Excel Partners is a great place to find temporary to permanent employment. I went to Excel roughly four years ago for a temp to perm job. They found me a job in a few weeks. The temp position ended but Tara Kiniry did not forget about me. When, another assignment came up she quickly contacted me. I went and interviewed for the assignment. I worked for that company for three months. The same company called Excel Partners again and requested me. I have been temping for the same company for almost a year now.

Very professional and helpful staff! When I came to Excel Partners almost 10 years ago, I had just taken a year off of working to take care of my son and hadn't finished my Bachelor's degree, so it was becoming more difficult to find a position with reasonable pay with the limited experience and education, which is why I went to a temp agency. I had tried other temp agencies, but wasn't satisfied with the customer service or the assignments, so I decided to try out Excel Partners which came recommended to me by a friend. My recruiter at the time was Tara Kiniry, who is now AVP. Tara and her staff were instrumental in my growth and helped me prepare for my interviews and freshen up on my Microsoft skills. One of my first assignments was a temp-perm position which became permanent. I stayed with that company for almost 5 years before moving on to greater opportunities. I was fortunate to have landed in a company with extremely supportive bosses, who worked with me on my schedule which allowed me to return to school and complete my Bachelor's degree. A must if you are looking for a terrific regional agency! I was skeptical about the ability of a smaller firm. Big mistake! They have been remarkable in presenting roles, quick in responding to my queries and concerns, and extremely helpful. Erica recruited me and I only regret not considering Excel Partners sooner. The attention and diligence they devote to the person-job-culture fit is a unlike any I've experienced. National firms seem too focused on quantity of placements, rather than quality. Excel has proven dedicated to the appropriateness of the talent to the job, and the Client. And, I've heard nothing but good things about Excel, from the Clients I've spoken to, and that is why Excel has such a great reputation, in the region.

The team at Excel Partners gets it. They take into account hard and soft skills, in placements. I was once presented with a role that just did not seem sustainable. I was told that my resume would only be presented if I was truly committed. I wasn't. A large recruiter would have noted that I turned down a role, and penalized me, by not presenting other opportunities. Not so, with Excel. Erica called me a short time, later, with a placement that is absolutely ideal, with a great group of people!

He had a contract role for me within hours of talking/meeting. Unfortunately, I was in the final stages of negotiations with a permanent full time role. Unfortunately my experience was so extravagant. I was lied to and to top it off I received a nasty phone call from the women whom I was working with. Still have yet to receive a call back from the manager in which I left a message for. No I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Nick Devito was a giant help to me in my job search. Working with him, I found a position at a top hedge fund within a month. He was great at keeping contact with the company and mentoring me from initial job search to acceptance.

I got a call from them, and the person who asked to speak with me was rude from the begining. She asked me if I was still looking for a job and I answered no. She rudly replied, " WELL, then you should probably take your resume off monster then." Excuse me? I might not be looking but if I know someone who is I will sure know not to send them your way.

I recently started exploring roles externally, and thought working with a recruiter would help me optimize my searches. I had worked with Excel P before, didn't really land a role, but nonetheless was appreciative of the efforts and the relationships I built with Erica R. and Kim S. This time around I worked with a Molly M, who has messaged me several times before re: whether or not I was open to roles. As I finally accommodated, i don't think she handled my candidacy well at all. First, no pleasantries via email at all. Her tone during our call wasn't great and she had zero enthusiasm or interest. I got a very task-oriented recruiter who simply wanted to get through the conversation. While i appreciate the efficiency, i don't think it's a great way to treat a candidate who could potentially get hired through her or her firm. Next, she asked for another version of my resume. When i asked why, i got vague and sarcastic remarks. So I asked her to be more explicit as i was willing to edit whatever i needed to get my resume to a good place. So we came to an agreement and she promised to send a job description right after. I had to remind her coz she forgot, which was fine because she said it was a busy morning. Then i wrote her a note saying, while im interested in exploring the role, Id like to first get on a call with the employer vs. meet in person due to the Covid outbreak, which at this point was worsening, and called for people to distance themselves socially. Molly didn't respond and when i followed up re: my resume and my note, she said, " they'll want to meet in person, but if you're not comfortable, i understand." That was it. I asked if she had suggestions, and if she talked to them already about the concerns, and if i could re-apply in 1 to 2 weeks after the situation hopefully dissipates. Again, not a care in the world but a two liner "blah" of an email. I wrote back to let her know she wasn't helpful. I am a professional with a background in a well-respected investment firm. I'm not a difficult person but i do believe in treating others with mutual respect and professionalism. If i was a recruiter with a worthy candidate at hand and a pandemic type threat in the rise, I would have handled things more delicately and creatively, vs. blatantly showing i did not care at all. I hope this never happens to anyone else who is sincerely looking for a job.

Very unprofessional. I was called about a position and was told to call back to schedule a time for appointment. I called literally 10 mins after the recruiter called me to give my reply and was sent to voice mail. I tried to contact directly with the recruiter several times VIA their direct number from e-mail (which I might add was full of typos, completely unprofessional, especially for a position that required accuracy for data and information) and e-mails. I called the office and asked to talk to the recruiter and was directed straight to the voice mail again. Leaving a message on the voice mail obviously didn't work. Avoid them if you don't want to waste your time.
