I had a cardiac MRI done. The guy placed the leads on me, left the room and came back and removed them. He then started all over again. Like he just stepped out to look at a textbook to see if they were in the right place? He said they were paying doctors too much to come and do it, so he does it now. Which is fine, if he's doing it right, and perhaps he is. I can only speak to how things went for me and I did question it.
A nurse was there when the leads were placed on because my breast was exposed (of course professional), but she wasn't there when it was exposed again to remove the leads. This is inconsistent.
The day before my MRI, Mandy (Admin Assistant) called an hour before my doctors office closed claiming they didn't have my creatinine results. My doctor's office (and later the hospital whom I also had to call), both said the results were faxed. The problem wound up being that the fax number on their blood work request form isn't the fax number for the MRI department.
False Creek is clearly suffering financially. The MRI room has cheap, dingy lighting. The same kind Sears had before they went bankrupt. The ceiling tiles are painted navy blue, obviously to hide staining and because they can't afford new tiles.
I just hope to hell someone there can read my MRI properly. Especially if the leads weren't on correctly.
If results are accurate, I'm glad I had the $ to do this regardless.
