We came here for his birthday. The food is awesome and so is the overall atmosphere. It's an expensive place, but the food and service was great.

I love this place. Feel like a lion whenever I come here. More meat on my plate! Love the location,the food and the attentive staff. Ive gone with friends and with a baby as well. Both times bit was great

This place is awesome! It's like a Brazilian steakhouse on meth. They have filet mignon, lamb, shrimp and like 12 or 13 other types of meat (all-you-can-eat) and a GOURMET salad bar. Anyone who is complaining about the price needs to let me know where you can get all this for less... Even if it isn't in SF. (protip: you can't)

This place is amazing. The selections were cooked perfect. It is none stop as long as your spinner is on green. Go here empty stomached and you ll end up leaving having to losses your belt. To get your moneys worth skip the salad bar or just go very light. The garlic steak was perhaps my favorite of all the selections. This place is great. Definitely worth the money spent.

Excellent service of excellent food. The first time I've had the churrascario experience and not felt rushed or overwhelmed. The quality of the meat and preparation stood out for sure, but it was the combination of the two that stood out most.

Espetus gets most of this rating based on the great wait staff they have. Service was very friendly and were very attentive. However, the food was disappointing.

When I go to a churrasco I expect the meat to be browned on the outside, salty, and cooked medium. The majority of the meat that was offered was either under-salted enough or overcooked. The salad bar was also pretty light on options compared to other higher end churrascos.

Probably the best Brazilian churrascaria in San Francisco. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it if you're in a mood to eat lots of meat.

Favorite is Top sirloin with garlic. Roasted pineapple is also very good. For dessert, Creme de Papaya is simple but a very delicious reward to yourself after a heavy dinner.

The waiter added my friends drink to my tab; strike one. Then they told me I had fake money when I went to the bar to purchase a shot of Makers with a pre-1990 $100 bill; strike two. Still willing to go back for their delicious Smorgasbord of meat however its do or die. I expect more from a restaurant of this caliber. Will update this review after the next outing.

Was an awesome place. Better than any of the other Brazilian restaurants I've been to. Unfortunately I had to leave in the middle of eating because of an emergency and didn't try everything I wanted, but otherwise I loved it.

Love their chicken and shrimp chicken sausage chicken hearts if you are a beef pork lamb lover they have it all exceptional service always a delight

Amazing food. This is the place to be for meat lovers. But watch out - price level is a bit steep.

We went here for my best friend's birthday. I have to say that I learn to love meat I had never tried before. Their food was absolutely delicious. And my friends raved about their side dishes, however I never made it over there. As soon as we turn the light to Green they came around with the meat and one of the waiters brought me a clean plate and I went in. Not one time did I need to leave my seat! I will definitely be back here.

The was great if you sat on either end of the table we had 30 people and the people in the didn't get taste a lot of the served until they came around 3rd time food is delicious but a lot of it is very red meats but those that were cooked were great

Not really amazing. Feels like an overhyped churrascaria with a really high price tag.

A few of my co-workers decided to go experience this Brazilian Steak House (BSH). The selection of the salad bar was below our standard of the other BSH we have visited. The wait staff were all over the place and not very attentive. Our waiter was extremely pushy, trying to convince us to purchase a bottle of wine, when only one of us was drinking. I expressed this to him prior to the other guest arrival, that I was the only one drinking wine. Very few selection of the meat cuts were available, no lamb, no blazed pineapple and we were only served about five (5) cuts of meats not the seven (7) listed on the website.
As the meats were being served, we noticed a distinguishing taste on all. It was lighter fluid, about 30 mins in we could no longer eat, due to the fact all of the meat that were served tasted like the lighter fluid. You could not enjoy the meats, no favor just a lot of fluid. We asked for the dessert menu, nothing and I mean nothing on it was even appealing to try.
As we began to pay for our meal, one of my co-workers began to feel ill and had to go to the bathroom. I informed our waiter about the meats and he stated he will inform the manager. As we waited the manager never arrived at our table. Upon leaving, I asked for the manager. My first question to him was: did our waiter speak to you about our concerns? No, so I proceeded to inform of the taste that over powered all the meats. He seemed uninterested in what I had to say, never offered anything. Wasn t expecting anything just basic customer services. I stated I would never return and I will be posting a review .

I celebrated my PhD last night in this delicious restaurant. happy to tell that we had a pleasant evening and the place was absolutely one of the reasons for the happy event. The team participated in a very nice style, the food was yummy and my friends were very thrilled. We shall definitely return for more events. Thank you very much.

My husband said he was making reservations to take me on a date. I was skeptical at first. Like I tell everyone, you get what you pay for. Our reservations were for 6pm we made an hour and a half drive and got there an hour early. They were able to accommodate us by giving us a great window seat for two an hour early and began service right away. The restaurant is very clean which is the most important thing for me to enjoy eating anywhere. The service was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was seasoned and served JUST right. The server recommended a white wine Sauvignon Blanc, by Kim Crawford.... AMAZING!! My new favorite. We work and don't go out much. This experience was worth every penny. We will be recommending this to several couples we know and we will for sure be back. Thanks for a great experience!!!!

This was my first time eating at a Brazilian Steakhouse and the servers were awesome on explaining the process and they always served us with a smile.

Pricey, for me. 125 for 3 people pricey. But I've been before, and I'll be back. Great food, unlimited food, and fantastic service. Not for those on a vegetable centric diet. Bring your appetite, and your carnivore friends.

Amazing place, meat is high quality and very, very tasty. no matter what kind. The place is awesome with great service. Be sure to get your seat reserved prior to visiting the place.

When Espetus comes to mind, you would think top of the line food, service and experience. I've been to other location so my expectations was pretty high.

We checked out this places to try out San Francisco Restaurant Week. It was nothing special. The salad bar was so-so. The bake mushrooms is to come back for but it seems like the San Mateo location has more options to choose from. The meat options didn't seem a lot. It's just the same as lunch despite the chicken hearts, pineapple and shrimps- other than that nothing special. The Men walking around with the meat are awesome and very helpful. The other servers that just stand there and wait for finish your meal didn't deliver an experience that would want me to come back- except the guys with an industrial piercingn he was pretty nice.

The 2 stars are for for their mango salsa and chicken hearts. Outstanding service from the men walking around with swords. Not sure about $2 for a hot water with a tiny slice of lime. I mean who charges for hot water? Never heard of such a thing. Also, wasn't aware about San Francisco healthy tax but they can't do anything about that.

Will be returning but at their other location.

Really enjoyed the food here. The amount of great meats was amazing. I had trouble stopping eating. The only downside was the price. It was high.

I want to know if the type of meat can be served well cooked or just raw?

Meat overload but everything is amazing including salad bar. 5 star service 4.7 stars overall. Try Presidents 30 year Tawny port with Petit Gadeau to finish. Yum!

The service is regularly fast, good character, very nice staff. Will visit again when I get in town.

Have been here multiple times. This time, like every other time, the food was beyond amazing, service was great, and I look forward to coming back again. Going for lunch is my preference as they do not charge as much but there are only three items they don't offer. The healthy SF charge is ridiculous in my opinion.

Upscale Churrascaria. Meats quality is excellent. Order the Caipirinha cocktail.

It is expensive and very delicious Brazilian meat restaurant. Like Chinese dim sum, during the meal, the waiters come to the table one by one and offer various kinds of meat to choose what they want to eat. I can eat so many kinds of meat, and when I get out I usually call it a boat.

Impeccable service. Succulent meats. Fantastic experience. Just book. You won't be disappointed. 11/10

Went here on a date before seeing Hamilton. The food was flavorful and plentiful. The salad bar was fresh and had interesting items available. The service was friendly and professional. A Five Star evening all around!

Absolutely everything here tastes great . Every single thing from the salad bar to the meat is very fresh and cooked to perfection. If you are coming here to eat I suggest you fast for a few hours before going there so to make sure you have enough room to try a little bit of everything .

We we're here for Nye dinner and everything was good. They were so accommodating and gracious. Bravo!

It s vday, so I understand it s busy, but you can t just create random tables and put them in walkways and awkward places which cause the entire dinner to be enjoyable and if you plan to seat someone in these areas, probably makes more sense to ask them first if they are ok with it

If I could give no stars, I would. The staff and manager are completely rude and when a few animal rights activist entered their restaurant to let everyone know they are selling murdered baby animals, they assaulted the activist! You call the police, not literally assault them in front of your own customers! The activist had two of their phones stolen because they were trying to film their friends being assaulted, while they were being assaulted. The employees threw their phones out of the restaurant and one phone was actually stolen by someone on the street. They also sprained an activist finger, one of the activist left in an ambulance. I would advise everyone not to visit this restaurant.

The food was really amazing but after we checked out of dinner one of the servers ran after us and accused of not paying our tab, after we just paid it to another server. He asked us twice in front other people that were waiting in line to get seated. We spent almost $200 on a meal and this is not how we deserved to be treated. What a horrible experience! Being treated like thieves when we had paid our tab in full, plus tip. We will never be back and hope no other paying clients have to experience the same that we did on NYE!! It ruined our night.

Fabulous food. Great service. Friendly and attentive withput being hovring or intrusive. Great place to dine. The variety of dishes is outstanding.. They serve dishes from many cultures... caprisi. Tabouleh. Greek salad.. Hummus. Best steak around... Chicken hearts... Homemade chicken sausage... Roast lamb... It is a true adventure in eating... Wonderful experience... Try it. You'll love it.

This is the meat fest. Just sit and wait for the meat to come to you. The trip-tip was my favorite. Some of the meat pieces can be a little salty, but nothing that a good glass of sangria can't cure. To put an end to your meal you should have a Brazilian coffee.

This place is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for convenient rates. Constantly neat and with fantastic character. Highly recommended.

What a delight. 1st time I ate at Espetus was in Recife Brazil. In fact, that is where I found my love for the Churrascaria style Brazilian Steak houses. This is one of the only Churrascarias that serves filet. During a short visit to San Fran, I was looking at other stake houses. You pay the same amount for a complete meal here (which includes as much filet as you'd like) as you would at any other steak house just for the filet; less drinks! As the Brazilians would say, "Se Curta meu amigo!" Enjoy my friends!

While visiting on a work trip I came here for dinner. As far as pricing goes it's super expensive. The thing is, the meat isn't substantially better than other Brazilian places to justify the cost increase, and I'd say the options at the salad bar buffet aren't as good as other Brazilian places I've been to here at home. The service was great though. My conclusion: It's ok but there are better places for the same money.

An incredible flavor experience in a very smart modern and upscale restaurant.

Meats cooked to perfection and deserts that defy description and bring a tear to your eye. I recommend you don't pass up the chicken hearts, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I love this place. Service is awesome! Food is so delicious and a meat lovers paradise. I especially loved the salad bar, salmon, black beans, sauteed collard greens, yummy. I will return with more friends. They have red and white Sangria too.

Solid place. Came here for dinner on a weekday and got seated immediately. It was $60 for the AYCE deal. The best cuts of meat they offer are the sirloin steak and the garlic steak. Their cheese breads are delicious and the salad bar is huge. Good place for a special occasion.

Came for my son's 18th birthday dinner...great place for big meat eaters..not so much for me as a peacatarian

If all you can meat is what you have been dreaming of, Espetus is your dream come true. The variety of meat options keeps you on your toes- from filet mignon to chicken hearts and prawns. The salad bar leaves much to be desired, especially the paella.

Very good meats. I say hold off and don't get too full until you see the filet mignon and the ribs. Don't eat the bacon wrapped filet, it is nasty and salty. They probably just re-cook the left over filet on the skewer and but it into pieces to wrap in bacon. They don't rush you out but they will keep asking if you want a custom order if you slow down on saying yes to meats.

This is the first place that i've ever been for brazilian food. But I have to admit, it was super good. The staff are super nice and friendly. They def make sure you are happy and satisfied with your food. You will leave as a happy camper and super full. The food is super seasoned well, so your first bite, you will taste all the flavors of spices.

Sadly , was skipped at least twice by a guy with gray hair and glasses. At the end I felt like the guys come less cause they wanted us to go. Even though the indicator was green meaning we still want some meat. Left that place not so satisfied.

Flavorful food overall with some meat over salted. Service is excellent. However the price, fees, and recommended gratuities are too over the top. Will not come back or recommend to any one.
