Was seated and proceeded to watch 3 other party's that came in after us get drink orders taken and bread brought out and orders taken. We continued to wait and after 15 min. without a waitress even acknowledging us, we walked out. I guess we were invisible.

Way too expensive $90 breakfast for 4 people. Nope, we didn't order too much-none of us weights more than 155lbs so we don't eat much. Food can be better too. Suggestion - you are better of buying little hiking stove and making your own eggs.

My first time experience I must say the service was very exceptional and I will return back the employees were friendly the food was great unable to finish had to box some of it but overall my first experience was great

Be careful what you order, I got TERRIBLE food poisoning from this place after having a late dinner there!!! Not to mention, paying top dollar for the food!! Now, any Diner I go to I will only get breakfast foods. Maybe they have changed cooks since then, but that was one of the worste experiences of my life and I will never forget it. It made me so afraid of eating out anywhere especially diners.

I used to like this place, but it's gotten really bad. Tonight was my last visit. I ordered a N.Y.strip which was my first mistake. It finally came over an hour later and looked like a piece of Swiss cheese and I couldn't cut through it with the steak knife. I told the waitress who told me they use a tenderizer tool on it. (I wish I would be snapped a pic of this thing) it was disgusting!!! She left me sitting there for 10 mins. So I finally got up to find her. I asked if I could order an egg sandwich to go. She was rude saying that i said i didnt want anything ..which is not what i said. I said i didnt want to wait a another hour.
The woman manager came over after 20 mins and tried to explain away the steak as well saying they use a mallet on it. And that's how to prepare a steak. (I've cooked many steaks and never used a mallet or tenderizer). She didn't apologize or try to fix anything, basically acted like she didn't care. Needless to say it took a half hour to finally get out of there and she charged me for the sides that came with the steak. ($7) plus the pork roll and egg sandwich that had 1 piece of porkroll on it. I understand things happen, but to be treated so badly when we go 3 timea a month!!! I will never go back to this place. Service and food is horrible. Rt. 1 diner just got a new customer.

Me and my daughter had lunch there she had the pancakes and I had a lunch special, Veal parm and spaghetti. It comes with soup or salad and dessert. It's a good deal and the service was good too.

Come here very often because of job,q lot of times their food makes me bloated and I was never impressed with any of their dishes.

Love! Never a bad experience...me and my bestie eat here at least twice a month or once every other month. Not a bad experience and it is always reasonably priced and very close to our homes...win win...

A classic new jersey diner that serves great food 24/7. No boxes or powders here, everything is prepared from fresh ingredients.

Excellent service! Typical diner food with vast selection. The soups that came with a meal were hearty and delicious.

This is my son's account but wanted to post so I am using it! Never did rhis before but here goes....I wanted to eat out with my family tonight. Went to The New Ewing Diner. Greeted immediately, served right away, friendly, helpful staff and very clean. Our waitress, Shasta was sweet, kind and super prompt with getting to us, serving us, keeping all our drinks refilled, bringing the check, offering desserts etc. Very attentive but not intrusive. Wish it was a little less expensive so we could go more often!

We're regulars here. The staff know our son's name and go out of their way to be kind and helpful. The food is fantastic, especially the omelets and sandwiches.

I've been coming here for years when I lived here and when I visit friends now. Great food friendly staff.

From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we'd made a poor choice.
The hostess was off chatting when we entered, so we waited at the front door a while. She glanced over at us a few times, but finished her conversation with a waitress before coming over to seat us.
The table was dirty and there were rips in the seat.
Our waitress showed up around 5 minutes later to ask if we wanted coffee. I guess she realized we'd been there a while because she asked if we were ready to order, too.
I ordered 2 eggs with bacon and was told I had to order 3. When I said I only wanted 2, she spat out, "well, you're going to be charged for 3!", so I changed my order to 1egg with bacon.
The food was mediocre. Usually I reason, how bad can diner food be? At this place, it's pretty bad.
The waitress did come by once to refill our coffee. Gotta give her that.
The food we had was overpriced for what we got. Not the usual diner portions or quality.
The only good thing I can say is the bussing service was quick and efficient. The bus boys seemed to be the only workers who moved faster than a snail's pace.
One final annoyance, the bathroom door takes a body builder to open it. Push with your back to it to save yourself some muscle soreness lol

Always have great service. We've been there many times for breakfast only. The food has always been very good, large portions. Prices are pretty good and menu selection is huge.

So many items on the menu. Breakfast is fantastic. And you won't believe the selection of cakes, pies and cookies. Our waitress was amazing too.

They are so high price I rather go to Pat's diner on South broad Street Trenton New Jersey great food great prices and a good atmosphere

Food a service was good but the night manger is rude to customer.

They offer usual diner food, plus some extras. The menu has an entire page of omelettes.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My son and I were rudely seated after the greeter tossed our menus on the table. After waiting 10 mins, we were finally given water after a white couple sitting next to us were given water immediately. The white couple was waited on immediately upon walking in and they told their waitress that we were here before them and she just turned her back and proceeded to take their order. They obviously have a problem with African Americans since we were the only black ppl there so I'm sure they don't want our money. If you're BLACK....DO NOT GO TO THIS DINER! THEY ARE RACIST/PREJUDICE!

They served me old complementary mold smelling breads. Disgusting!!!. It was a table of 6. We weren't happy. It took a whole hour to be served on this Mother's Day.

Had to sit outside due to corona virus 19 but was very happy. Waitress was friendly and quick .Food was good well portioned took alot home for tomorrow's breakfast.Sat under a tent everyone was 6 foot apart waitresses wore mask. There was plenty of parking about 15 tables outside so no long wait

The spinach was so salty I couldn't eat it. The menu is very expensive. 18.99 for a salad is outrageous or 17.00 for 5 pieces of shrimp cocktail. Anyway, they have a nice early bird menu, I chose to eat that. The bread came with margarine, I almost died. Anyway, our waitress was super nice!

I'm in search of the best Belgian waffle special (waffle, coffee/tea, small juice and side of meat) - and this place didnt have this combo on the menu as a special. They did have a Belgian Waffle and steak combo but that was not what I was seeking. I got just the waffle and a side of bacon and some hot tea (which I usually order instead of coffee). No juice. It was over $13 - which seems a bit pricey. Bacon was really dry and the waffle was on the smaller size. Service was good - prompt, friendly and responsive to my requests. Place was relatively clean and well organized.

Great soups and other foods. A bit salty, but nonetheless great. You get what you pay for, and it's cheap considering the quality of the food.

When my sis got into TCNJ, we picked this as our go-to place. We come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their waitstaff is always friendly and attentive. Their food is dependably tasty and fresh. And the prices are reasonable. Plus, take a look at those baked goods! Damn, Daniel.

I enjoyed the food it was pretty good, A little pricier than most places I go to but I would still say it was worth it. Service could have been a little bit better, but I'd eat here again.

My sister an I eat there frequently an enjoy it. But yesterday 3/19/2019 we had lunch also ordered a take out dinner no problem with the food now desert was very disappointing ( oreo cake, banana cream cake, an coconut cake) all went in the trash not sure if the Baker was changed but very disappointing

Typical NJ Diner with a vast menu with plenty of choices for all tastes. Daily specials and allergy sensitive options.
Prices are a little steep in comparison to similar establishments however the quality and quantity are generally better as well.
Owner is usually on site chatting with patrons. Very attentive and friendly staff. Off street parking in a surface lot.

Ordered delivery Burgers were over cooked,one was missing dressing,ordered rice pudding W/whipped cream,dont know what thay sent but it was not Rice pudding I threw it out!!!!
