Figleaf Cafe Review

The best coffee I've ever had. Have yet to be disappointed. It's wonderful even in my drip machine. Can't wait to try it in the french press.

The owner is a fantastic guy. Very knowledgeable and personable. He was great with my toddler. Did not make me feel unwelcome with a child. Thanks Tom!

What a great coffee. I found this coffee roaster after always importing my coffee from a company in chicago, now I'm glad I have someone roasting great beans locally.

Coffee beans are good, but I seriously have to question the business acumen of the owners. While in the shop I overheard a conversation about politics and was appalled at the subject matter and the tone of the conversation. Everyone has their own opinions, but when you berate an entire section of the population you should make sure those people within earshot are not going to hear it. I will never purchase another bag of coffee from them and it s a shame, their product was good.

The Worst coffee! Tastes like burnt, over roasted, acidic lava! You can t even get a cup of coffee there to try before you buy! If I had I would have never paid that much for the premium international load of lip service they try to sell you on!

I've have been trying several kinds of roasted beans, and they all have been wonderful! I was looking for a local roaster and incidentally found Fig Leaf. Tom was super nice when I emailed him questions about the beans and answered promptly. When I came into the store, he took time to chat with me regarding the different beans and recommended me the ones he thinks I would enjoy. Highly recommend! Support your local roasters!

This is by far the best coffee I have ever purchased. I do not drink coffee personally but I gave some to my parents and other friends and they always ask me to get them more. The owner is a great guy and is very knowledgeable about all kinds of coffee and different beans. I got a whole history lesson on coffee beans and they proper way to brew. I love it. If you are a lover of coffee then you need to try Fig Leaf coffee, they do wholesale discounts as well for the larger orders.

I thought Gevalia was great coffee until I tried this coffee. Now, I realize I was drinking drek. There are coffees for every taste and palate. Thank you for choosing and roasting such delicious coffee!!

Tom is so knowledgeable and his genuine passion for awesome coffee is evident with his enthusiasm and high quality products. I've purchased numerous bags of coffee for my family and to give as gifts. I work in Chagrin Falls, so when I learned that it was being offered at the chagrin cake company, and I could literally walk over and enjoy his coffee, I was very excited! Tom turned me from a regular Starbucks patron to someone who seeks out and supports local small business coffee... it's so much better!

I have only ever posted 1 other Google review, but knew I simply must for this company. We just received a bag of the Sumatra Takengon Roast as a gift. Holy Moly. I have tried many 'quality' varieties of coffee in my life and this one stands out as the absolute best! It is smooth, complex, and dark but not at all bitter. The minute I opened the package, the divine aroma told me I had to make a pot right then and there. Truly outstanding!

The owner was very helpful. I bought 3 different kinds of coffee beans. Just tried one so far, the Rwanda Coopac. And that was a terrific cup of coffee. I can see myself buying more coffee from Fig Leaf Coffee Company. Im the kinda guy that has to try them all.

My husband and I have been buying this coffee since the business came online. It has been a life upgrade for us. We love supporting a small local business and MOST of all the coffee is delicious. We have even screwed up our order and the owner fixed it for us- cheerfully. We love Fig Leaf.

I absolutely love their coffee here. I am a huge coffee drinker and ever since I tried Fig Leaf's coffee, I have not bought anything else. Every one I have tried, I have enjoyed and they offer so many varieties and are always bringing in new things to try. The owner, Tom, is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in assisting you choose the right coffee for you.

I walk in to Fig Leaf once a month for 2 Lbs of freshly roasted coffee beans. It is a spectacular deal to be able to see and smell the different origins of coffee before buying. The owner is always excited to answer my questions about his products. the passion is there. I tend to pick up some beans that were roasted earlier in the week. You can tell how fresh it is because the taste and smell develops and matures over the course of about two weeks. Fig Leaf is truely keeping a lost art alive .

Stellar coffee! Stellar service! I particularly like the Sumatra dark full bodied roast that delivers a great bold taste without being bitter. It can slap you awake in the morning, smooth out the sweet in dessert and warm you to sleep in the evenings. When at the store, I can always depend on a few well spent minutes having "Coffee Talk" with Tom.

I recently worked with Tom on party favors for a big reveal party. Tom provided a custom roast blend and the coffee was a huge hit. The smell alone was intoxicating! The coffee itself was beyond delicious!

Customer Service is great and the owner is awesome. So far my favorite is "Serra Azul" the flavor is amazing. If you have not tried any of the fig leaf coffees you really need to check it out for yourself! check out their website!

Based on the many recommendations from a friend, I decided to give Fig Leaf Coffee Company a try. The timing was perfect as I was getting low on coffee at home and needed my fix (don't we all?) I placed an order online as I didn't want to leave my home due to the virus. I knew that the order wouldn't arrive before Christmas and I was completely fine with that. In fact, the owner and operator Tom sent me an email letting me know I could have selected express shipping to get it there soon, but I told him it was not a problem to wait.

Today, I get a notification from my Ring camera that someone was making a delivery and lo and behold, it's from Fig Leaf! I called to apologize for them having to come to my house to make the delivery so quickly and they said it wasn't a problem and they wanted to make sure it arrived before the holiday. ***They made a customer for life***

If the coffee is 1/100th as good as the customer service, I am in for an amazing treat. I cannot wait to dig in and taste coffee the way it was meant to be: recently roasted and blended to perfection. Thank you, Fig Leaf!

I m your typical coffee drinker who likes her flavored creamers. When I had my first taste of Figleaf Coffee, I was blown away by the complexity and the ease at which you are able to drink it, undoctored. I tried flavored creamers with the coffee and I ruined a truly pure and delicious coffee by doing so. The passion and blood, sweat, and tears put into each batch is evident in the knowledge and willingness Tom shares his enthusiasm with each customer. Northeastern Ohio has a real treasure tucked away in Chester Township. Definitely check them out if you are a lover of all things coffee. I m a fan of Figleaf, for life!

Love this place. I go in at least once per week to get my beans. They are always fresh and Tom knows his coffee and loves to share.
