Only expensive valet parking, no self parking available

We were excited to stay here because of the location and were willing to pay a little more. We booked a room with six other parties (a total of six rooms). We first noticed that the sink in the guest bath didn't drain very well. Next we staying in room 307 and we noticed a wet spot on the floor. I had thought my kids spilled water and didn't pay much attention until Saturday night I had my jeans on the floor on the side of the bed. I woke up in the morning and the jeans were soaked! They had a leak in the ceiling dripping down on the floor! I told the bell hop about it and he said "yea I think all the '07' rooms have a leak, it's just leaking all the way down from the top." What the heck? They knew there was a leak in the room and decided to rent it anyway? Nice! Then on Saturday (Sept 13th, 2020) we were sleeping and at about 11pm the fire alarm goes off. A loud blaring alarm with a speaker in our master bedroom starts blaring. What the heck!? I wake up trying to figure out why this alarm is going off. After about three minutes of adrenaline rush moving around the room trying to figure out where the alarm going off is coming from I go outside and realize the alarm is going off in every room in the hotel. There are people gathered in their PJ's on the balcony with bewildered looks on their faces trying to also figure out what's going on. The pool empties, people start evacuating the hotel and after over five minutes it finally stops. The next day after we leave I call the hotel and ask for a $100 credit for all this nonsense. The woman on the phone asks if I spoke to a manager before I left. I told her I told the bell hop all of it, but I needed to leave in the morning and didn't have time (I have two kids 2 and 6 and Sunday morning leaving is crazy). I told her that's why I'm calling now. She said the manager would call me, but he never did. I called the next day, they said the manager is off that day and call back tomorrow. I said forget it, I'll just write a review instead. This was our experience, it wouldn't of been too bad except the feeling of being disrespected and not listened to about our experience. Hotels are all about customer service! These guys unfortunately earned a one star review, not because of the pluming leak or alarm, but because of the poor customer service.

Stayed here for our honeymoon. Pulled up, the valet quickly took our car keys, I gave him our room number so he could write it on the tag. Woke up to a bill of $27 for overnight parking. They refused to waive the fee, they didn't inform me of the fee. Very unprofessional. The king bed was horribly uncomfortable, just straight springs. Found curly black hairs on our towels, very disgusting, especially when they're supposed to be very clean rooms because of Covid. This hotel is the only bad memory of our wedding/honeymoon. Will definitely never stay here again. Complete joke.

part of a timeshare resort. in a larger bulding with very nice amenities (indoor-outdoor pool). good location. units can be combined into a 3 bedroom suite. very nice furnishings and deor.

Hotel is beautiful inside, location is the best. Rooms are pretty old, AC is so loud you need to turn it off for night. Prepare to pay around $45 per nigh for parking and extra fee not included in price +tax+fee.

High quality and tasty complimentary breakfast. The hotel has big rooms with old fashioned setup. The inside of the hotel is decorated nicely.

Rooms are ok, could use a little upgrading. Complimentary breakfast was terrible.

Instead of talk about this place I rather give you a suggestion. If you like to sleep in a dirty place? This is your place. But, next time take the time and look under the bed sheets and find out where are you actually sleeping on.

Stayed here for 3 nights around America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride. Nice place with spacious rooms. The morning breakfast is good quality. Had a great time overall. Roommate even used the pool and jacuzzi, and he was happy with it. The hotel had a special 5am breakfast on the day of the event, so that was very nice of them.

Was there for a wedding. Great staff, good food, had a really good time. Would recommend

Forced valet parking is inconvenient on arrival and atrocious when leaving. Huge crowds around 11am as everyone checking out waits for their cars. They told me it would be 25 minutes maybe less, to get our car. That was a gross underestimation, because it was 56 minutes from the time I handed them my slip until they brought my vehicle out. Nearly an HOUR to bring our vehicle. Needless to say, many people were upset. This alone debits one star from my rating. Otherwise, the hotel is nice. The hot breakfast is better than most. But it's all about the parking situation... I suggest leaving early if at all possible. And btw, this was the first time I've ever been denied a Late Check-out request.

Cool inner area, but kind of dark all around. Careful not to let your baby fall off the balcony. Not that that's happened.

Kids are "free" so don't list them when booking online or the price will go up for no reason

Toilet in my room was clogged

I was offered to move but wasn't worth it for me would have moved rooms and left a positive review if upgraded

Brought dinner for 4 but they forgot one of the dishes I ordered 20 minutes later they showed up with the food and wanted to charge me for it because they messed up the bill too. I politely asked for a comp and did not hear back.

Hot tub is small and crowded no time limit

2 stars, it's not a bad spot, just an accumulation of issues and lack of making them right with their customers

I'd stay there again and be much better prepared for the experience

Wonderful value. 2 beds plus a fold out couch. Nice and cozy. It's like an enclosed motel but in a good way. Security guards walk around the interior and I even saw one of them pick up a stray piece of paper. I thought that said something nice about them caring. Indoor pool and spa. Too many kids for me to even attempt but if I still had little kids this would have been heaven for them. Breakfast had a nice selection. The location can't be beat.

The total experience is 5 stars. Only one, thing that needs to be fixed in our room 957 is the Restroom exhaust. But definitely i will recommend this hotel.

Pricing is a scam. Hotel tried to charge me an additional 20% resort fee that was not advertised when I booked. Avoid these scammers and don t stay here

Nice people and great location. The only main downfall is that the parking issue is incredibly silly. One time we waited 30 minutes for our vechile to be delivered and then we waited 15 more minutes to drive out of the drop off area because they decided to drop our car at begining of the silliness line. Why not have us skip the further wait by letti us pick up our car near the garage? The next time was worse. Employees were running back from the garage without any cars (and not our car). It was not even busy. The employee communication was not organized and could use some sort of work flow. If it wasn't for the parking issue this place would be more highly rated. We are looking at other options for our next visit to Tahoe.

The location was great. I am giving it a three because we had a few things we were unhappy with. For the price of our stay, there should not have been any issues with the room, however, our living room phone did not work and the lamps in the living room didn t work either. Another issue we had was night one when we folded our bedding back there was an old bandaid stuck to our sheets. I definitely think if we go back we will find somewhere else to stay.

This is 2nd time in Lake Tahoe Resort hotel with my family. This time,we came to Lake Tahoe as my daughter wants to attend snowboard school.We booked a standard suite with a king bed. Breakfast is good, room is clean. Definitely we will come back.

Not worth a dollar!!!!! It was a huge disappointment for me when I saw what kind of room my family will be staying in. I paid 331 dollars a night. First of all it's outdated (old furniture, TV remote buttons were not working, the leather ottoman's four corners seemed like the dog chewed them off)! Breakfast was nasty!!!!! Potatoes were were half cooked, none of the food I ate tasted good there! This place needs a complete remodel!!! This is a huge rip off!!! I will never be staying at this place for sure! Oh and they charged my card extra without my knowledge so I end up paying extra. This place is ridiculous, stay away!!!! Doesn't even deserve one star. I got pictures and video to prove that this place sucks, my husband will post that soon.

Wonderful hotel! I didn't want a "casino-like" experience so we chose this resort hotel. The room and king size bed were very comfortable and accommodating! The room had absolutely everything we needed. The hotel IS kept up well. The architecture of it is not new which may make people feel as if it's not kept up. NOT true. The hotel architecture had more of a charm to it which I felt added to a Lake Tahoe feel... Restaurant was great as well. We didn't rent a car. Everything was within walking distance including the beach (8 minutes) which was $8 pp to get in (it's a tourist area, deal with it). The area does have more of a "tourist" like feel with restaurants, shopping, casinos all within walking distance. But that's what we wanted. Whole area is very nice, with much of it looking new. If you want something more secluded and less "touristy" this entire area is not for you. Otherwise, I would absolutely recommend this hotel!!

This hotel, by far, is the best hotel in Tahoe. Their employees go the extra mile, their rooms are clean, and overall environment is beautiful with a fine attention to detail. Valet, front desk, and restaurants are top class. I m guessing their engineering dept is spectacular in that everything worked perfect. Their lighting and facilities all very efficient. I ve stayed at most top class hotels and this one stands out and reminds me of my years working in Japan frequenting their trendy and reputable hotels. Try this place; it s worth it!

Really nice place and the price is really good too! We were escaping the smoke and this is a central place you can get around town and not need a car. Parking is a bit expensive but you can park near by for a lot less. There is an indoor pool and free breakfast.

Overall a nice suite. 2 rooms with separate sleeping quarters which is convenient for families. Problems with broken sinks, broken toilets, phone problems, wi fi problems. Housekeeping is below par also. Have to ask everyday for more towels. This is why it only gets 2 stars. Nice resort overall however, and good location. Nice pool and staff is very nice also!

Poor service from check in. Although I have stayed here before it was pleasant, this time was horrible. Check did not Advise of all the amenities. When I called for my tv to be fixed it took 4 calls and a stop at the front desk the next day to get it fixed. Also did not appreciate the bellman throwing our blanket on to the sofa knocking things down with no regard. Manger was rude, lack the knowledge of the service industry. His attitude carried down to his staff. They have little regard for the guest they serve.

This is a neat, functional and active resort hotel. But the service leaves much to be desired.

We'd booked two rooms with a double & a triple occupancy. While the double room was allotted to us at 4:00 pm (check in time)I we were asked to wait 15-20 minutes for the other room to get ready. The lady at the reception took our phone number, saying she'd call as soon as it was ready.bbut an hour and a half later when there was no call, we checked with her only to be told that the room was ready a while ago, but she'd forgotten to give us a heads up.

We we're requested to enjoy Happy Hours while waiting.There was an unusually long winding line of people waiting to be served, while the bartender took his own sweet time doling out the beverages.

But the breakfast is hearty and efficiently managed.

The upkeep of the hotel is average. It takes a while to fetch valet parked vehicles, so if one is in a rush, one needs to factor in at least 25-30 minutes before departure.

Nice room. Living room with hidabed couch, tv, dining area. Bedroom with king size bed, tv, and vanity area with sink.
Indoor pool and hot tub. Indoor pond with fish and turtles in a garden setting.
Excellent location next to casinos and Heavenly Village.
Great price, quiet relaxing environment. Nice without trying to be flashy.

Very nice facilities but phone in room did not work and rooms had a strong chemical smell to them. Staff were very kind and breakfast was always delicious.

Our stay was very good and enjoyable. Just a few minor details make this a 4 star review instead of 5. Towels being dirty and chairs in room having some leftover food on the seat. We would still come again though!

Roomy suits. Nice lobby/attrium with fireplaces. Breakfast is not very good and way too crowded.

So the breakfast was pretty meh, extra charge for omlets and then the request for a late check-out was such a hassel that we almost didn't check in. I would not recommend this hotel unless you had no other option

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

There were spider webs, hence there were spiders.
The bed sheets had spots on them. The bathtub was dirty. We had one dirty robe for 2 people. No slippers but we were promised slippers. The breakfast was decent. The hotel itself looked nice. There are fees for everything so watch out. They tried to help but we had to let them know about those things but they were very happy. Nothe sure if I'd recommendit

They did everything they could do to make your stay a good time . Very friendly staff and during these covid times they do their best to keep the guests and the staff.safe . We will stay there next time can't beat the location next door etc to the casinos !!

A very nice place to stay with a lot do all around it. From the slopes to the water and everything in between you can find a ton to do within walking distance. A beautiful hotel with plenty of rooms for the busiest of times we enjoyed our stay as a family with kids. Would visit here again as the pool and other amenities were great too.

Loved being able to walk around the huge, warm lobby in the winter. Great for cold stays.

I like this place alot. A bit too many untrained kids at the breakfast buffet, but that is not the hotel's fault.

My only beef is the forced valet parking. It's not the price, it's the wait to get in and out. I wish they would get a contract with Harrahs to let us self park (I'll pay!).

Loved this place. Clean, cozy and spacious rooms which are very similar to the layout you expect at an Embassy Suites hotel. Great location, literally right next door to the casinos. The breakfast buffet was very good with a solid selection of breakfast items and one of the best biscuits and gravy I've had outside the southern states. Overall, this is my new favorite hotel in South Lake.

Definitely a clean and great place for us to stay for a romantic weekend and view of Tahoe. Room was spacious and the people were great! The pool was a bit crowded and filled with kids, BUT they are gone by 10 pm if you want a bit more privacy until midnight. Location was great and the car was not needed because travel was offered to any location.

Amazing, simply amazing. We arrived super early & the staff offered to call us when our room was ready. The happy hour was amazing & the indoor pool was clean and awesome

It was okay. An awesome location. Not in one of the casinos so not overly smokey. Beds were lacking and we had the flatest pillows in the world. Other than that it's a great place. Oh and if u drive ...its valet parking only AMD a charge of $20!

Great all-suites hotel with super nice staff, a hot tub, gym and happy hour.

Kinda kept us waiting at check-in, but gave us $50 credit at the restaurant. Good service and free full breakfast.

The staff here at this hotel are the nicest hotel staff I have ever met.

My wife and I came with our family along with us for our anniversary. This place is clean, organize, great service, includes continental breakfast, indoor pool and spa, restaurant,etc. It was our first experience visiting south lake tahoe and the stay was totally worth it. We didnt had any problems and we definetly enjoyed our anniversary celebration at this resort. Just like 1 or 2 mins walking theres a small recreation center right next to the gondolas and like 5 min walking towards the lake.

The room was dirty. The breakfast was either overcooked or undercooked. They charged $62/night for parking and fees even though that is listed nowhere on their site. The air conditioning in the room doesn't work. It was about 80 in the room the whole time. The lighting in the room is terrible. Water pressure is bad. There was literally nothing good about this hotel.

Dined at echo in the hotel, food way okay but not the best.

We have stayed here many times. The location is "Central" walking distance to all of the casinos. Echo on premises has a beautiful patio to dine and has live music in the evening and dancing on the patio.
The food is amazing. We had short rib street tacos and Tuna tartar and avocado, with dark mojitos for cocktails.
Amazing we will dine here again and again. The staff is friendly and prompt.

A must for your visit to South Shore
for sure.

I booked this online as it allowed 4 adults per room. The room was big and that is about it. I got stuck on the 2nd floor which is where the breakfast buffet is! Had a group of people chatting and standing in front of my door when I woke up. The king bed was nice, but the cheap K-Mart pillows were horrible! Honestly, $350 a night with surcharges galore! The floor was more comfortable than the sofa bed. No self parking. This isn't a resort, the basic buffet was included, but getting eggs to order, was an extra $5 bucks.

Overall a really decent hotel. The rooms were large but require some maintanence (not too clean). Pretty awesome location right by the Nevada/California state line. 7/10.

Nice place to relax with family and friends.. Eateries and groceries are nearby.. Food inside the restaurant is bit expensive..

Location is great hotel is clean and comfortable. Mandatory valet parking raises the cost of the stay. If you need a cot, they are cheap and very uncomfortable.
