It's a small place and a little loud, but it's great for lunches

In town for the night. We went here because it was highly recommended. I can see why! The food was great. My friend said the burger was the best he'd ever had. Definitely recommend it!

The smell of their food greets you at the door when you walk in and at that moment they have you. Their friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff is your next encounter. Great selection of refreshments of the liquid variety and from what I can tell a very difficult decision of what you will eat. I had the pleasure of having the pseudo sue to drink and their smoked brisket sandwich. I also recommend getting their hot bbq with the sandwich. Fries are a good decision as well. Hefty portions and an active desire to return to try more on their menu!

I love this place. While we were house hunting, we stopped in for a beer. We decided on the spot that our future home had to be within walking distance of Fat Dans. One year later and it still lives up to the hype

I ordered the Italian beef and my boyfriend had the Chicago dog. We had an order of small fries and it was enough for 3 people to share. Great food great waitress prompt service and kept our glasses filled.

Love coming here for a beer and some indulgently unhealthy food. It's a good time with a nice laid back atmosphere. Wish they stayed open just a bit longer some nights.

This location blows! Sat myself and waited more than 10 minutes never to be acknowledged. Took my money and business elsewhere. Huge Chicago sports fan and fan of Fat Dans food. I'll just patronize the other locations. This one sucks!

If you're looking for great barbecue, this is the place to get it.

On Saturday's and Sunday's they have amazing ribs, but they can sell out so get there early.

If BBQ isn't your thing, there's a great variety of other sandwiches and burgers that won't steer you wrong.

Would give a 5, but since I am a Cubs fan, they rarely have the sound on for the games & close on nights the Cubs play before the game ends. JMO

Stopped here for lunch on 12/30/2017. We're visiting from Iowa. 6 of us stopped in and had wings, corn dogs, Fatty melt and other sandwiches. All of which were great!! And the Old Style hit the spot!! Hope you folks got your heat fixed! ! Thanks from Iowa!!

What a great place! My favorite wings in the city - smoked for hours and then grilled to order. So flavorful they don't even need to be slathered in sauce. The burgers are spectacular as well, I really like some of their options. The beers on tap are always interesting. Love the nitro choices!
Everything I've tried here has been excellent. Except for the coleslaw, that was bland and boring. But who cares, the rest is SO GOOD. I still need to make it on meatloaf day and ribs day.

WORST customer service. We ordered carry out. We we arrived home we found that one of the sandwiches was wrong. Should be an easy fix. We called to let them know and asked if they would exchange the sandwich. The guy argued with me. They asked me what I had ordered, if I was sure that s what I had ordered, then they wanted me to check the receipt and make sure it said that on the receipt as well. When I asked why it mattered what it said on the receipt the guy said he s sorry it s not his responsibility to check sandwiches anyway. I heard him yell to the cooks that this was the third order tonight that was wrong. He came back to the phone and asked me again if I was sure that I had ordered properly. I ll be taking my business to North End.

If you want a great sandwich and way too many delicious fries come here.... just be prepared for swatting away flies from your face. A large fry will easily be enough for 4 people. 2 large fries and 6 of us couldn't finish them. Otherwise very good sandwich and quick service

I think I had bad service, 17$ for lunch for 1. Very small portion, I joked to the bartender that I could eat another. Basically around 3-4oz of meat on my ruban. With a child's hand portion of chips. The food did taste good, over priced for the child size portion. I am not fat, my waist size 32-34. If you are hungry go 2 Sam Gyros or Yatz. I don't mind spending money on food, but I could eat 2 and may still be hungry at the 30$ mark.

This place is amazing!! So good!! We had the dirty tots and pulled pork and it was delicious!! Definitely recommend! Nice atmosphere too.

Great BBQ in an old building. Parking is limited as you are on the South end of Broadripple. Give huge portions of French Fries. Busy bar noise so this is not a question place. Has a honest hole in the wall atmosphere.

I think this place has the best cubano in the city. Ive never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Highly recomended.

Its most deffently not a deli, its more a bar. Now in saying that it was cool the food was good and service was good.

I went there for a late lunch the server was kind of cold but she got my food right out to me which was cool. I'll admit I'm somewhat of a barbecue purest my make some of the best brisket in the world. This wasn't bad but it wasn't good it just wasn't flavorful and was kind of tough I feel like I got overcharged for $11 brisket sandwich oh well.

This is the third strike with the same bartender present. I agree the food is amazing when it comes to certain items, though don't stray from the traditional burger because it won't be prepared as described, I had the ghost burger...not so much with the prep. The brisket is good, not great. The guy that took care of us tonight had more personality than any other staff we have seen. Loaded tots were cold...and not good.

Live music, awesome food. Cool place to unwind. Hard to find. Kids allowed.

There's nothing else really even close in Indy doing what FD's does. Unabashedly a Windy City joint, with crazy good phatty food. Dirty Tots made me tear up first time I had them.

Great atmosphere. Awesome staff. Excellent food! If I had to find something to complain about I guess it would be it's a little cramped for space. But that's part of it's allure. Go ahead and stop in you won't be disappointed.

The chicago dog and burger are always winners. When the frys are crispy, theyll blow your mind.

Great Chicago style restaurant. Italian beef sandwiches. Brats and good local draft beer line up. Fries come out by the basket full. And staff is friendly and make it fun.

What a pleasant place to eat and drink! Had a burger today, was piping hot, juicy, crisp fresh garden. Delicious. Try the smoked wings, trust me, spend the money.

This establishment is like a shrine to Chicago teams, if you re from Chicago it ll feel like home. If you re from St. Louis, you ll hate it, instead of the blues game tonight, they were showing the cubs game. I went in for some wings and tots to watch the blues tonight and the food was great, and maybe it was a good luck charm for the blues making it to the Stanley cup finals. I took my order to go and drove 20 minutes with a craft beer mini stop and the food was still warm when it was unpackaged. The wings and tots went perfectly with my hefeweizen and my boyfriends amber ale! The location is on central street which is harder to get to due to the indy red line construction but in September it ll be easier to get to with the bus station right outside. Definitely check out this little Chicago themed hole in a wall. The food alone was worth it and though i hate most Chicago teams, I ll be back for those wings and especially for the dirty tots!

Been coming here on Sundays to watch Bears games for a few years now. The Italian beef and the ribs are ALWAYS fantastic and worth the trip alone. Plus, Bears fans everywhere. Home away from home.

This was **the** place to get wings and damn good burgers, but lately the staff doesn t have any personality, they are not attentive, and generally unkind (dismissive) is more the right word. The Mass Ave location is much better. So, if all you re looking for is good food without a welcoming atmosphere Fat Dan s in Broad Ripple is the place.

The food is delicious, beer is cold, and service is amazing. The pastrami sandwich and mini corn dogs are my go to, but everything on the menu is absolutely YUMMY

The BEST wings I ve ever had. I always intend on trying more new things because everything I ve had there is fantastic, but my god these wings keep calling me back.

Oh! The atmosphere is super fun, always great beers on tap, Cubs games on tv (and yes they ll even play my Purdue despite their clear IU/Butler preference, maybe if I buy them a flag...). They ve also been very responsible with COVID and that is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely love Fat Dan's. They provide a great greasy spoon type menu with actual wage quality meat and produce. Don't get me wrong, this is by no means 'healthy' but the quality is A+. You really feel like you're eating at an authentic Chicago greasy spoon. The atmosphere provided is always fun and the staff is very helpful and up beat. Every time I want a good beer on tap and very tasty food I go to Fat Dan's. While the physical atmosphere at the two locations is very different the experience and quality is equal at both. Highly recommend this Indy gem, try them out!

Enormous portions of delicious Chicago style foods and sandwiches.

I love the garage doors opening up to the front bistro style seats and the street. There is more seating out bacj. I ca n.v zee a party enjoying that area. Ok; i got a cheeseburger which came w/ chips .My friend and I shared fries. They were pretty much seasoned way to much. Service was great. Friendly and pretty fast.

The food is good, the service keeps me coming back. I rarely rate restuarants but they are extremely friendly and go out of their way for you. That and they always play the Cubs games.

First time here. So many things on the menu we wanted to try. Lots of beer choices as well. BLT, Hot Piggy and wings were all Really Good. Will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, blues music playing and a nice breeze blowing through. The brisket, wings, Chicago beef, beer cheese fries and dirty tots were awesome! Great beers on tap and you can bring the kids which is a must for us most of the time. We'll definitely be back!

Had lunch on Monday sat outside there were 3 other tables with people sitting at them they all got up before we were done and not one server wiped down the tables but you could come in with out a mask, do t feel comfy going back there. You know we re in a Pandemic shame on you

The ribs were great and the have a sweet sauce or a hot sauce, both of which make their smoked meats to die for!
