DO NOT expect good service! We booked here for our wedding and had over 20 plus room nights booked. It was a disaster from the start. I had to physically stop in to talk to management about booking a block of rooms because they wouldn't answer their phones. When I finally got a hold of someone who worked there it wasn't the sales manager or GM so I had to wait for one of them to contact me back. It took so long it delayed my wedding invitations being mailed. When we finally got that taken care of their pool broke. As the pool was a big factor in our selection of hotel I was concerned it wouldn't be fixed in time. I understand they can't control when something breaks but they had over 6 weeks to the wedding to get it fixed ,(the wedding was in February not a very busy season for hotels in Lansing Michigan), I would call every week asking for an update and was told something different every single time. Never once did a manager contact me or even bother calling to inform me of the broken pool my guest did as they called to reserve rooms. As it turns out they promised the week of the wedding it would be fixed and it wasn't. As a comp to the huge inconvenience they said they would wave the cancellation fee for anyone who wanted to switch hotels. This was the Friday before my wedding!!! No one has time to re-coordinate over 20 rooms the day before a wedding!!. After the chaos of the pool I heard from several guests their reservation was messed up, they charged rooms to wrong cards and kept saying their system Was down and people waited for 2 weeks to reach someone to reserve a room. While I was dealing with this hotel I heard their system was down several times and promises that were not kept. There was 2 reasons we chose comfort inn 1) the pool for the kids and 2) the shuttle service. Their management team very promptly reminded me that if we didn't get 20 rooms booked it would cost us an extra $130 for 6 shuttle services less than 4 miles to our venue. Once we did get 20 rooms booked and the shuttle was free, Samantha, their sales manager told me rather rudely the Friday before the wedding that if we need more than 6 shuttles we would have to pay for them at 30 bucks a pop and that "it was stated in the contract that way" this came after she called to tell me the pool was NOT working 24 hours before my wedding...service was terrible do NOT go here or stay here. The reason for the 2 stars vs 1 is because the night shift counter lady was very relaxed with us when we returned to the hotel at midnight the night of the wedding. Please do yourself a favor stay somewhere else!!
