We visited while celebrating our one year anniversary (during the Christmas season - yes, I know, late review ) and what an INCREDIBLE time we had here at the Eilan!! So luxurious, elegant, gorgeous, relaxing, and beautiful! The view was awesome! It was an amazing retreat away from everything but still close enough to nearby restaurants and shopping and not too far from downtown either.
One of the highlights of our stay was taking advantage of the SPA!! We splurged and did the Soothe for Two package which included an amazing Razul Steam Experience and finishing with a couple's Swedish massage! It was incredible! The professional Spa staff are AMAZING!!! We HIGHLY recommend our wonderful therapists, Gabriela and Karina. They both did a phenomenal job and made us feel comfortable and relaxed through our entire experience.
ALL of the service at the Eilan is impeccable from the Valet, to the Front Desk/Check-in/Concierge, to the Spa staff, to wait staff in the restaurant. Everyone was fantastic! We also enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast as well as the Starbucks and gift shop. We have already been talking about when we can schedule our next trip. Thank you for being a part in making our anniversary so memorable.
Beautiful place to stay! Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was great for us! Colin was fantastic! He gave us all kinds of good advice for local attractions and places to eat. He was such a help! We have been to San Antonio many times but are always looking for good places to eat and neat things to see and do.
The Eilan was great for 2 but not really family friendly. We couldn't bring our 2 kids here because the accommodations aren't set up for families. We were told that they were working on improving that aspect, which would be fantastic.
Very friendly staff and great atmosphere! There were alot of great amenities and team helping my company setup our event was very detailed. Thank you
I love the look of the place when you head out for a walk
Beautiful resort! We stayed here for a conference and really enjoyed ourselves! It has an indoor pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, spa, fitness area, and many more great amenities. The rooms were modern and well kept up. Would definitely stay again! Need a car to stay here. Suburban and car centric
Very easy to find. A lot of readily available parking, reserved spots. There are many places to eat around the location and close to La Cantera Shops. Rooms are spacious and upscale. Service is very friendly and in a good location.
chic accommodations, room service and a convenient location at North West of San Antonio. Fancy room and incredible architecture design in beauty hill. It's high expensive but it's valuable cost for lovely place in quite a while
Lovely property. Great location. Good walking distance restaurants and amenities. Huge 12,000 Sq. Ft gym. Indoor lap pool. Out door resort pool with bar. Big baby pool. Good staff. Seriously a great property associated with Marriott. Only. Downside is the parking. Ridiculous if you don't want pay 35.
Great customer service, attended a few meetings there.
Food was excellent
Nice pools. The juice store located there was excellent.
Went there 3 months when the place wasn't officially open, the hotel is beautiful, the service was great and the price was low. If I ever go back to San Antonio that's where I be staying.
My only complaint was the front desk. I waited for 10 minutes to pay my valet while two employees worked on verifying tickets. They should have paused that work and attended to the line of 3 guests waiting.
Went there for a special event work function. Wow! Amazing.
Staff is AMAZING!!! Such a beautiful property if you get the chance don't miss it!
Unbelievable hotel and even better staff! Can't wait to return to San Antonio!
For such a beautiful and well designed
European-esque structure, it's a yes for me! BUT as far as their spa facility goes, it's just so-so. The ease of scheduling my spa appointment and confirming the day before was nice. Also nice free valet service for Spa customers. My massage therapist, was superb! The rest were not above and beyond to me. Having been to other spa places this place is below average. The spa description on the website and even the person I spoke with said there would be snacks and hot tea, they only served hot tea, I was excited for the snacks. Place was sanitary and organized, loved the showers but I didn't like that the pool and jacuzzi were 4 floors down. The pool and jacuzzi area was dirty. I didn't see employees around to let them know. There were cigarette butts and ashes near the jacuzzi and used tissues on the chairs by the pool. No towels available either. It wasn't crowded and it was early in the morning so I'm not sure why it was unkempt. It was not presentable for such a high end hotel and it dampened my spa experience. Come on Eilan, I know you can do better!
We have stayed here numerous times and will be again in 2 weeks. I just feel the need to remind all the review readers that are seeing the bad reviews that we are in a pandemic. Things aren't open as they usually would be nor is the staff 100%. Keep that in mind when reading and leaving reviews. There isnt a lot that can be done nor is this the hotel staffs fault. We have been there many times and never have we had a problem.
Upscale and nice hotel with some downfalls. Staff helpful and friendly. Place definitely looks and feels nice.
Bathroom tub is so high it's dangerous to step in and out to say the least. No vending machines which is very odd for a hotel, gift shop slash coffee shop closed very early and no way to get snacks other than expensive room service. Food from room service was just average at best. No stationary at all pens paper etc nothing also very odd for a hotel.
Bed frames are wood and way too big for bed and sticks out with sharp corners and girl friend hit leg on it and got a pretty nasty cut and bruise from it. Water pressure is horribly lacking in shower and cannot adjust showerhead at all. Water just trickles out. Sink water was hot even from the cold knob.
Parking is terrible have to wait in blazing heat for a sputtering on its last leg sounding golf cart to pick you up and bring you on a harrowing ride up to hotel and same for going back out to car from hotel..not really an option to walk unless you are in the mood for a tough work out . If you want to valet it is outrageous 35 to 50 dollars PER DAY.
Relaxing atmosphere, and the team provided great customer service!
The restaurant Sustenio in the Eilan hotel is wonderful. They just rolled out a new lunch menu and they are participating in restaurant week
Valet parking only. Free if you dine at the hotel. Food was good, flatbread is actually pizza and it was fair.
Beautiful. Exquisite. Bluegreen Vacations newest resort in San Antonio. I did not stay there but I will next time. As an owner I just wanted to see what it looked like.
Very nice, probably the best blue green I've been to. But this chair will is the greatest, I'm still trying to talk them out of two or three!
Beautiful architecture and the staff is top notch. Celebrating my birthday hete and received a special treat!
Service is excellent. Haven't stayed the night yet but will be hosting an event there.
The hotel was nice but the spa was unorganized--and that's a compliment. They were advertising an online Mother's Day Giveaway that promised a spa day for a person that posted a picture on Facebook with their mother. My wife and I had trouble understanding how to appropriately sign up, so we asked the staff at the spa. They did not even know there was a giveaway, or how to sign up. We worked with them and posted our picture, tagging the spa as directed. Although we appeared to be the only posting, we did not win and the manager of the spa told us that we did not sign up correctly. That wasn't surprising given that her own employee didn't know how to! The manager offered to call my wife and give her a treatment anyway as a token for our trouble---and she never called. We did not have time or intention to book a spa appointment during our short stay, but I would advise you to avoid the spa unless you enjoy relaxing at a location with unorganized individuals in charge.
Fabulous hotel, the staff were all wonderful. If you visit the restaurant ask for Jordan to be your server. She is fantastic. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Plan to return. Tyrone and Rita spent our 28th year Anniversary here December 5 -9, 2019
Yet another beautiful addition to the Autograph Collection of hotels and Spas!
The Eilan is nestled in to the heart of San Antonio, in a beautiful shopping center. The first experience is with an incredibly helpful staff while checking in (Marriott Rewards members are treated with additional amenities and upgrades).
The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and their rooms are what you would expect from a 4-star hotel, comfortable beds, spacious living areas and pleasing decor.
The on-site restaurants and bars offer an exquisite selection of food and wine.
The lobby includes comfortable seating and meeting areas complete with a fireplace, and there are three floors, complete with balcony seating, where your party can meet and relax.
Will definitely be staying here again and again.
We were there to view BlueGreen vacation
It is a beautiful hotel and a great experience.
Good hotel with excellent accommodations. The location is ideal for families visiting San Antonio without the hectic downtown activity!
Loved staying at this resort! So glad our Bluegreen bought it!
This place was great, and the people were friendly!
Beautiful property with friendly service. The restaurants and amenities are fabulous! Very clean, and best of all comfortable and quiet. We loved our stay and will be back.
Friendly staff and residents. Beautiful and clean environment!
Poor room cleaning, pricey restaurant & bar, poor communications about events
Absolutely an amazing hotel! I look forward to to staying here again next time we are back in town!
Hotel was amazing and service was great. I plan on going back there for future visits.
Very pretty and elegant. Here for a work event and very happy this far. Great bar and restaurant options and a beautiful place overall.
First of all, this hotel wears a beautiful facade. Upon first glance it is very pretty. The rooms are elegant enough, and it's ALMOST convincing as a 4 star. The valets and bell hops were pleasant and very helpful. However, we received a call the DAY BEFORE check in to inform us there was a $20 a day parking fee. This hotel is not even downtown. There is no reason to charge for parking on a 100 acre property. You pretty much have to have a car to stay at the hotel, because it's 20 min from downtown San Antonio. If you don't have a car, you'll have to pay for long ubers. Really made no sense.
Upon check in, we were brought to guest services, where we were given a free breakfast voucher. The gentleman who gave it to us said we could use it until 2. Then, we were also told that if we went to a two hour presentation, we could have a $150 credit to use in their "world class diamond-rates restaurant" or in the spa. We figured, why not... he said If we go to the 9 o clock presentation, we could make it in time to use our breakfast voucher. Cool, sure, fair enough. He told us he would make us a dinner reservation as well.
We went to the presentation, which was one of the worst, low-class sales pitches I have seen in my entire life. But that's a story for another day. After the sales pitch, we booked it to brunch, where we were told our vouchers were no longer valid. Great. They said they could give us $30 credit, so we just had a couple of drinks while we looked into nearby brunch spots. The bartender was great- loved her. She gave us a lot of good tips for places we should try for brunch. We asked her if she could check to see if our reservation was confirmed, and our reservation was never made. Regardless, People at the hotel kept saying you don't really need a reservation to eat there.... I wondered why, since it's advertised as being world class, and diamond-rated.
After spending a couple of hours downtown, we got back to our hotel and found he had still not received any maid service, and we never ended up getting maid service. Even 3-star hotels get daily maid service. How can you call yourself a 4-star hotel without daily maid service?
Ah- and then the restaurant.
The staff was really accommodating to our allergies and dietary restrictions, but it was NOT a fine dining restaurant. Again, another story for another day. It was an absolute waste of time and a meal, and I regretted going to that time share meeting just for a $150 credit to be used at a terrible (and I mean terrible) restaurant. It was such a disappointing day. The menu at the restaurant didn't even reflect the menu online, the steak was so bad my boyfriend had to ask for A1... ok sorry, I'll save the review for the restaurant yelp page.
Finally, we assumed that like most hotels, check out would be at 11. Around 9, we woke up to the sound of loudly chatting and gossiping staff members outside our door. After about 10 min, they moved along. At 10 AM on the dot, someone began knocking on the door, we asked them to hold on while we put clothes on, and they just entered the unit, with us undressed, and asked us when we were going to check out- WHAT!? We find out check-out is at 10, but good lord, you don't enter a unit that hasn't checked out! You know when people have and haven't checked out.
As we went to shower, we were sadly reminded of the lack of maid service, as we didn't have any more shampoo or conditioner, or clean towels. GREAT.
Finally, when we checked out, the staff didn't even ask how the stay was, which I think is pretty customary at even a Days Inn.
Overall, I will never stay here again. Will never recommend it. It was the worst experience I have had at a hotel.
Great atmosphere and service. Super clean and and good places nearby.
The berdad not be as it will be inside I was just to take a job but the meiners are well behaved
Y all failed to make my experience better
And thanks for putting a spur in my father s day.
If you have a service animal, expect to the harassed by some staff members. The lady at the front desk Monday night asked questions that were against ADA policy. Then when that wasn't enough, she brought out a male staff member who said they require a photo ID for the dog and would provide it to security. Again that requirement is illegal and against Marriott policy.
The next day, security called my room because the maid complained that I had the dog.
I informed security of what happened with the front desk. They apologized. Said they front desk never told them about the service animal and agreed that the front violated were Federal ADA rules and Marriott policy.
The valet is fast when they are around, but are often missing in action. Often I pull up and they are not outside. Then the front desk (same lady as before) expects you to wait for them instead of taking the keys.
Combine all this drama with the traffic in the area and I am checking out early this week. I'm a business traveler and would have stayed often over the next 5 months. They lost revenue.
Nice place friendly staff great views. Beds not so nice. They probably need to update them.
Wonderful location to escape san antonio, once you're here you almost forgot you're in SA. incredible views and nice area to visit
Visited for a conference. Loved the venue and will return for personal stay. Great time!
The staff is very friendly....we are here on Christmas day and no one is down or not happy to help you....i feel pampered.....
It was an engagement party for a fried at an elegant location. Food was ok and a bit pricey. When she said yes, all was good.
Great hotel, staff could not have been more friendly. If ever in San Antonio again in that area, we will be staying there.
The hotel is promising luxury when in reality the pool is old with ran down cabanas, hotel parking is not safe, three cars broken into while we were there and one stolen without much concern by staff only saying four were broken into the week before. No security at hotel had to walk in the dark from parking to hotel called for shuttle and never came at 9:20 at night. Additionally a lot of amenities do not exist like the kiddie splash pad is broken and no virtual golf. No bell boy to call have to ask several times for luggage assistance. This place is not worth your money.
This hotel was very nice. Room was clean. However, I had shoes stolen by housekeeping. They were not in the lost and found. Make sure you don t leave your shoes out.
Girlfriend and I Went for lunch today at Sustenio's and had a great experience. I recommend the salad, Salmon and broccolini and peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious. Beautiful hotel and during this particular time of day I happened to receive Complimentary valet parking which was a nice bonus :-)
Beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly the food in the restaurants was amazing. And the room was very spacious. I would definitely come back.
A very nice place, way swankier than anything I used to. The pool from our ninth floor room. The grandkids loved it.
Parking can be tricky. Great jalapeno margarita at the hotel bar.
My husband and I visited a friend for drinks and dinner at the hotel, and it was beautiful!! The employees were genuinely nice, and the facilities were spectacular. The music in the lobby was calm and welcoming, and the lobby lights were turned low at night so it wasn't so bright. The parking lot is a bit of a walk away so they offer a shuttle service. When we got there in the evening, we were shuttled in a black fancy SUV, and when we left later that night we rode back in a golf cart. Our friend paid extra for an amenities card, which gave 2 free bottles of water in the room daily, and free appetizer, and free gelato, and access to virtual golf. There are even TVs built into the mirrors, and the spa looked like a great place to sit back and relax. You're definitely getting quality at the Eilan!
Very beautiful resort, despite my experience with the valet service. When I arrived to the valet it took about 15 min to approach me. Then once we went to get our car it took over 30 min. to receive it. The attendant was very rude, showed no concern how unhappy we were about our wait time. If I were to ever stay at this resort again, I will not be using this valet service because of my terrible experience.
This hotel was gorgeous. Every view from every level was breathtaking. The building, pool and amenities were a five star experience. Best stay guaranteed.
It was a nice hotel, definitely shouldn't be called a resort. In our room all the countertops had water stains, carpets were stained and had grass on the floor. The elevator went out, and we were on the 6th floor. If you wanted to park yourself, the parking lot held only 10 cars, or you'd have to go a mile down and park in the apartments parking lot not even close to where you are staying. Horrible customer service as well.
Amazing hotel & banquets team!!! The staff was so helpful and accommodating. F&B is fantastic and delivers excellent cuisine with attentive service! Had a great stay here a few months ago. Seems like a great place to have a wedding.
Beautiful. Clean room. Excellent customer service
Staff were very professional and helpful during our stay.
