Deffinatly enjoyed the happy hour menu. Drink and very tasty, food was fresh and tasty
I really like the setup of Tiki bars and chose this bar while we were in San Francisco. Barely any place to stand, let alone find a place to sit. It was a weekend and was really crowded. We were waiting in line to get inside the bar. The line was surprisingly moving quick. But once we were let in, we realized how small this bar was. There were three levels but we were at the ground level.
Ordering drinks is such a hassle here if you aren't already sitting in the bar area. There were just two bartenders and I suppose the bar can't hold more than two at a time. You need to order drinks at the door which is next to the restroom. While waiting to order, I almost felt like someone would accidentally push me into the restroom since there was no room at all. I had to wait a long time to even to order drinks. Of course, we didn't get to sit. We just ordered two drinks and wanted to leave soon. This place was starting to get really stuffy and I needed some air!
Full Tequila Mezcal Cocktail bar only ! They have fun Salas live music! On Wednesday they do Tequila tasting with Pedro ! If you walk to the end of the bar out side in the patio you can order freshly made Tacos ! Definitely come if you want to dance Latin all night ! I personally like me a Spicy Daisy ; )
Only decent bar in the area while waiting in line for some ramen. Service can be subpar and parking is rough in this area.
Fun bar within a bar. Several different settings for different moods of eating and drinking.
A good place for drinks. Great beer selection, and the Ming's Wings are fantastic.
Wouldn't say it's anything special but easy breezy -- easy to get in, easy to grab drinks, and easy to get out!
If you like sports, all kinds and you like drinking and eating then this is the place, not many bars in little Tokyo so fill ya boots here, tons of different ales ipa beers etc and lovely food.. don't forget the happy hour deals...
Hip spot in Little Tokyo. Decent beer selection and good food. Little pricey, but a cool place to grab a drink and an occasional bite.
So good! Simple, great service, clean establishment, awesome tasting fish, aaaand if you're like me and get full really fast with rice you can ask for low rice on all the rolls!
Food was quite good. I agree with reviewers who opine that the food and certainly the drinks are a bit pricy (it's dinner theater--they need to compensate for only getting one or rarely two seatings evening), but portions (including the wine) are substantial. The cheese plate was excellent and the pepperoni flatbread was one of the better versions I've ever had. My dinner companion was quite happy with his burger. Service was good.
Figuring out how to get in was the most challenging part: entry for shows is from the restaurant in back (around the Starbucks on Prospect and up the alley), not from the storefront on Vermont.
Great spot tucked away in Little Tokyo. Looks like an unassuming alleyway from the street; this is definitely one of those if you know, you know type places.
Love Tiki-Ti and especially because it's family-run (started by Ray Buhem and currently run by his son and grandson) since it opened in 1961.
THE AMBIANCE:
Incredibly small - they say the size of a living room - bathroom in the back. Super decorated, which I love. Writing everywhere. So much to see. Packed. Drink menu is extensive. We met a man that is a regular+ at this establishment. He told us he goes every day it's open. The regular+ has a yellow hat in one of my videos.
Cool bar hang out! Went there twice and both experiences were great (service). This time went during Happy Hours on a Saturday afternoon. Bar food was average but we like the low key vibe. Weekend nights are crowded.
Bar could be better kept. Seems overdue for a renovation. Service is mediocre to better than normal. Drinks are good.
A bar I find myself returning to for some social time with different folks in my Circle. It's probably because it's pretty central and in little Tokyo. Cocktails are decent and their beer selection is plentiful. I had a birthday dinner there one year and the food is also good.
This place is relatively affordable, not the cheapest bar option but definitely not super expensive either. I'd say it's a solid place.
Love the appetizers and the service is great. I came here on a Wednesday night after the LAFC game not too crowded.
Amazing selection of japanese whiskys and beers!!! Love this place.
What an amazing place hidden in Studio City. Staff is wonderful and friendly - very clean and upscale environment. Will definitely be back!!
Cozy alley and back patio seating with heaters and white lanterns. Try wasabi fries and beef tacos (2 per order/plate) on the happy hour menu, from 3-7 PM. After 5 PM, $3 parking on Judge Aiso street just the next block.
Food was amazing. Seasoned well, on time, hot and great. Service was mediocre at best. Being in this business for years I have no issues with being busy or understanding situations. Blatantly not listening to requests is being my spectrum of understanding. None the less I will return, it was good.
Cool looking bar though it's a bit small for events they have there.
Cool back alley bar, good Happy Hour food and drinks
Love the patio in the alleyway. Really good Happy Hour specials for both food and drinks. They also have an impressive beer list.
Definitely my favorite place to get some delicious cocktail drinks. And can't go wrong with how nice it looks at night.
It was a decent experience with kind staff and a nestled location in LA
Went here today for lunch at around 11:30am. Line wasn't too long, took around 10-15 mins for us to order and another ~15 mins for food. All the food was good, some better than expected.
Croque Madame (5/5) - Very flavorful while not being overly salty. Had a unique flavor to it, was surprised.
Definitely recommend getting this.
Kimchi Fried Rice (3/5) - Good, but still think you could get better or just as good at a Korean restaurant.
Grilled Chicken Salad (5/5) - Awesome salad. The caramelized walnuts were a nice touch.
Hey i have a video but it won't let me post it. In short I ordered a house burger, the far bar burger. Didn't care about the price cause I figured it would be good. However when I got my burger it was like over cooked, not juicy, it almost looked like a reheated party. Just not what I was expecting. Super disappointed. I have a video of just how the burger looked. It was chewy, and eraser like. Anywho, never going to buy food here again. And I'll find a way to post the burger they served me somehow later. I'd honestly give it no stars. Wasted of time and money.
Very chill place and great beer selection from Japan.
Neat, hidden bar with good good and drinks. I'm a walkable area with plenty of nearby destinations including landmarks and other bars and restaurants. Parking is inconvenient.
Bartenders in CA aren't typically the most patient individuals. Asking to taste a beer before ordering a full one eyeroll. Getting a beer without half a glass of head miracle.
So needless to say I was shocked when the bartender at the Far Bar graciously allowed us to try a handful of beers before making our final picks. Add in the fact that the brews are awesome + the location is around the corner from my crib SOLD.
Great customer service, great food, amazing handcrafted drinks.
With a great beer selection and reasonable prices, it had the feel of being in LA without the price tag. Service was attentive and nice staff. Will definitely be making this a regular stop.
This place is pretty cool. I think I agree with most of the other reviews. They have good food and (seriously!) SO MANY BEERS ON TAP. It's kinda crazy. The place is really small, so you probably wouldn't expect much of their beer selection, but it's pretty great. When I was there on Friday, they had some neat beers from a local brewery. I think this is a regular thing and they switch up the brewery. Pretty cool!
There are bouncers outside, but the place is very unpretentious. The bouncers just check ID; no dress code or anything crazy like that. AND they stop people from smoking in the outside alley part of the bar. It's awesome. F you, smokers!
This is my favorite Thai neighborhood restaurant. It has been renovated recently and the new decor makes the little corner restaurant look nice and refreshed. Most of my orders are take out. Their noodle dishes and curries are tasty, generous, and fresh. Highly recommended. Customer service is great too!
Came here on a Saturday. The service was very welcoming and observant. The bill was decent.
By far the best TiKi Bar in Los Angeles. Hell, better than anywhere I've been in Hawaii too.
I've been coming here for years and so happy very little has changed. Staff are so friendly and always good at helping find your specific taste. I can't recommend a drink. They are ALL good! Get there early! It fills up fast;)
