Kids loved it. The marvel adventures were pretty cool too.
I went to the Marvel exhibit (and the others of course) the game room teaches you about smaller teams of game creators that have made big games, the sound studio has electric guitars (if you are a guitar player but dont have an electric guitar get a membership so you can come here often). The Marvel room has alot of when Marvel first started, it also explains why the Avengers were created.
Super cool museum. Lots of very interactive exhibits.
Loved it! Been waiting for years! It was well worth the wait! The Marvel exhibit is worth the extra 8 bucks! Wish we would've given ourselves more time! 3 hours wasnt enough for us...
Awesome! It was a great experience today. The Star Trek exhibition is stunning, Mick Rock's photos of David Bowie are breathtaking, the kids enjoyed video games - the entire family had fun
So many exhibits. So much on music. I will definitely be going back. (Hendrix, Nirvana, Prince... Sound studios. Video games.)
The Marvel exhibit is extra, but even without it there's a lot to see. My favorites were the horror exhibit and the Nirvana exhibit.
This place is Awesome! Former experience music project!
If you love music this place is the place for you. It's hard to miss this museum that's located by the space Needle in Seattle. The walk through has interactive activities while also providing information of the history of many artists along with many cool art pieces that you couldn't possibly miss.
Nice place to visit. Had a Microsoft sponsored music event, Star trek and modern wearable fashions on display. Need to check the current events Before you go. Fascinating architecture of the building itself.
Super interactive, makes history fun! Good for the whole family, three hours went by in a flash. We'll come back next time we're in Seattle!
Neat, but not a must see. There's some neat trinkets to see, but not much education or interesting things to learn. I'd do other things in Seattle, honestly.
One of the highlights was the free 10 minute sesh in a recording booth. Couple of mates and I made a song that was so bad that the free download literally could not be listened to. Another was the fantasy exhibition with a couple of Game of Thrones items. Pretty interesting overall though.
A lot of cool memorabilia to see, from Jimmy Hendrix's guitar to Gizmo the Mogwai.
Not what I was expecting but still was fun to see the Hollywood memorabilia. Wasn't a fan of the Queen exhibit though.
Every exhibit is fantastic, and the sound lab is so much fun!
The scared to death exhibit was top notch kids loved the indie games exhibit and the sound lab was excellent way to get a snippet of music creation
The Marvel exhibit was awesome. The number of movie artifacts was impressive. The Nirvana tour was a plus.
Had a fantastic time! I could have spent much more time here! My only complaint is the live rap performance that was so loud that it made me want to leave.
Interest in galleries of Media histories (Pop, Rock, and Film)
Very cool. Several pieces of music and cinema exposed. I stayed over 4 hours.
Great place to go. Alot of musical and pop culture history to be seen. My highlight, they have Eric Clapton's guitar called Brownie.
The Marvel exhibit is really interesting. The origins and history of how these characters were developed is quite amazing. Well worth exploring.
Lots of fun! As a Pearl Jam fan, I found their large Pearl Jam exhibit to be very interesting. Don't forget to stop by the Sound Lab on the 3rd floor and play some instruments!
If you like the bands Pearl Jam and Nirvana, you're in luck! Great exhibits about these bands. Unfortunately, the day I went, several of the coolest-looking exhibits were closed. I was not super impressed with the museum as a whole. IMO, there should be discounted tickets if major displays are closed.
So much to see. Go early and plan to spend a few hours roaming the different exhibits
I liked the feeling of this place. Each section had its own vibe.
Incredibly impressive exhibition of music and film-historical artifacts! Definitely worth a visit
Great exhibits. Enjoyed the interactive nature of everything. We definitely could have spent more time in there.
Had a really good time here! Lots of props/costumes from classic movies/shows that you'd know (Terminator, Star Wars, Star Treck Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, etc....). Appreciated learning more about Prince, Pearl Jam, and many more as well. The indie games exhibit and the Minecraft area were unique. Loved being able to play instruments while feeling like being in a studio as well. Cant forget the horror exhibit from all your Halloween time movies.
The best! It has a spectacular horror movies exhibition if you are a fan of the genre
IT'S FABULOUS !!!! Absolutely $ 30 I don't regret. Opens at 10 and with the sticker attached to the shirt you can enter and exit all day. To take a photo of the building, wait until you leave because it is whole. Always outside at the exit there is a park for children with very ganzissimi games. Super recommended !!!
Thank you to the staff (Emma) at MoPop for being so understanding and helpful with a ticket purchase..
I was a little skeptical before going to this museum. I came out excited. As far as pop music is concerned a very large part is devoted to Pearl James a famous band from Seattle, the children of the country somehow and it's amazing. Three levels in this museum: music, horror, fantasy, science fiction, etc. All this in a wonderful perimeter where the famous Space Needle tower and the Chihuly museum are located. A must see.
Eh. Not that great. We got the City Pass, and should've gone to the zoo instead.
Pretty cool place, though I think it could use more content and collections. The building is as much a display piece as the artifacts within.
I have been here twice on visits. Loved the entire experience. Visited during the star wars costume and marvel Exhibits both were awesome
The museum has a nice location being right next to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden making it easier for visitors to hit everything together in one day. I visited when the Star Wars wardrobe exhibit was there visiting. I am a fan so I really liked it. Check their official website to see what exhibits they have going on. They also had other cinema memorabilia along with a music and cartoon area. It's a good tourist or family spot to visit. I enjoyed my time there. You can spend a good hour or two here.
An impressive museum. It's exceptional for entertaining kids. The exhibits were fun but could be more informative for adults.
A little more depth and insight would be appreciated.
But again, very fun and the production value is top notch.
This was a really awesome museum. They have all sorts of movie used things. Some that I thought were really awesome were Sirius Black s robe, Thor s costume/hammer, the helmet from the French taunting guard in Monty Python, and Luke Skywalker s lightsaber and cut off hand. They had so much more though. They also have exhibits on bands and video games, and authentic objects from some of those exhibits too. I would really recommend coming here if you are in the city and making sure you pay the little bit extra to go see the marvel exhibit.
Excellently curated. I particularly enjoyed the horror and sci fi exhibits.
Love the Jimi Hendrix exhibit & wish that it was all music again. Though the presentation of Gizmo definitely fits the horror sci-fi bill.
A fusion of textures and myriad colors, MoPOP s exterior conveys all the energy and fluidity of music. Three-thousand panels, made up of 21 thousand individually cut and shaped stainless steel and painted aluminum shingles, encase the outside of the building. Their individual finishes respond to different light conditions and appear to change when viewed from different angles, reminding audiences that music and culture is constantly evolving.
Saw the superhero exhibit. Very fun museum. The newer displays are much higher quality than the original/older ones.
I love a good museum and this is a must stop! If you are in town you must add this to your list and it is right next door to the space needle.
Excellent value, had a family membership for years and use it the most.
What a great place! For kids and adults alike. Spent 2 hours there and would have definately come back if i lived in Seattle.
Super fun and always cool stuff to check out and see.
Not the most interesting. Check out the glass museum across the street instead.
A must see when in Seattle! Star Wars costume exhibition was awesome!
The Star Trek exhibit (as of December 2017) and the other sci-fi stuff were very nice and worth the visit. But there's not a lot more to see. So the ticket feels a little too expensive.

A very "Seattle" museum, full of exhibits about video games, music, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and movies. There are a variety of props and memorabilia in all of the exhibits, from original movie props to possessions of the bands being featured. The specific exhibits rotate, but they're always excellent. It's always worth checking out, but that goes double if the current featured exhibit really appeals to you.
Good exhibits of Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix and of course Nirvana. Wishrd they had an exhibit of Heart. Very good restruant..
It's a must if you go to Seattle. Stop reading reviews and go there!!!!
Houses some really interesting exhibits! definitely worth the visit!
This place is a must see! The Marvel, horror, and scifi exhibits were amazing! Blade, Alien, The Blair Witch Project, Jeeper Creepers, Director Who, Back to the Future, Star Wars, and The 5th Element all had costumes and/ or film props. Be sure to visit if your in the area.
The Marvel exhibit was amazing. Next time It's held, go check it out!
One of our favorite places to explore. Reccomend a membership if you are local.
Amazing! Great exhibits, great food, great everything!
This museum is really fun to visit. It is rather small, but there is a lot to do here. A few of the exhibits are interactive which makes it worthwhile.
