Below expectation The hotel is an icon in Baku. it is one of the flame towers which are well known in this city. Location Is excellent with a wonderfull sea view. Employees are friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean but windows are not wind proof. I couldn't sleep the first night when it was windy. There is a nice indoor swimming pool. Breakfast buffet is not bad but has limited variety of food. Service is very poor. No body cleaned the room in two days. I had to call them at 6 pm to clean the room.

Everything is luxurious. But ruined them on the site Shwe distance from vital sites. I mean Hilton Vick walks anywhere on foot. But Firemont needs Tex.

The hotel is one of the best hotels in Baku and is characterized by calm and cleanliness and also close to the famous Nizami Street in the city where it is about five minutes by car and close to other city landmarks
Do not stay at Fairmont!!! Service is terrible especially in Nun lounge! The lounge staff had no mint and no ginger. The manager did not allow us to sit? Served us cold food and in general just kept us waiting for everything. Finally ordered some drink and specifically mentioned we don t drink alcohol. They ended up adding alcohol and serving us ! The manager is standoffish , staff makes faces and they are banging utensils. We even tried to joke with them to lighten the mood but they kept making faces. How can a five star hotel not have Basics like mint and ginger? When we asked for Sheesha they say they have 68 flavours and they don t have menu card and cannot tell us the flavours as it will take all morning to tell us the flavours? We then asked for mint flavour and were told it s not there. We asked for lemon and they said not there. Finally we said if they don t have menu and u can t tell us flavours plus you don t have what we have then how do I order? Finally they said they have three or four flavours ?! We ordered a flavour and the manager went out for half an hour. He comes back saying the flavour we ordered was not there?! We were waiting for half an hour? He could have informed earlier? He then just kept apologising but his staff was so rude! When we checked in our room the charging console wasn t working. I asked them to replace and they said they have no staff and to charge our phone to the tv. We had to sleep with the tv on entire night. The light from the tv bothered us the entire night. Next morning finally after asking again they finally send someone to change the console. The toilet seat also wasn t clean on checking in ! We were treated terribly and would not recommend Fairmont in Baku. Stay at art gallery hotel. Much better. Great staff . Awesome service!
I give 5 Stars for this Hotel. Although we only experienced the goodness of the staff and the beauty of the hotel views and amenities but also we experienced some discomforts inside the hotel premises. We left the Hotel last January 3, 2020. The goodness based on our experiences in this hotel are the personnel are very friendly in the reception desks and every where they smile when we meet them, the luggage boy was very attentive to ask if we still need some help in some other things. Then when became our room at 3 pm we hurriedly rushed in to relaxed because we were tired from our travel. Another thing that impressed us was bec we were in a hurry to come inside our room we forgot my Winter Coat outside which i hanged in one of the Lobby's corner Couch. It had stayed their surely more than 3 hours already . When i noticed that my cellphone was gone i remembered i placed it in my Winter coat and my Coat is not in the room so i tried to recall that it might be left anywhere in the lobby, so i rushed in going downstairs to the lobby and i luckily found my Coat still hanging in one corner Couch. My husband said: "You see no one is stealing your Coat here. They are honest." Yes that's true because my Cellphone was still in my Winter coat too! Another incident: my husband forget one bag where we sat to drink a cup of coffee in the Balcon Cafe. When i started to pack our Luggage i remembered we have had a paper bag from United Colors of Benetton with two hats inside. When i come back the following day and told the Male personnel about my lost bag he handed it back to me after describing what was in. Therefore, i can say they are honest in this way too. The Beauty we experienced in this Hotel are the Amenities: Our room was 60 sq m big. with wide range of City Center View. I took pictures of the Caspian Sea View i just went to the 28th floor by elevator. The room has everything what a 5 star hotel offers. Everything is in order and clean. They serve 4 bottles of 0,5 l still water every day. We told to the cleaning lady not to clean our room because we wanted our privacy but she still cleaned the room which is positively understandable anyway. Everything that has something to do with mechanisms inside the rooms are functioning well except the WIFI is not stable in providing us internet access. It get lost sometimes that we have to reconnect again and again. Until my husband went with his Laptop in the Lobby to connect it for us. They gave us 24hrs connection. ( OMG why not just giving us the exact Password!!) They said when we come in we are automatically connected. No password needed. Then in the TV not much English and German Channels to see.( Anyway these are only small things to complain about). another negative comment is about the luggage management. They are not well keep in the safe space. They are here and there in the lobby area. The rest are satisfactorily met as expected in a 5 stars hotel. So i planned to visit this Hotel again.
Beautifully decorated lobby, friendly staff at the entrance. Settlement passed quickly. Asked for the top floor, gave no problem. On the top floor, the size of the room is several times smaller, but the most unpleasant thing is that when there is a strong wind, then the room has a loud crack and hum. Also in the room was missing: Le Labo Rose 31 cosmetics, scales and an alarm clock. The room itself is dirty and needs some minor repairs. For those who want to connect their hard drive to a plasma, this is not at this hotel. Very good SPA center, I advise you to visit, the prices for procedures for the level of this are affordable. Breakfast was very disappointing: for this level of hotel, there is no choice at all for breakfast. Coffee and tea must be constantly begged, waiters like sleepy flies and many speak only local. The acidic loud music seemed incomprehensible, in my opinion this does not combine with the morning meal. At the peak of indignation was a rotten pineapple, which was offered at breakfast to beloved customers. The hotel has lost its former glory and, unfortunately, does not meet the Premium class standard and the standards of the Azzor network. I think the hotel management needs to work very hard with the staff.
Really good five star hotel with amazing view over Baku bay. It is within one of the signature buildings of the city, the Flame Towers. Pool ist great, food and cocktails are delicious, interior and rooms are comfortable and rather new. There ist lots of room and everything ist very clean. However, compared to other hotels of this (price) category there are some minor points that were a bit disappointing and could be improved maybe: First of all, the service is a bit passive and one has the feeling of having to beg for attention sometimes. That is especially during breakfast which also suffers from being pretty loud and crowded due to lots of children, limited space and no carpets (Strange because everywhere else they have huge amounts of space and carpets). Another point ist the gold lounge access. It is a nice feature but executed poorly. 1. Self service, 2. Very young and obviously unexperienced waiters (e.g. looking for white wine outside the fridge) 3. No sparkling wine included. Another point was the disappointing "Signature Cocktails" in the 19th floor bar. They were undrinkable tasting very artificial (sweet - syrup?, maybe made by unexperienced waiters?). Better use the bar at the Jazz Club (3rd Floor), as they got a great bartender and a good selection. So overall: Very nice place with potential concerning staff. Compared to other hotels in the world service lacks a bit of speed and professionality.
It truly the best place to stay in Baku, the Flame Towers is the place to be, the Fenicular is close by and from there you have the highland park, once you go down the Fenicular so can walk the Boulevard right till the Maiden Tower, which you can see the old city and the shopping area too is close by. The breakfast is just too good at fairmont. The gym, heated pool and spa is also a class apart.
Great hotel. Large, comfortable, comfortable rooms with excellent facilities. We stayed in jna deluxe room view of Marc Caspio. I won't tell you what a view! We also enjoyed the restaurant which I have to say is of excellent quality with excellent value for money. The only drawback, the position that is a bit uncomfortable and impractical in the historic center of the city. When, in the evening, the funicular is not in service, one must make do with a walk (20 minutes of steps) or with the bus number 18 if you do not want to take a taxi.
Big luxury hotel in the best business center of Azerbaijan. Convenient access to any part of the city. A magnificent hall with an incredible chandelier and pleasant service welcomes guests. Convenient access to the embankment by means of the funicular.
Great property, well located. The rooms are spacious and comfy. But the reception staff's complete lack of interest or sense of hospitality makes this the most disappointing Fairmont I've stayed at.
The best tht baku has to offer but beware..there is nothing in the other 2 flame towers..no food courts no malls nothing..only a cinema n fairmont hotel..pool is clean..nice hotel overall
A good hotel, very nice views and great food. The only problem I faced was that they never changed the sheets or towels, you have to ask them, sorry but I thought that was a 5 star hotel they SHOULD change the sheets and towels Everytime they clean the room so that's why I gave it a 3 star rating
Fairmont Baku is an ideal base for a unique Baku experience. From the moment you enter, you are welcomed by friendly staff. The views from the rooms are beautiful. Also the rooms are large and spacious and best of all extremely clean. It is easily understood that everything is chosen carefully. Everything from design to bathroom cosmetics. It's also nice to have a Nespresso machine inside. Breakfast is very successful compared to similar hotels in Baku.
We chose this hotel in order to have maximum impressions from the trip to Baku, where we decided to celebrate my birthday and get to know the city, which had been heard a lot from friends. And they guessed with a choice. It seems to me difficult to come up with a better place - the hotel is located in the greenest part of the city, has stunning views from the windows of the city, the embankment and the Old Town very close. And even if you are too lazy to go for a walk, you can have a wonderful time at the hotel, for example, by the rooftop swimming pool or listening to live music in the lobby. Special thanks to the staff for the attention to all our requests, for the warm welcome and ... for the festive cake - very touched :-). In fact, however high-class the place is, people create the mood. We left with a sense of delight and gratitude, and will be happy to return again to this hotel!
