Fantastically interesting museum about pop-culture. Saw the Chuck Jones and Star Wars costume exhibits, highly recommended!
WORLD famous Paul Allen 's attraction. Convenient location at the base of the Needle. A SEATTLE must. As a musician, I was impressed in so many ways. A must see.
If you sit up, you have to wait in line for a long time ~
Definitely a must whilst in Seattle. Get ready for nostalgia!
Came here via bus to redeem a coupon for a membership I'd received. It seems larger inside than it looks from the outside, all squishy and misshaped as it is. I think it looks like a blob from far off but up closer I saw some cool details. The collections are pretty cool to see in person.
Awesome museum definitely worth a visit when in Seattle.
Super fun loved the Prince exhibition and the horror movie exhibition.
Super fun and lots of great stuff to see. Got a little over crowded, but otherwise loved the visit.
This museum has some really fun and engaging exhibitions, most recently the Marvel exhibition, that included so many of the costumes used on the movie sets. Some of the detail in these costumes is astounding!
The work that goes into the storyboards, that give you the history, and notes on each section is always readable and informative - both fun and professional.
The other exhibitions are also very well put together and as a whole, the experience is definitely worth the money.
I d like to see the shop get expanded, and perhaps stock some limited edition or exclusive products.
Incredibly informative on Prince, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix and the Experience. Minecraft exhibit wasn't quite for me, but still super informative and relevant.
Jimmy Hendrix's guitar for national anthem during 1969 Woodstock is the crown jewel
We easily walked around with interest and smiles for 2 hours.
Very cool and engaging experience. I feel like I could spend the entire day in the musical instrument section alone! Totally worth your time and money, but minus one star for not being able to experience many of the interactive exhibits on the day of my visit due to computer malfunctions.
"Mpop" will always be the EMP. It was fun as always. Great food and service. DJ splyce was phenomenal!!! The Marvel room is a must see.
This is the best attraction in Seattle, nothing can beat this. They have the instruments used by Jimi Hendrix, Prince and Nirvana. They even have the bike owned by Prince. The place is haven for those who love pop music, sci-fi movies, and Potterheads. They have the robes of Prof. Dumbledore, Sirius Black and Fleur Delacour. They even have the original uniform worn by Leonard Nimoy (Spock) in Star Trek. Their collection boasts of the Staff of Gandalf the Grey and the axe of Gimli from lord of the rings. The place left me speechless and spellbound.
The souvenir shop in the MoPoP has a wide variety of gifts and was quite useful for me :)
The best museum experience I've ever had in my life.
Super cool. Only wish it was bigger/had more exhibits. But definitely a do not miss for anyone visiting Seattle. Don't miss the horror, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana exhibits!
If I lived in Seattle I'd have a membership. Always a new experience.
Place is vast. A lot of exhibits if you have the time. When we went, there was a limited time marvel exhibit. The exhibit takes you from Marvel Comics' humble beginnings up to today. There is a first edition "Marvel Comics" comic book on display as well as many costumes from multiple marvel movies. There are also exhibits for the world of Nintendo and music and many other things. In the music section, you can be a DJ with turn tables or be the music producer in the post production booths. You could be a recording artist in one of the recording studio booths they have. Many of fun things to do. I encourage everyone to go explore this museum. Best to plan for half-a-day in order to see most of the exhibits. If you have all day, that's the best.
This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Seattle... if you love music there's something for you to enjoy here. Also fun for those fans of fantasy/horror/sci - fi film. Probably not well suited for very young children, however. I would think ages 8+ would do best.
They switched the old EMP model. Still fun, but a little disappointing.
An interesting museum. Enjoyed visiting and getting to know more about the movie characters like Freddie Krueger etc
Museum about the pop culture.
The hall where they show music videos and life performances on a huge screen is very nice.
Further there are some exhibitions about the local pop bands of Seattle. And about the top voted film heroes.
All in all nice but not great.
I love the wonderful legacy that the late Paul Allen of Microsoft left for the people of Washington State to enjoy. I hope that Seattle can continue having more cultural places to visit.
Could be priced more affordably for what it is worth.
Amazing hands-on demo room of musical instruments, tons of history, fascinating exhibits. The indie game exhibit is especially cool.
Been several times and all of the rotating exhibits are just as fun and memorable as the enduring exhibits.
Spectacular if you like Marvel, horror, fantasy and fiction characters. It also has rock rooms, 4D cinema and much more.
Great exhibits! The marvel one is amazing! Definitely worth a visit
Great displays of captivating objects that date back to the time of great artists. The horror and sci-fi section were very informative and replicated the moments in the movies.
I went as part of the City Pass. So glad I didn't pay full admission. A big disappointment.
There's some pretty cool stuff here, but there's different levels of entry here. What you see is what you pay for. It was really crowded the day I was here.
I am a Mopop volunteer and today was the very first ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) Morning event. It was a wonderful calming and fun experience. I really hope to see more of this program, because I absolutely loved it.
Pop culture experience unique to Seattle. My kids loved the Indie game room and having a go at being a rock star on the top floor.
Terminators, Star Wars, Aliens, Michael Jackson thrillers and various costumes and goods are on display. If you are a fan, you can enjoy it.
Amazing! Only complaint is not enough time to see everything
Nice place to hang out. But, I'm not really a museum kind of a person.
The best part was how much the guy at the front desk hated his job. We laughed about that the whole visit. Was a bald gentlemen that just didnt want to be there. The exhibits were ok...not worth the money as they dont take too long to see
Absolutely loved this museum. It's right next to the Space Needle and the Seattle monorail station so it's super convenient. The exhibits here are outstanding and I only wish I could have spent more time there. The music area has "jam rooms" where you can play instruments with your friends and also interactive displays. But my favorite exhibit by far was the Marvel exhibition, which is only available for a limited time if I recall correctly. If you've got time in Seattle, definitely spend a few hours here.
very interesting info about Pearl Jam and Jimi Hendrix and l really liked the Marvel Exhibit very informative could have had move Marvel stuff missed alot of titles
It is absolutely incredible. Plus there is at least one room for everybody
Unique in its own right. Seen it, no need to go back.
It is an incredible and very interesting place to visit, the view of the city is magnificent, there is parking, it is a very large museum with several rooms and various experiences, there is a giant screen where videos and film parts are played, it is an unmissable experience if you visit the city. One of the Seattle basics.
Fun! The music room is amazing! My favorite part was the horror area.
Very cool. The Nirvana exhibit was nice, but a little light. They had some Star Trek stuff there when we visited, but the actual exhibit was pretty lame.
Fantastic museum with great exhibits. I could spend my whole day there.
Fantastic! From Harry Potter to Prince to a fashion exhibit! I highly recommend it.
I took my sons who are 8 and 5 and they loved it... So did dad!
Pretty terrible museum, nothing very well explained or laid out well. It s sort of like if a kooky and very well financed relative started a museum based on a collection of stuff they had laying around. This place should invest in getting some help to have a better layout and a better descriptions, there should be more of a narrative experience to the exhibits.
It is a good place to tourists with the children. There is a play ground and a fountain near the meseum. You can also see the seattle tower very close.
Star Trek exhibit is awesome, has lots of props and costumes used on set which was very exciting
Not particularly exciting for general audience unless you are specifically interested in some of the exhibitions.
Super fun museum. Not very big but fun collection of movie memorabilia.
A lot of amazing exhibits. Be careful of when you come. I went in the late spring and 3 of the exhibits were shut done for preparation for the summer.
Absolutely love the museum and the Marvel's exhibit. Looking forward to my next visit there.
Had an awesome time at the museum with my niece. She really enjoyed our day here...
History lesson for music art and tv audiences. Flashback to current times. Learned lots about seattle culture and the times.
Great place. If yoy like music and pop culture is perfect, i think that for our generation of 80's and 90's is better because we can enjoy a lot of things there. You can play instruments or you can see a design custums for movies, series, sci-fi and more.
Great experience with the family! The Marvel display was really cool.
Fun section about horror movies, other sections were give or take. Some sections you have to pay extra for
Not as cool as we thought. Pearl jam and Nirvana we're the main attractions
This place is rad as hell I always love going here. There so much to see and learn. Love music and sci-fi.
Great place! Lots of exhibits and tons of information from music, Marvel comics, Horror movies and games.
Yes Yes Yes Yes, who couldn't love this place for everything that it is
For the cost a little underwhelming. There is cool exhibits for sure but the cost makes it a bit much for the return on investment.
This is a good time of year to go. Their is a 31 days of horror exhibit on the bottom floor. It is an owed to horror flicks mainly the 70s-90s but their is props from movies as early as the fly and the latest would have to be Micheal Meyers seeing as though a new one comes out Oct 15th I think. It's worth going to see. Especially if you came up during the 70s-90s and you are a scary movie fanatic.
I volunteer here on the weekends and I simply love it
