I'm a physician at OCC and I find that the patients receive excellent care from all the nurses and the staff is very attentive to the residents needs

I would highly recommend this rehab center!
The care was great! The staff were compassionate & very professional!

My mom came to the Oceanside Care Center.There not given her I V medication because they refused to do anything to help her get better.

I love the nursing staff here! They are so pleasant and fun to be around. The building is extremely clean. Everyone is very helpful and attentive to my needs. Activities are amazing! They even had a baby horse, among other animals, visit. Physical therapy is excellent! They really know how to help. I had pain in my arm for many years, but after working with them it is all gone!

My father was here for a few weeks three years ago. It was such a nightmare that it still bothers me and I had to write this review. I would come there every day to see my father and found him in a wheelchair in the corner of the room blocked in with tables so he could not get out. They were upset because he wanted to walk. From the photos, it looks like the lobby was redone but the rooms were horrible and I don't see any photos showing that the rooms were redone. The owner should stay here one day but I'm sure he'll go to a much nicer facility.

The facility is very clean. Mom is doing well. The staff is caring.

I cannot begin to say enough GREAT things about this place. Our family member was placed @ Oceanside Care Center in April & from the moment she rolled in she was greeted w/warm friendly smiles & welcomed by the Administrator as soon as she got into her beautiful private room. She was seen by the rehab team right away & by the next day was already up & out of bed, working out in their gorgeous gym working on steps so she could return home. The nursing care here is where we were extremely blown away. Always smiling, courteous, & on top of your care. They answered all our questions anytime there was a concern, took our phone call if we couldn t make it in to visit & kept us updated w/any changes medically or w/medications on our loved one. If you are in need of a Sub-Acute Rehabilitation place , look no further b/c this is your place!

I struggle mightily. The people at Oceanside just don t return phone calls. They don t give a damn about people and treat me, my needs, and my time like garbage. I am horrified by the rudeness I have witnessed in this hell hole and i write this review to discourage anyone from going to this terrible place.

As a Gerontologist in the field for 24 years, I have worked in several skilled nursing and rehab facilities. Oceanside Care Center is by far the best facility I have ever worked in. As the Director of Social Work, I get to work with the top, most knowledgeable, caring and professional interdisciplinary team daily. OCC is a family oriented environment that truly cares about the patient's welfare first and foremost. The Administrator is extremely involved and ready to pitch in whenever and wherever needed. It is an absolute pleasure coming into work each week and I look forward to many more fulfilling years at this amazing facility.

Extremely sensitive to patients needs. I highly recommend the facility! The staff and care are second to none. I have spoken to the administrator several times and he has always been kind and accommodating to all of my needs. He goes above and behind the call of duty! A+++

I was very concerned about placement for my uncle, I chose Oceanside and was so very pleased with his care. I felt the compassion from the staff. I had no complaints. I was very happy with my choice. Clean, friendly staff, I have visited other facilities and this was by far the best kept.. Keep it up Oceanside!

I wish there were an option for no stars. This place is a joke. Do not put your loved ones here. Laws are bent, if not totally broken. Residents are neglected, not taken to the bathroom when they say they have to go, and nurses or nurses aides are always "too busy". Residents are in wheelchairs, and blocked in by a table so that they can't move. It is barbaric! I visited a family friend here and was disgusted at how the residents are treated and how few employees are available. Do not pass go, do not collect (or in this case spend) $200, RUN RUN RUN!!!

Very pleased with informative staff and level of care. Genuine demonstration of kindness for our dad and continued attention. We thank you.

Dirty. .ignored patients needs..staff needs ALOT more training. I could call my veterinarian for my dogs and get better service. Run don't walk from this nightmare of a place they call rehabilitation center.

I'm only writing this now as my mom will once again be going into a rehabilitation nursing home. I just read a 5 star review about this facility where the person wrote "nice owner, looked well run". Talk about judging a book by its cover. My mom spent a little over a month last November at this home. I have to say the staff not all, but many are absolutely not professional. They would enter the room and mom whom was a professional RN for 35 + years would ask the name of the person and they ignored her. They did not announce themselves or what they were entering the room for. I believe this is protocal Also many did not wear there name tag or at least kept in hidden. On several occasions mom would call for help at times as she was incontinent and her calls went unanswered for quite some time.
The home itself is in my opinion dirty, and not a cheerful atmosphere.
My advise if you enter this facility is go with your gut feeling. RUN!!!

My husband was here for a month due to a cervical fracture. The care he received at this facility was beyond my expectations. It was a very difficult time not being able to go vist due to COVID19 and the staff from social work, nursing, rehab, dietician and more were exemplary. I called on a regular basis to folow up with the staff and they were always friendly and willing to help. My husband had no complaints at all. I highly recommend this facility for anyone that needs rehabilitation for thier loved one.

My husband and I and our family want to thank all the staff for making a challenging experience a positive one.

Our agency, ACLD, enjoys volunteering here. The staff and residents are phenomenal human beings.

I'm satisfied with my services and the staff is very good. The facility is quite clean and am impressed with that.

At the Oceanside Care Center, the staff are CARING, KIND, and true PROFESSIONALS. They understand the need to provide their patients dignity in addition to nursing-style care. They truly do their best. God BLESS.

I have never felt compelled to write a review before, but I was so upset at how this facility treated my dad. He was there for 6 weeks. Last week he was declared fit for discharge,even on twenty meds a day, oxygen and insulin injections ! He is currently Medicaid pending. I was very concerned about my dad not being in a nursing facility. Yes he was still covered on Medicare and AARP. However Daniel,the administrator told me quote, I m not a clinician. He had me in tears. Long story short ... one day home he fell, couldn t get up was sent back to South Nassau hospital. Predicted that !! He s now in a new facility in Long Beach. The staff there is helpful and caring. The only positive at Oceanside is the nursing and social work. Admissions ... never once asked how things were , even when she walked right past me.Business office ... zero help and as mentioned the director is completely uncaring. They probably will treat patients better who are paying out of pocket ! If given a choice I recommend people go elsewhere with their loved ones. FYI at least one of the 5 star reviews posted here is from an employee.I would not be surprised if the other 5 star ratings are from their own employees too. FYI my father passed away 5/13/2018.
