELICIOUS food. Our 35 th anniversary and we got a glass of champagne and a dessert assortment. The croissants are things that people write about in poems. We got two to go. Everything was fresh and beautifully plated. You MUST visit if you like good food. I can't rave about the food and service enough.
We went there with my husband to celebrate our first official outing after the shutdown.
We were seated in the upper outside section overlooking the water. Honestly, this could not have been a more perfect meal. The weather wasn't too hot. The table was big and the seating comfortable. The outdoor view was amazing yet we weren't right next to the pedestrians.
Every bite is like a flavor bomb. Incredible. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. Everything was stellar. Even the simple black coffee at the end was delicious. It's a real dining experience and well worth the trip and the price.
The service was spectacular (and in terms of the covid concerns everything is clean and spotless and distanced).
Thank you Fiola team! You made us feel welcome, and made this very special.
Fiola Mare is such a beautiful restaurant! It s right on the waterfront and there are big picture windows so everyone can enjoy the view. There is so much natural light and the decor is beautiful. The food and service are really good too. It s a great to place to go for a special occasion, and the prices are reasonable for the quality.
Had a wonderful anniversary night with Maly as our Captain. Thanks for the great time!
The best waterfront option for brunch and dinner but the service during the many times we have been was not great. We keep going back for the ambiance and the great food.
A top notch dining experience with exceptional staff, cuisine, and location. I recommend reservations as it is usually busy but certainly worth the wait.
The best customer service and food !! Highly recommend!
Very good food but pricy. Evening valet parking in $16.
Rare find in DC - location, good, atmosphere - all exceptional!
On today, October 30, 2020, my boyfriend and I were racially profiled at the restaurant. We spent well over 150 dollars on our meals. We had ordered our meals to go, however due to the heavy traffic that we experienced and the traffic that we would face on our way back home (rush hour). For context, we drove 45 minutes. My boyfriend and I patiently explained our situation and the two hostesses, who provided us with seating in a private area of the restaurant (likely because we were underdressed which is fine). For additional context, it was about 40 something degrees and we were dressed in sweatpants and layered clothing. About 10 minutes after being seated, we were asked to leave with no explanation. When we questioned the staff, we were told that the restaurant doesn t do that. We requested to speak to the owner of the establishment a woman who we ve met on MULTIPLE occasions and she turned us away. We feel that she turned us away because of the color of our skin, period. I love the food here but it s 2020 and a change must be done.
The food is good but it's pretty expensive. That brings it down to a 4 because nothing justifies it.
Food was delicious and presented beautifully. This is a special occasion place ...pricey, but for a special occasion, price is not that important!
They were wonderful for my birthday. The server and management treated me like a star. There outdoor seating is very picturesque and they were careful and clean during this pandemic situation. Food was well flavored and beautiful.
Celebrating the birthdays of a great friend, the food between pasta Del Mar food and a combination with meat, is fine
This place was incredible. Our server, Storm, was very accommodating, quick, personable, and enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. The food was excellent, especially the desserts. 5/5 would describe my experience at Fiola.
Excellent food it's electrifying and customer service is empecable. Prices are on the high side but it is the Georgetown section of DC.
Absolutely delicious food. Excellent staff. Beautiful ambience. Boozy cocktails just like I like em.
Epic lunch. Unbelievable food service and atmosphere. Will go again and again.
Good place with good service, but what's a seafood restaurant near Maryland without crabcakes on the menu. Tue Halibut was great. Branzino was also pretty good.
The food is amazing and very fresh. The manager is always very nice and the prices are reasonable.
Delicious food. The Calamari was great. A little over priced.
Our experience fell woefully short of the reviews! Three of the four in our party got food poisoning shortly after we left the restaurant. We called to alert the management, but they did not have the decency to return our call. Diners beware!
Ordered the grilled scallops at $10/scallop - a la carte. No different than any other scallop I've eaten. Beware, they do not open the bottle of wine in front of you. Overall, it was okay.
Absolutely the best meal and crafted drinks in DC.
My favorite are crafted drinks.
Birthday celebrations continue! Last night, I came here with a few friends to continue my birthday shenanigans. Although both the indoor bars were full, we were able to snag a table on the boardwalk with a great view of the Potomac River, Teddy Roosevelt Island, and JFK Center.
I opted for one of their featured cocktails, the Mayflower ($16). It's rose infused gin with peach puree, Cointreau, lemon juice, lavender syrup, and peach bitters. A very nice, slightly sweet cocktail. Perfect for the summer.
We shared a dozen Chunu (Smith Island, VA) and Kusshi oysters (Vancouver Island, Canada). Half dozen oysters are $18 and a full dozen is $36. I preferred the Kusshi oysters because they have a cleaner and mildly sweet taste. The BF and I shared the squid ink campanelle ($32) and a side of wilted spinach ($10).
The squid ink campanelle has octopus ragu, Manila clams, red onion wild oregano, pickled fresno chiles, and grated bottarga. The staff thoughtfully split our dish for us before bringing it to the table. It's a delicious pasta dish. The chiles bring out a hint of spiciness. I highly recommend to order any of their pasta dishes, as that is what the Fiola team excels at. They have half portion and gluten-free pasta available too.
A wonderful place for a happy hour or night out on the town. I didn't expect any less from Fiola Mare. Food, drinks, and service are all on point.
All stars are for the location of this restaurant which is by the river
I have been here about 3 years ago and still remembering the great experience I had! The dishes were really delicious with excellent service and great view by the Potomac. A place that I d always recommend :)
Great meal and great locale make for a great outing.
I ve been wanting to dine @ Fiola Mare for years! I was so disappointed by my dining experience. The food was underwhelming and way overly-priced for dishes that lack tremendously in their depth-of-flavor. The lobster ravioli, they re signature dish was not tasty and you pay $55 for TWO ravioli!! Seriously .
Been here for brunch twice. Delicious food and great service. Very nice view of the Potomac.
Celebrated my anniversary and the place was amazing. Roxy was very patient explaining the menu and definetely made my stay the best. I recommend this place the food was the best I ve ever had.
Always lovely and one of the best wine lists and views in DC!
Great service. We always the grilled seafood platter. Delicious! The hamachi tartar was also delightful. We got seated by kitchen, so it was fun to see the chefs assemble the seafood tower.
I go to this excellent restaurant every couple of days since I like the special atmosphere that is part of this place. The team is extremely friendly and professional. The service is awfully quick. Needless to say, the food they prepare is magnificent. I frequent often and I was always delighted. The rate is decent. I recommend this place to to all.
Beautiful restaurant with water views as well as outdoor seating, which is where we sat. The food was delicious! Excellent service!!!
No doubt a 5-star experience. I'd love to go back and sit on their porch by the river when the weather gets warmer. I ordered the tuna carpaccio and mixed fish in a tomato based broth. Both were superb. Didn't have a chance to look at the wine list, but got the impression it is extensive.
High end Italian restaurant by the water. Very friendly staff. Our waiter's name was Alex, very knowledgeable about the restaurant's owner, history, and food! We had the Ancona platter... combination of different types of seafood and it was amazing and very fresh!
one of my favorite meals in DC. Service and food quality are consistently on point.
