Go there only if you are a fan of Nirvana or superheroes. Besides a boring display of items like musical instruments pictures and clothing pieces mostly by Gimi Hendrix and Nirvana.

Loved the Prince exhibit! Very interesting, I'll definitely go back.
We had an awesome day at the MoPop. And! The exibitions were hella cool!
This was not a "must do" on our list but I'm really happy we went. The exhibits are very well done and laid out. You can easily follow a structured path or simply wander. When here, we saw several installments including Horror, SciFi, Fantasy, as well as the Nirvana and Hendrix exhibits. There is this amazing video / dance space where music videos play at the largest size you have ever seen. The sound is great and seats are available. I bet 30 minutes passed watching Pharrell and Macklemore videos. If you are in the Seattle area, go here. You will not be disappointed. Oh and the architecture is amazing :)
Loved this place!!! So much to see, all the exhibits are carefully curated. The kids enjoyed the amazing playground outside. We spent all afternoon there and it was so worth it. Love Seattle!
Very nice museum of pop culture items. Very interesting collections and special exhibits can be spectacular as well
Fun, especially if you like sci-fi, fantasy, and such. The extra exhibit (with an $8 extra fee) was Marvel Super heroes. Mostly costumes and props, there were plenty of Instagram opportunities.
I did expect more generic tv, movies, and music. Cool place.
They had 27 years of Pearl Jam memorabilia. We were there for the Pearl Jam concert which made the experience even more amazing.
Have not been inside just dropped my daughter off for their prom building is cool though
I wanted to like the museum more. While there were some really great parts, like the sci-fi exhibit, there were downsides as well. It is a bit on the expensive side for adults to visit and, at least when I was there, was packed with kids. The sheer number of people present made it difficult to enjoy.
Got free tickets from Smithsonian magazine. My kids and I had a blast!!
Enjoyed the Jimi Hendrix exhibit. Pleased that they had a wheelchair to borrow for our visit.
Really expensive, but they have an incredible array of stuff. I loved the fantasy sci-fi and horror section. Don't bother eating at their cafe, theres better options all around.
A definite must see if you're into rock and roll history
This museum is totally worth the visit. We spent about 3 hours maneuvering fairly steadily through each exhibit. This museum covers a lot of pop culture from music to movies to video games. The museum is part of the City Pass which makes this value even more worth it!
Didnt go inside, its simply worth to drive here just to see the building. The metals and materials used for the walls are insane.
Makes for the best portraits.
Lots of fun for all. I loved the huge Nirvana exhibit! The sound booths were so much fun to play in too!
Visited from Louisiana and was blown away from the exhibits
Best museum I've visited so far! Spent the entire afternoon there and could have stayed a day! Great experience, amazing exhibits. Loved it
Great musem with lots to see at an affordable cost! Recommended!
Great exhibits and super food and service at Wolfgang"s
Omg we had some much fun here. If your in Seattle for a vacation, go here.
Very nice, complete and interesting museum. The Sound Lab is really a good stuff
Love this place so much. It entertained our group which had age ranges from 10 to 67. There was something for everyone!
If you like music (who doesn't?) this is a great place to spend an afternoon. There are so many creative and historic exhibits and artifacts. If you're a sci-fi fan, you must come here if you're in Seattle (currently Star Trek exhibit). And if you like architecture, this Frank Gehry building will be a must-see, since it is unlike any other structure in the U.S. It's not a cheap admission ticket, so you'll want to have enough time to make it worthwhile...
This place is AWESOME! If you love Pop Culture please take the time see to this place. The original props and costumes not only from classic movies but from musicians! I used my Seattle City Pass. One of my top destinations in Seattle. Highly recommended!
Even I didn't know most of the groups and movies presented in the museum( I am not as familiar with American pop culture being a foreigner), it was very fun. Very well taking care of building, super clean facility, cool interactive exhibitions.
I would love to see a museum dedicated to music with more beginner training exercises with music instruments like they have at Mopop. Bravo!
You can have fun and at the same time get knolleged a bout the Seattle musicians
Awesome marvel collection, not to forget the grunge scene
Always cool to see the artists memorabilia, the guitar mountain, and standing next to the Terminator!!
Really awesome museum if your into pop culture, music and geekery.
Couldn't afford to pay for the whole experience, just walked in on a wym and was pleasantly surpeised..
Nice place, high prices for many permanent exhibits. Take the monorail for an enhanced exterior experience of the architecture!
Fun way to spend a few hours. Really enjoyed seeing the original photos in the Nirvana display. Everyone loves Marvel.
A lot of Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix stuff but in my opinion there wasn't enough content to make a whole museum out of it and there were a lot of plaques to read off of. I wouldn't pay to read about this stuff when I can do that for free on Wikipedia
Definitely a one time visit, I think the price was kind of exorbitant but I was glad to see it. The horror section especially was great
People who come here come her because they want to be here. There s something interesting for everyone. The staff and volunteers are enthusiastic and genuinely excited about where they work. You re going to hear shrieks of delight from all ages from people seeing props and items from their favorite pop culture. The staff are kind and patient even when the rush of tourists comes in.
The curators do amazing work at designing the exhibits and they work with the fantastic architecture of the building to enhance their exhibits.
You may get lost. Don t worry. The staff and volunteers recognize the MoPOP directional confusion expression and are quick to help you out.
The MoPOP hosts events for those who need lower stimulation which includes lowering the bright lights, turning down the music and sound effects, and reducing major sources of distraction and overstimulation.
MoPOP truly lives up to its mission statement:
The Museum of Pop Culture s mission is to make creative expression a life-changing force by offering experiences that inspire and connect our communities.
They promote inquiry, curiosity, engagement, and community. Pop culture includes everyone and MoPOP is truly a worldwide connector.
I m proud to be a volunteer at the best museum in Seattle.
Awesome place! It is the paradise for Pearl Jam or Nirvana fans.
I have a membership and think it's worth it. I always bring family and friends here when they're visiting, there's usually a new section. Plus the member events they have are a ton of fun. The only thing I would ask for is more member events as they're pretty sparse at the moment.
I will say their campout cinema event is super fun and I definitely recommend it. Being able to lay on some blankets and look up at a movie while enjoying themed drinks and snacks is so much fun and I try to go as often as I can.
Who comes from the Middle Ages will love it. It's as if Jimmy Hendricks and Co. Risen again. But they have very few choices in the shops and it is very expensive.
If you love pop culture, it is a place that you need to visit, you will see information about sci-fi movies how it was make, some cool information about different sci-fi universes like star wars, star trek, doctor who, and others and some wonderful custome used by the actors in movies like Friday 13th, Terror in Elm st, and other, and no forget that during this day is the Marvel exhibition that show information about how the diffent Marvel superheros has been developed and changed through the time, you cannot missed it.
Awesome museum full of interesting exhibits on topics ranging from fantasy to sci-fi to horror to video games. Perfect place to take your favorite geek
Was even more fun than I thought it would be. Lots of cool exhibits, and interactive things. Had a great time!
Awesome place to see props from movies and learn about musicians.
Love seeing the exhibits, kids love the interactive exhibits.
The best museum ever! The fantasy, horror, and sci fi exhibits are amazing. Pearl jam, prince, nirvana and jimi hendrix are great music exhibits to see. Sound lab looked cool but too crowded to experience.
Wish you could pay to view certain exhibits. Overall though this place is pretty rad. Def go!
Not as much as i had hoped for, a lot of music related themes
Amazing. So much fun. Lots of unique exhibits and places to explore in there. One of my favorite places to go on a rainy day weekend!
We really enjoyed our time there. It can get pretty crowded especially in the sound lab but the playground behind it is amazing.
Such a cool place with a lot of history. Nirvana stuff was super interesting and creepy.
AMAZING place! I enjoyed the museum and all the nifty things inside. There was a Star Trek exhibit there at the time and it was an excellent gem to find!
Great museum. We had a lot of fun. It's nice to be able to go outside and come back whenever you want during the day.
Thos was great experience to say the less. A Seattle must!!!!!!
Extremely beautiful museum by Frank Gery ! Outstanding design and finish. I actually don t care much about what are exhibited but the building is breathtaking. Come and see how FG played with form, shape, material and lighting
The music and movie exhibits were awesome. So much fun playing in the sound studio as well.
We loved all of the music information and my granddaughter loved the horror film info
stunning view! didn't go inside and the little time spent outside was great
Awesome collection of American pop movie culture. Consider previewing the horror section before bringing in your young children.....great Marvel collection for a small extra admission fee.
Awesome museum!!! They have so many cool things to check out, if you love video games, movies, or music this place has hours of exhibits to explore. Easy to spend 3+ hours here and not see everything.
