Saw two dead birds on the ground, barely any staff and the gift shop was an awesome ending. Tried to buy two cute pens, $3.99 and 5.99, the girl tells me it'll be $20 and change. I said no, look at the sign right behind me, she says well the signs wrong, I said, so that's the price you should give me, she said no. So rude, who ever would pay more than $20 for two plastic pens! You should raise your entrance fees so you can create some more humane enclosures.

I have been going to the El Paso Zoo since I was a little girl. Now I have my children and they also love visiting the zoo. It may not be as big or as fancy as other zoos but it's nice enough and big enough for us to enjoy. Some things, like food and souvenirs, are a little pricey.

Great place for el paso kids to go. The annual pass is well wroth it. It's basically the cost of going twice with a full load of kids, but you can go as much as you want. Also give discounts to other zoos throughout the country.

Nice zoo for the area. Giving it a four star because every time we go the birds on the wing show ends up being cancelled for whatever reason and alot of the animals aren't on their exhibits. The staff is very nice and the zoo is very clean.

I recomend this zoo because animals seems happy! Many of the zoos have sad animals. They look upset. But, El Paso zoo has a good appearance. It is so clean and they have kind employees. The only thing is that some animals do not have space enough.

We had an amazing time at the zoo. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the animals in their in their habitat enjoying themselves. We especially enjoyed the bird show. My daughter volunteered for the the dollar trick except the bird was not fallen for it. She had to walk the bird back to its cage. All in all it was an amazing show.

Obviously things are overpriced in the same way concert tickets and t-shirts are, but overall a great experience. Friendly staff, plenty of appropriately placed trash cans and a great place to take the kids. The best days are in the middle of the week. Crowd control with a million strollers on the weekend could use some work.

Awesome new Chihuahuan Desert exhibit! Winter is a great time to go since it isn't crowded and the animals are more active when it's not so hot. Also the new obstacle course looks really fun! It's $6-$8 to try it out.

Getting a family pass is well worth the price. The zoo is big and it will keep young children occupied. There is a large playground and splash pad there. You can bring in your own coolers and foods.

I've been a few times in El Paso Zoo. The animals look happy, well fed, and clean. The zoo is not too big or too small, you probably will need around 3-4 hours to walk around. The grounds are well maintained. If you want to have a snack there are places that serve food. Highly recommend visiting the El Paso zoo. Good quality time for families.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. We wanted to watch The Birds of Prey exhibit, went to where the sign said it would be, waited until 5 min. Past the posted time and finally learned it would be in a different area, hurried there, waited, finally asked an employee and were told the bird was "mad" so it was cancelled. We went to the Sea Lion exhibit, the glass was so filthy you couldn't even see the Sea Lions. Staff was seriously not helpful, just a very disappointing day

The membership is totally worth it to make quick visits throughout the year when looking to kill time or just get the kids out of the house. Always something new to see, e.g. I saw the wolves for the first time this visit...we didn't do it this time but feeding the giraffes is a blast for kids and adults alike!

This place has improved greatly over the years. Looking forward to all the improvements to come. The new Asia region is beautiful. The new carosel is gorgeous! Definitely somewhere you can take the kids and spend the day.

Clean, animals looked healthy . But must go at a good time to see all of the animals because they don't move much until in late afternoon when they get fed , also some new additions coming to the zoo soon .

Really nice place for the kids. The zoo is expanding and has some nice events on the holidays, giraffe feeding is awesome. There are a few suggestions I would make: clean/replace some of the glass dividers (specifically the sea lion glass is impossible to see through), a vendor or two on normal weekends might keep people at the zoo longer.

The Zoo in El Paso is pretty awesome. Boo at the Zoo is fun. It's got a decent layout a good amount if animals and activities. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is the size. Not a larger Zoo but perfect for a family outing.

The zoo is much improved from even as recent as a couple years ago, the exhibits have grown! Unfortunately there is not much catered for visitors looking to avoid the weekend crowd, no shows or guides

Didn't even make it inside. We got there a little after 3:00 and they said they put the animals away @4. Why!? If you close @5, why put the animals away a whole hour before closing? I may return but definitely do it before 3pm because that's just ridiculous.

About El Paso Zoo

The El Paso Zoo is a popular destination for animal lovers and families looking for a fun day out. Located on 35 acres of land, the zoo is home to a diverse range of animals from different parts of the world, including Africa, America, Asia, and the Chihuahuan Desert. With its commitment to conservation and education, the El Paso Zoo offers visitors an opportunity to learn about wildlife while having fun.

One of the unique features of the El Paso Zoo is its focus on animals from the Chihuahuan Desert region. This area covers parts of Mexico and southwestern United States and is known for its arid climate and unique flora and fauna. The zoo has several exhibits that showcase animals from this region such as Mexican wolves, prairie dogs, desert bighorn sheep, and mountain lions.

In addition to desert animals, visitors can also see exotic creatures like African elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras as well as Asian tigers at the zoo. The exhibits are designed to mimic natural habitats so that visitors can observe these magnificent creatures up close in an environment that closely resembles their natural habitat.

Apart from viewing animals in their habitats at close quarters; there are many other activities available at El Paso Zoo which makes it an ideal place for family outings or school trips. Visitors can take part in interactive experiences such as feeding giraffes or birds; attend educational talks by zookeepers who share interesting facts about various species; watch live animal shows featuring sea lions or birds-of-prey; ride on a train around the park or even have birthday parties with special packages offered by them.

The El Paso Zoo also has several conservation programs aimed at protecting endangered species both locally and globally. These programs include breeding programs for endangered species like Mexican gray wolves which were once extinct in Texas but now have been reintroduced into their native habitat through successful breeding efforts by zoos like this one.

Another program run by them focuses on educating people about wildlife conservation issues such as poaching or habitat destruction through workshops held throughout year where experts share information about how we can all help protect our planet's biodiversity.

Overall if you're looking for a fun-filled day out with your family while learning something new then look no further than The El Paso Zoo! With its wide range of animal exhibits showcasing creatures from around world along with interactive experiences available throughout park - there's something here everyone will enjoy!
