I have had a lot of bad experiences with mortgage companies. We were so frustrated with the process of trying to modify our loan. We bought our home and closed THE WEEK that the housing market crashed. We were instantly upside down and stuck with the only loan that we could get - an interest-only loan at 7.625%. OUCH. We tried working with the banks to modify but were pushed into endless circles chasing paperwork for over a YEAR.
We luckily have a couple friends that are realtors and asked for their help and they didn't hesitate to send us to Jeremy at Pinnacle Capital. He was able to answer all our questions and we felt so comfortable working with him because he truly understood how we as consumers felt being tossed around in the system. He mentioned that the new HARP2 guidelines would allow us to refinance our loan at a lower rate and got to work right away.
During the process Jeremy would call at least weekly to give a status update and expectations for the next steps. Due to some complex issues with our particular home it took a little longer than normal, but Jeremy stayed diligent and really took ownership of pushing this through for us. We now have a conventional mortgage at a much lower rate saving us over $600/month.
We really appreciate an honest and caring business in the community. Pinnacle made us feel like we were the only clients. It was a really great experience.
UPDATE - Fast forward to 2015 and Jeremy Schachter @ Pinnacle has worked another miracle! We just finished our last renovation and were finally ready to refinance the house and see where we stood with our equity. Jeremy jumped into action and had the house appraised and us pre-approved for an AMAZING refi rate immediately. We ended up refinancing to a fixed, 15-year loan in less than 3 weeks. This process was so easy! We couldn't be happier!
