Love the fact u can actually see almost everything in one day, especially if you have an itinerary! It's not as big as NYC's Bronx Zoo but is still beautiful and entertaining for the little ones. We fed a giraffe and the costs to participate in certain activities wasn't so bad!!!

This zoo ia amazing. Staff is friendly, grounds are neat and clean. There is a wide varity of animals. I'm excited for the new development under construction. Some water misters with fans would add to the park and help keep visitors fresh

Family friendly, small enough to not feel rushed. Bathrooms need some maintenance, some sinks didn't work, missing soap dispensers, etc. Some enclosures were very nice, others could use some improvement.

Besides the beautiful upgrades to the zoo and animal exhibits, the after hour events such as Brew at the Zoo is a must go to experience. With great support from the craft community this bash is a blast.

It's small compared to other zoos but had quite a bit to see. The weather was miserably hot so most of the animals were in hiding. One thing I noticed is that there were no employees walking the grounds monitoring the animals.

The food at the Passport Cafe was alright but pricey. I believe you are allowed to bring outside food and drinks, I saw people with coolers. The bathrooms were clean. They do not have motorized scooters for elderly or disabled but they have wheelchairs. No deposit on those just need to take your ID to the cashier. Their membership packages are affordable.

A couple of things that really bothered me...the sheep were not sheared. They need to be sheared during the spring so they do not overheat come summertime. They looked dehydrated and sick. Their sheep are in very bad shape. Also, the one elephant I saw was swaying and also looked ill. It needs to be taken to a sanctuary to roam free. Elephants don't do well in captivity for long periods of time.

The El Paso Zoo is the most pathetic zoo I've ever been to! Today was the worst experience ever! We went there on a field trip with children with disabilities and the security officers and general managers were more concerned about the right count of people than the safety and welfare of our students! We got there with 2 hours to enjoy the zoo, and instead we had to wait outside and inside the hot white tent so that they could recount the number of people! Are they really that hard up for money that they're that concerned about the exact count, when your security officers didn't do it right the first time!? Then to get back on the buses after only less than an hour to see the zoo, our children were still made to wait to get on the buses because once again it was disorganized! I'm sorry, but this zoo is boring, disorganized, and lacks empathy. I'm hoping that something will be done to help make this place enjoyable!

Excellent, family friendly medium-sized zoo with a diverse and interesting assortment of mammals, reptiles and birds. Shows educational and entertaining, especially enjoyed the lion trainer's exhibition. Wonderful playground and fountains for children to cool off and play.

The new Chihuahuan Desert area is a great addition and the Copper Canyon Ropes Course is great for kids of any size. Turning the splash pad into a snowy play area for Santa at the Zoo was a nice touch, all of the kids loved it.

About El Paso Zoo

The El Paso Zoo is a popular destination for animal lovers and families looking for a fun day out. Located on 35 acres of land, the zoo is home to a diverse range of animals from different parts of the world, including Africa, America, Asia, and the Chihuahuan Desert. With its commitment to conservation and education, the El Paso Zoo offers visitors an opportunity to learn about wildlife while having fun.

One of the unique features of the El Paso Zoo is its focus on animals from the Chihuahuan Desert region. This area covers parts of Mexico and southwestern United States and is known for its arid climate and unique flora and fauna. The zoo has several exhibits that showcase animals from this region such as Mexican wolves, prairie dogs, desert bighorn sheep, and mountain lions.

In addition to desert animals, visitors can also see exotic creatures like African elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras as well as Asian tigers at the zoo. The exhibits are designed to mimic natural habitats so that visitors can observe these magnificent creatures up close in an environment that closely resembles their natural habitat.

Apart from viewing animals in their habitats at close quarters; there are many other activities available at El Paso Zoo which makes it an ideal place for family outings or school trips. Visitors can take part in interactive experiences such as feeding giraffes or birds; attend educational talks by zookeepers who share interesting facts about various species; watch live animal shows featuring sea lions or birds-of-prey; ride on a train around the park or even have birthday parties with special packages offered by them.

The El Paso Zoo also has several conservation programs aimed at protecting endangered species both locally and globally. These programs include breeding programs for endangered species like Mexican gray wolves which were once extinct in Texas but now have been reintroduced into their native habitat through successful breeding efforts by zoos like this one.

Another program run by them focuses on educating people about wildlife conservation issues such as poaching or habitat destruction through workshops held throughout year where experts share information about how we can all help protect our planet's biodiversity.

Overall if you're looking for a fun-filled day out with your family while learning something new then look no further than The El Paso Zoo! With its wide range of animal exhibits showcasing creatures from around world along with interactive experiences available throughout park - there's something here everyone will enjoy!
