Absolutely horrible experience. Where do I even be...

Absolutely horrible experience. Where do I even begin. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have had a fairly normal healthy pregnancy so far but was having chest pains and very dizzy. Got taken in an ambulance and the emt gave me meds when i specifically said i didnt want anything. Then when we got there they had No idea where to taken me. Finally made it to my room. And was barely coherent and a woman called on the phone to check me in and then hung up on me. When I told the nurse she was rude she just said "yes. Sometimes they are" the emt kept telling everyone that i was 27 weeks pregnant and I kept trying to tell him I was 20 weeks pregnant and he ignored me. Then the ob came and yold me i was 26 weeks pregnant. By that time I was coherent enough to speak up and tell them I was 20 weeks. then i found out finally after my husband made it to my room that he tried 3 different times to find me and they said I wasn't even at the hospital. But he followed the ambulance there so he knew I was there. Then they were moving me back down to the er because they said the baby was fine. The nurse literally threw my bag of clothes at my husband. The woman who was in charge of taking me back down to the er had No idea where she was taking me and almost took me back outside and was going to leave me in the waiting room in the er. Meanwhile all I have on is a hospital gown. Then they kept messing my last name up. And had to change all my paper work and hospital band to the correct name. Then on top of all of this they take me to my "room" in the er. And it was a hallway. They left me sit naked in a hospital gown in the hallway in a wheel chair. It took over 30 minutes for someone to even come talk to me. I asked a woman for a blanket and it never came. By this point in time almost every person I came in contact with besides maybe 2 out of 10 were rude and had no idea what was going on. Then my mother tried to find me and they told her I wasn't at the hospital either. She had to call my husband to find out where we were in the er. Long story short and 4 hours later. There apparently is nothing wrong with me which I don't actually believe but whatever. I am so glad I did not plan on having my baby here. Only reason I went today there was because it was closer and a serious emergency. I'm really just disgusted. The lack of care or concern or urgency for a pregnant woman is appalling. Also just to add this when I first got there I gave a urine sample and apparently they lost it and after 4 hours and my sitting in the wheel chair cold and naked they asked for another one where I declined and said just send me home.

My stay at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg was great. I arrived through the emergency room and was admitted immediately due to my condition. My stay was only 2 nights and 3 days but the nurse that took care of me in the CCU was wonderful. The room was clean and the food tasted well. I was thankful to have the location near by for my family to be with me.

I wish I could give less stars but sadly I can't. We came for blood work, have been here for over 6 hours with no idea what is going on. They were putting the more important patients in front of us and we kept getting bumped back. My girlfriend is sitting in immense pain in the waiting room with an iv needle in her arm (which we have no idea why it's still in) just a terrible experience and I recommend a different hospital even if it's a few extra miles away, you will be glad you did.

Update: we had to leave because we gave up waiting, came to the frick location and got in within 5 minutes.

I wish I could give them a lower rating. The care here is a joke, ESPECIALLY in the ER. The nurses are rude, and the hospital is over crowded most of the time. I have never ever had a positive experience here (I've had multiple surgeries here and have been admitted a few times for sickness). I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was taken in after a car wreck, and I can swear to whomever that my family overheard the nurses talking loudly and even MAKING FUN of my husband and I. NOT OK!! They treated us so poorly that we got up and left even with injuries! I wish I was making this up. No one in the world, not even my worst enemy deserves to be treated the way we were the last time we were there. Unless its an absolute emergency avoid this place at all costs!

I will never come back. Not even if I collapse outside the building. I was having chest pain and I sat in the triage room for well over 45 mins before the incredibly rude nurse even addressed me. She was awful, rude, and snippy with me and my husband the entire time. She even told my husband to stop talking when he answered a question for me when I doubled over in pain. The PA was no better. She told me that if was there to seek pain pills I wouldnt be getting them. Ive never asked for pain meds from this place a day in my life. When my cardiac monitor showed I was having issues they finally realized I wasnt lying and then decided to treat me. At that point, I refused and asked to be discharged. My husband took me to a real hospital where I was actually treated.

My husband had surgery at Westmoreland Hospital by Dr. Geoffrey Joseph a general surgeon the beginning of March. The experience was fantastic. He never had surgery before and the nurses in the prep room were fantastic. He was nervous and I was running late. They did a great job of calming him until I got there. Dr. Joseph was fantastic and updated me via phone as soon as his surgery was completed. I would highly recommend Dr. Joseph and Westmoreland Hospital to anyone in the future! It was a great experience!

If you don't want any treatment, any communication on what is going on, and enjoy sitting in a room for hours, then this is the hospital for you! This place was an absolute joke. I understand that the medical field is difficult and they are often short staff, but that's every hospital I have ever been to, and I've never been as upset or disgusted as I am now. Please, if your going to a hospital find another one, especially if it's something critical.

The nurses are over worked and understaffed. Half of the equipment doesn't work or no one knows how to operate properly. Patients are treated like meat sacks with the only consideration given the insurance companies paying the bill. The administrators should be beaten within an inch of their lives and forced to undergo the grossly sub-standard care their own hospital provides. This is NOT a place of healing, but rather a gateway to DEATH! Perhaps it should be renamed Dachau, at least then people would be forewarned. If you have resources go to any other facility, hopefully one with a well paid and caring staff. FYI - This is not a 'one-time' rant from a dissatisfied customer, it is a concise review by a patient with 40 years continuing abuse by this facility.

I had lung surgery this past June and I must say that the care I received there was excellent. The staff was kind and helpful and took care of my every need during the recovery time spent in the hospital. I had to make two emergency visits to the hospital before my surgery and the ER staff were caring and knowledgeable. I would give the hospital a 10 when it comes to the care I received there.

I had surgery on my ankle last year at greensburg westmoreland hospital. From the time I walked in the door I was treated with most compassionate care. the nurses and staff made sure I was comfortable and answered all of my questions they were friendly and prompt. I could not have had a better experience !!! Thank you excela for your wonderful care!

This is the absolute worst place to take a loved one. My son who is disabled went in for a 15 minute procedure 9 hours later we returned home. I couldn't get a answer about what the problem was (3 people telling me 3 different stories) so I demanded a answer so they sent in the security guards what a laugh. This place should be shut down they are NO GOOD. Go to a vet a vet will treat you like a human and you have a good chance of surviving. If your loved one is disabled stay with them no matter what they say, they are not nice at all. They think by doing all the remolding that it will change their image it won't. You can put a dress on a pig but it's still a pig!! This place is disgusting.

Worst hospital ever. Have to go to ER for blood work. Sit for 3 hours with no communication. Page nurse for over an hour. Hear her paged over intercom twice. When she finally shows up, she said no one told her that we wanted her. She proceeded to blame someone else who walked back in. I asked who was really to blame at which point I finally got a half hearted apology. I am never going back. Will see witch doctor for leech therapy first.

I had a very good experience when I had a very scary and unforeseen cardiac episode. From the ER to the Cath Lab and the nurses who cared for me afterwards in the cardiac intensive care and of course my doctor, they were all very kind and supportive when I really need it. Sometimes we don't appreciate how fortunate we are to have such a facility this close in our area but now I know I do!

They use a template letter in response to any complaint. It is not genuine concern. I got a response letter in the mail that has the same verbiage that I see on this site. I'm going somewhere where the medical standards are higher.

Nice people. Hospitals ok.other than someone thought it would be a good idea to do contruction above the baby ward. That person in charge of that should resign. Throughout the night you cant sleep due to them rolling what sounds like a coal cart acrossed the floor. The subway however inside of it...young kids working their that lack cuatomer service and its dirty. I found a moth in my sandwich because the spinach wasnt cleaned. Gross.

Without a doubt a professional place. Everyone of the staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. The only thing that matched the friendly staff was how overworked and understaffed they all were. I understand an ER is a fast-pace place, but a 6 hour trip to the ER is pretty excessive. It wasn't laziness, or lack of communication, it is very simply - a lack of workers. If you're in a hurry, go somewhere else. Gave 4 stars because the staff deserve 5 but whoever runs the place deserve 0, and I tried to break up the 1-5 dichotomy.

I cant speak for everyone & this review is for the emergency department and the doctor and nurse I had this day but from the minute i walked in the triage nurse was great, my doctor & my nurse were the best I ever had! They were honestly concerned about me, and they were both willing to help any way i needed them to.

Worst hospital ever!!! We sat 4 1/2 hours for an xray and results. No one ever told us anything, so we left. Because of this hospital my bf is now in UPMC mercy hospital with blood clots in his lungs. This hospital has NOT heard the last of me!!!

This hospital is absolutely terrible I would never recommend taking any love ones here. My grandfather was in here with stage four cancer and the nurses were treating him terribly. At one point the nurse was making him beg for water telling him say please Lou say please I can t give it to you unless you say please This is no way to treat a person who is in severe pain going through chemotherapy and radiation no matter what the circumstance. My grandfather passed away two days ago after being transported to UPMC east where they did their best to recover him after the terrible problems that were causing Excella Health Hospital, Including the pneumonia that he caught... as well as other infections because of the poor service and cleanliness of the hospital and administration. I would never recommend anybody to take their family members here or go there themselves please listen to my review!

They sent him home with pneumonia if I didn t contact UPMC east they wouldn t have put him in the intensive care unit it was my decision to put him there.

If you read below in these reviews six months ago, someone had a very similar situation. Very sad Excella, very sad!

I had my gallbladder removed and ended up getting C. Diff from the hospital. Was sick with it for over 6 months and couldn't work or do anything for that matter. Heard that it's a huge problem at Westmoreland Hospital! Also, the night I went to ER with horrible pains and nausea because of gallstones, it took THREE hours to even get treated. The staff could have cared less how much pain I was in.

I was struck in the face with a metal pipe in my basement and got cut right by my eye. I went to the ER where I spent 3 hours for it to never be cleaned bandaged or even get an ice pack for the swelling. During my time there 4-5 people were admitted, so I don't think that is a very busy time. 3 staff members took notes that my tetnis was out of date, yet I never got a new one. When I was released I was basically told to get out. Not being able to see made it difficult and not knowing how to get to an exit was very frustrating.

Don't ever go there unless you want to die.

I hope they fired the guy who delivers meds to the 4th Floor! Im assuming my room was where the other patients meds were locked up, not sure, but I know mine were locked in there! Never experienced being around someone that was so very unprofessional by banging on your door at 3 or 4am while I was sleeping, and then leaving the door opened upon leaving so that all the light and noise and his loud voice can be heard from the hallway!! And then making a joke out of it! I am serious when he would bang those bottled meds, that were in a bag, on the metal lockers were the meds are kept, it sounded like a gunfire! That 4th floor is out of control! Who does that? Especially in a hospital???? This was two years ago a d it still angers me how I was treated so badly except for the nurses, from another department, that took my blood in very early morning, Too many bad memories there.

I had tests done both at Frick and Westmoreland recently. The staff appeared overworked, but had good attitudes. My problem with this "non-profit" hospital was when I dealt with the billing department. When I attempted to make payment arrangements, I was TOLD that I needed to pay a minimum of $160 per month or my bills would be sent to a collection agency. When I told the "customer service" person that they may as well send the bills ASAP to the collection agency so that I could make arrangements to pay what I could afford per month, she got quiet and said that I would need to apply for welfare and after I was turned down by them because I didn't qualify, I could call her back and ask that a financial assistance form (from the hospital) be sent to me so I could apply for that.

Why don't they want to take reasonable payments? Since $50 - $60 per month is what I can afford to pay at the present time, Excela Health should be more than happy to accept it. It's not like it's a huge amount that I owe (under $2,000) and yet they would rather sent my account to a collection agency.

Next time I am injured, I'll go to a REAL hospital that won't refuse to take payments from me! I know better than to be admitted to this hospital and now I'm sure that I don't need to have any tests done here either. If I could give them "no stars" for customer service, I would.

NOTHING has changed in 3 years...took my mother to the ER because she had fallen. They kept her overnight for observation & called me that evening to say that she was being released. REALLY?? When I arrived to pick her up she couldn't stand or walk, her words were slurry but , hey, the hospital said that she could resume her normal activities without restriction.

Treated terribly by staff. Was in excruciating pain due to a bladder issue and they refused to give any pain medicine. When asked why they just couldn t give an answer. This is how you make people turn to the streets to treat their pain. The opioid epidemic is at its worst now because nobody will prescribe any. If you just wrote the prescription nobody would have to turn to the streets and less people would die. This hospital is horrible I will never go to another Excela anything for the rest of my life!

Terrible experience! Visited a family member who was in the ICU today and because we could only go up one at a time, remaining family waited in the hospital lobby. That is absolutely fine. What was not fine was the fact that others in the lobby were not wearing face masks! This is a hospital. We tried to go outside, but it was raining. We couldn't believe that the hospital would not enforce CDC guidelines. Just awful.

A family member was admitted to Westmoreland hospital. We didn't monitor everyone was wearing masks and taking major precautions, however only one visitor per patient at a time so the other member of the family had to sit in the main lobby. This was not really a problem however over the several days that we were here we did notice that the staff that assisted visitors in registering to see a patient we're very polite and kind. Our major concern was the covid 19 and that the waiting area in the main lobby was never wiped down the chairs are never wiped off . Everyone was cautious and yet the facility itself did not provide a clean waiting area for family members. This was not over several hours this was over several days so we do have some concern with that and would like to see that addressed by administration of Westmoreland hospital.

They miss-diagnoses me with pneumonia, gave me one of the crappiest ineffective antibiotics to treat it. (It ended up being stage 4 cancer not pneumonia)... my nurse was rude, and they treated me like I was overreacting about my symptoms. There was literal garbage on the floor of the ER room I was placed in. I was obviously VERY ill and came in in the middle of the night due to very serious symptoms that needed to be examined. Never offered me a pillow, or a blanket, or to even put my cot down in a lying position. So I had to spend the night curled up in a ball using my hoodie as a pillow, with my nurse occasionally coming in to wake me up for literally no reason. Only to be miss-diagnosed in the morning and then sent on my way.

These people are not very friendly and its difficult to see a real doctor in here. More likely to see a CRNP. that can't write for a controlled substance (less schooling). If you break a bone and are in pain I would suggest Forbes Regional Hospital. In Monroeville you are more likely to see a real medical professional! All too often Excella has treated me right in the waiting room and charged me $957 to tell me "it needs casted take Tylenol and Motrin."

I cannot say enough about the staff. I had surgery here and the entire staff was beyond AMAZING!!! Dr. Nolfi is so Kind, Caring, Compassionate, Gentle and Wonderful ! The staff in each section were so very Compassionate, Sweet, Kind, Caring and Helpful ! My first time going under anesthesia and I am so thankful for them. I highly recommend Dr. Nolfi and this Hospital as well as Excela Norwin & Excela Greensburg. Every single person I encountered at each place were Outstanding and Wonderful !!!

Literally sat myself in the lobby for 6 hours...with people who had claimed to have sat there for 8. Point is "emergency room" thats slower than a general clinic? Theres no nearby vending or cafeteria. Just hours of hell in a single room. This hospital is the place for you if you are willing to kill your entire days worth of plans to just be seen. And then kill half of the next day while you sit in a room because the nurses are "not informed you were waiting on them" hospitals should be rand to help people Not like a business.

I will go to the Doctor that takes care of Charley my golden retriever before I go back to Excela Health the only reason I am giving two stars and not one is because the nurse that took care of me was a real dear super person. The whole staff from the CEO down needs replaced anything that bad has to come from the top down. I was misdiagnosed had long wait times and only one nice nurse in the whole place including the doctors that have no clue . your bothering everyone there when you talk to them

After taking my neighbor in for a fever at 11pm, no care was givin or attention shown after 2am, at 4.15 I called and the nurse giggled and hung up on me. Slow, uncaring and the desk clerks at the ER are the only people who seem to care. I wouldnt expect any type of service here. Worst ever. Set your own broken bones if thats the type of care expected. There should be a zero rating for this group of lazy, uncaring, holier-than-thou people. Complaints wont help. Theyll just laugh about it like the nurse laughed at me

Michelle Lewis on 4th floor of the hospital manager I might add is disresoecful to all patients and staff and needs fired. She woke up a sleeping patient And took the chair from the person who was sleeping on it. Said she would bring another one but when asked about the chair she started to yell and slam doors. My family and friends will never go to this hospital if there is staff that doesn't no how to do there job in a respectful way. So that's the reason why I give only one star. Change the problem and ill give you more.

The first time in years I've been to the doctors or hospital, I went to westmoreland. It was awful and I will never be back. I started with a 5 hour wait in the waiting room and when I finally saw a doctor I was treated with disrespect on several occasions. I was accused of faking my symptoms several times and finally sent home with a UTI and an antibiotic. Within 24 hours I was rushed to Forbes Hospital (where everyone and everything was wonderful) by ambulance. I was admitted to the hospital for a week with a diagnosis of sepsis that required IV antibiotic. According to Forbes, they discovered the sepsis in the bloodwork that was run at westmoreland and yet after trying to discuss the er bill that westmoreland sent to me they claim their treatment of the symptoms presented at that time was correct. Being sent home with a deadly disease does not sound correct to me. If you want to live, again - STAY AWAY. Neither I nor my family will ever return to this hospital.

Will never come back here again. Every time we are here there is never enough rooms and we have to wait 4 hours or more. And it's not even busy in the emergency room!!! Build more rooms excela health you have the money to do so! No one should have to wait this long for treatment especially the elderly and children. I will never be back here again. I will drive the extra time it takes to go to UPMC east or Forbes.

I (unfortunately and unexpectedly) had to go to the Emergency department and my first choice was Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. The wait was a bit long, but I expected that for excellent care. The nurse and doctor were attentive and caring. I was afraid, but I left knowing that they would work with me, follow up, and that everything would be okay. This was the best experience for a first visit to the emergency department and I am grateful to the staff for the amazing care.

This is a great hospital if you like being forgotten in your room. Was told about x-ray results and that discharge papers were coming soon. I didn't know "soon" was over 4 hours. Were the only ones in our entire hall and not a nurse, let alone doctor in sight for hours! if I had known this, I would have driven the hour out of the way to go the Children's. Probably be home by now. I only regret that I had to give this place 1 star.. it certainly deserves less.

My husband was on the third floor- room 334 over the weekend and the nurses were the worst either one of us had ever had to deal with. I called Saturday morning and requested to speak to his nurse. She was busy and I was told she would call me back. I went in at 1:00 and still hadn t heard from his nurse Sam. She thought it was quite funny when I told her she didn t have to return my call from that morning because I was there now. Unacceptable. Sunday morning, he requested ice water. Ice water!! After 35 minutes the dietary lady came in to get his menu and he asked her. She got him fresh ice water. After 45 minutes, a nurse ( I think, she never introduced herself) came in with water and took his sugar. ( he s type 2). Of course it was running high when he was not offered any diet drinks despite him telling them he s diabetic. She said his sugar was 298 and the nurse would be in with insulin. I was there for another 45 minutes and never saw the nurse. Every day they would forget a pill and say oh I forgot a pill and it would take sometimes an hour to get the pill. But one thing he did say about the nurses was that they sure
sounded like they had a great time laughing in the hallways.
When he was on 6th floor, his nurse Steve was great. Very attentive, helpful and did return my call in a timely manner. Too bad all your nurses were not as good a nurse as he was.
Then to boot, you can t even leave feedback on their website. It kicks it out.
So do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This hospital is a joke. My boyfriend has been in severe pain and decided it was time to come into the hospital. We found out the problem but because he has no insurance they didn't really care to treat him like his condition was important to them. Now he is ten times worse. I'm appuled! I think it's inhuman to treat someone different because they don't have insurance. If he gets worse and can't walk I will be talking to a lawyer cause this is uncalled for!! It's sad when a grown man is crawling around grunting and doesn't want to go back to the hospital because they don't treat him like him problems matter .we have 3 kids to feed and he is a working man who csnt even get into bed right now cause his pain... You have put us in a position where we have to find ways to feed our kids cause these doctors don't wanna take people seriously until there laying there on there death bed. Tomorrow I will be calling a laywer.

There was an RN here and I went up to her to try and get ice for my mother and her first thing to say to me is "What do you want" I'm pretty sure that's not how your supposed to respond to someone whose loved one is ill. She said she would get someone to get it for her and it has now been 20 minutes since that everything is moving very slow which isn't good especially since my mom was throwing up some blood. This is one if the reasons why my grandmother almost died because of the lack of concern. The name of the RN is Bobbi from what I could see she tried to hide her name tag from me.

Mental Health department is horrible. The staff have no communication. psychiatrist Doctor Arul is rude and does not listen to her patients so she isn't helpful at all. I have never had any mental health worker be so mean to me. She has no compassion and I dont understand why they keep her. (My therapist warned me about her when I was assigned to her. There shouldn't be any doctor that patients need to be warned about, especially in mental health) Truly terrible place, find somewhere else

I took my husband here tonight for SEVERE tooth pain, he was in agony, even the lady at check in pushed us through faster because she saw the amount of pain he was in. When the doctor on call came in she decided that prescribing him Motrin was the right thing to do, I kindly explained to her that he took about 20 Motrin pills for last 5 hours and that did nothing, I told her he needed real medications for pain but unfortunately because there are people that abuse these drugs, other people that need it have to suffer.. they should train there doctors better because just by checking his information they could see he was never prescribed pain meds in the past and really needed help. From now on we will ask for more experienced doctor, she was a very heavy set blond so if you get her you will go home still in pain!

I honestly can't review the actual doctors or treatment because i never even got that far. I had come in when I was 2 months pregnant with bleeding and horrible cramps. The lady at the desk took my info (with absolutely no urgency, she couldn't be bothered) gave me my ticket, and sent me to sit down. In a room of only 6 people, I sat there for over an hour and a half. Ive never had to wait so long to be seen in an emergency room. The wait added to all the negative things I've heard about this place made me decide to just leave and go somewhere else.

Was at this hospital emergency room I along with other people think this is a very poorly run hospital along with incompetent Drs and physican asst in er all they think about is there self's and the money there paid for piss poor service don't try talking to supervisors they side with there own people if you go here for any kind of discomfort they treat you like a drug addict which is what I think they are that's why there so bad if I could give 0 stars I would my mom died at this hospital due to there incompetence any hospital will probably treat you better

Labor and delivery was great for both of my pregnancies. I also had a surgery 7 years ago and my daughter had a surgery about 8 years ago so the surgical and medical surgical departments were good back then. But that was some time ago. Now this week I'm on the med surg floor being treated for influenza B and pneumonia. I think the care is great. The ER took me very seriously. The PA, staff, and nurses I had down there were attentive and were hustling a busy triage area. Up on the med surg floor - floor 3 I'm on now, I really have enjoyed my nurses Audrey, Lindsey, Melissa, and Shania. All the staff are good at their jobs that I've seen so far. The X-ray dept and ultrasound department both treated me well. My isolation room is very clean and the bathroom is very nice. The hot breakfast items aren't too great as well as just some not so nice personalities but those are little things that took off a star.

It is my hospital of choice if I have a choice. Wonderful people & wonderful services. Second choice would be their Norwin facilities. That it's where my Dr. Sveety used to be. He saved & changed my life. Wish he was still here. But I guess heaven needed him

I just read the other reviews & I am astonished with these people's treatment. I have had testing both bloodwork, heart related testing & one ER visit followed by admission. I agree they are way understaffed in all departments from the lab to the ER BUT I WAS still treated with care & respect.

I'm so sorry everyone was treated so horribly. There was one thing that bothered me while I was admitted though. Another patient needed a gluten free diet & the nurse didn't know what to order them. Luckily for them my daughter & I both have Celiac Disease & I helped the nurse. If it had been an aide maybe I could understand her not knowing but a nurse???

Other then that i have only had good treatment.

Terrible experience if it was possible to give no stars I would. I went to have blood work for my pregnancy that included glucose and a rhogram shot. It toke over 3 hours. No one had a clue what was going on. I had my blood drawn twice because they weren't aware of what needed done. I tried to get someone's attention but no one was ever at the nurse station. It is seriously making me consider having my delivery here. If I am in pain how am I even going to get anyone's attention.

I just gave birth to my son here on monday. I was very nervous going here only having one other child who i delivered at magee. I was worried about a smaller less "famous" hospital would not have the staff and accommodations of a larger one. Boy was i wrong! Some people shouldn't be nurses. There's always that "one"... not here. These women went so far above and beyond it amazes me. Everyone seemed to genuinely care. They weren't some lady putting in her hours...they all instantly become your mom, your best friend, your sister. I cant thank these women enough for making sure one of the best times of my life was shared with some of the best people ill ever meet.

NO STARS!!!. I cant believe this place. It is horrible!! DO NOT GO HERE. My father was seen in the ER for Pneumonia on Friday and they sent him home. Was back in the ER on Saturday because of aFib because of the high dose of steroids and then was admitted. Today is Tuesday and his Doctor sees him this morning and said to him "I didn't know you had pneumonia". Three days in the hospital telling them he cant sleep and cant breath and his ribs hurt and not one dose of medicine for pneumonia. Are you kidding me? My Dad is 80. He could have died because of this mistake. Never again to this hell hole!!

I have been sick off and on for years having to go to the ER several times and I really wish I had more options outside of excels heath. Often having to go to the ER for help because I have had extreme stomach pain and been unable to keep anything down. Sometimes the doctors are really amazing!!! But doctor peoples should get a new name. Every single time I have him he treats me like trash!!! He really should be fired because thankfully I decided to go to a different hospital and I finally got a diagnosis. I can't even begin to spell it sadly it can't be treated nothing can fix it but the doctor told me it would continue to lead me to have to go to the emergency room. And be admitted till I can keep food down again. I also had a hernia! They also some how missed the 3 cancerous lumps in my throat that this hospital found and now I'll be off to get treated for that. But I hope someone teaches Dr people that he shouldn't just judge people and treat people as he would want to be treated or want his family to be treated. I could go on forever about how terrible Westmoreland and trick is but one thing at a time. Advice to others if you can avoid these hospitals and make it to upmc east. Go. It's worth the trip!!!
