Eilan Hotel Resort & Spa Review

The Eilan is like it's own town! There is a choice of indoor or outdoor pools, which the kids loved! Our room was pretty nice, although it was one of the rooms that had not been renovated yet(this hotel was just bought out and they are making awesome renovations. I got a tour of the whole hotel, and the presidential suite was amazing!!! It was like an apartment...But better. I forgot to mention that you can literally walk to Six Flags Fiesta Texas from the hotel. There are plenty of food choices within walking distance. Overall, we had a great stay!

The view that we had from our room was amazing they had so many great activities and ameneties. A good restaurant, shops, Starbucks, an amazing pool and great service.

What a great place! My wife and I staid here for a weekend visit and never left the property. The service was impeccable and the bonus offerings - free appetizers, breakfast pastries, etc were unexpected. The spa was pricey, but a good experience, and the Sunday brunch was a spread that rivalved a feast prepared for a Roman feast.

Beautiful room, clean and comfortable. We ate at Ruth Chris steakhouse, then drinks at George Keep all on property. Can't wait to go back. We live 10 minutes away.

We travel from Louisiana just for the Spa. Even when they got our reservation wrong they made ever effort to make it right

OH what a lovely experience! It was the perfect getaway for my birthday celebration. The spa was clean, comfortable, just plain wonderful. The dining and drinks were delicious and the service everywhere was impeccable! And the hotel staff found out it was my birthday and left a lovely surprise birthday treat in our room for us. Talk about going the extra mile! I highly recommend this place!

I was only at the bar, but while the bartender was nice it took so long to get back to us that we went to another bar.

These are my first impressions of this hotel I have been here for less than an hour the rooms are nice but basic, it is all about the looks it is a resort but their pool is not very impressive, you have to pay for everything on top of the room charge, nothing is included. You have to rent the bungalows/cabanas at the pool they do not have a resort service like, no towels at the pool. It feels kind of bizarre we are here for a presentation but I am not sure what to think of it. Hopefully it will get better.

Beautiful property... very friendly staff... and comfortable, luxurious rooms! Several restaurants within walking distance, awesome fitness facilities, and great pools relaxing atmosphere.

Nice hotel once you find it. Seriously better signs would be great and warn drivers you have to briefly leave civilisation before you find the hotel. Valet parkers were great as was the gentleman at the front desk.

Very nice rooms. Extremely nice staff but it is expensive. Definitely worth a stay if you can afford it.

A new hotel but lots of character, reminicient of the brewery that was once in this classic building. The staff is friendly and professional, and the restaurants and bars are also first rate. With a location that is on the tranquil new part of the San Antonio Riverwalk, this is a destination, boutique hotel.

Its truly a resort and they have plans of expanding.

This hotel is beautiful and the people are so friendly. The grounds are extremely nice and you can take a walk around the property on a paved walking trail.

Eilan Hotel and Spa is a spectacular resort with gorgeous views. Nestled on the edge of the Texas hill country you can enjoy fabulous food from The Sustenio, walk around the property and partake in the gorgeous views overlooking beautiful San Antonio! The hotel is classy and just a hop-skip-and a jump from Six Flags, Top Golf, iFly, and THE ALAMO and famous San Antonio Riverwalk!

SO UPSET WITH THEM. im a hairstylist and i had a wedding party here today & forgot my purse. i realized around 9 and called them asking them to go look. they would take my name and number and never get back to me. i waited an hour after calling multiple times and finally drove there FROM NEW BRAUNFELS(45 min) to get my purse myself. once i got there, FINALLY one employee named Nasir helped me find the room and was super sweet. im leaving a bad review for the spa in general, but Nasir was amazing and finally put my mind to rest after all that stress

I have always had good experiences at Druries, and this stay was (basically) no exception. The hotel is centrally located and even has a nice "basement" exit that spills directly onto the Riverwalk. We found it to be a good value with excellent accommodations. The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean. The only drawback was that we were given a room near the top of the hotel. I was initially excited about that since we had specifically requested a quiet room. It was well away from street noise and the elevator. Unfortunately, the room was directly underneath the gym which is at the top of the hotel near the pool (and wonderful hot tub). I had no idea until about 5AM when I awoke to an incessant thumping sound. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it didn't seem to be going away and I couldn't get back to sleep. I thought maybe it was the ceiling fan, but when I turned it off, I still heard the noise. After a good hour of lying there and some changing sounds above me, I figured it out: we were directly underneath the gym. I don't know how they can ever rent that room out.

Nice, free shuttle to local attractions, but a bit far from the boardwalk.

What can I say...AMAZING ESTABLISHMENT!! The service, food, drinks, grounds, amenities,... EVERYTHING was just beyond wonderful!

This place is an experience. Ask for Tara, she is the most knowledgeable and professional employee I ve ever dealt with at any Apartment. This place is like Disneyland for adults.

Really, really nice hotel. Atmosphere and surroundings are incredibly beautiful. We came here on Thanksgiving and all the service was great even in light of the holiday. Our family ended up eating Thanksgiving dinner at the Sustenio, which was a decent meal (if not a bit overpriced). The only annoyance at the hotel was that the WiFi would periodically slow down drastically.

This was a beautiful, clean, classy hotel, but the service left something to be desired. The rooms were beautiful, modern, and clean. The amenities were amazing. The grounds and pool are gorgeous. We loved Eric at the front who helped with bags and drove the shuttle, Miss Hollywood at the pool, and of course Danny, who knows the ins and outs of all the departments, is a great problem solver, had a great demeanor for customer service, and frankly, who should be promoted to run the whole establishment. We were traveling with a group and it seemed we all had issues with some issue or another. 1) One woman who travels a lot for work and is an Elite member with Marriott booked all the rooms for the group. We all got awesome perks like upgraded internet, free fancy water, free pastries and gelato from the mercato each day, etc. That part was amazing. However once we all arrived, they were not able to change the name or split the reservation up even though there were 4 different reservation numbers. Several other guests also travel a lot and wanted to get their Marriott points, but they couldn't split the reservation up. We could add guests to a room, but it Remained under the original name. 2) on the first day, the valet "lost" our rental car. They looked for an hour, making us late for an appointment, and finally just gave us a shuttle ride. But then we had to wait another hour to be picked up. In the end they put the wrong tag on the car, so they found it, but the experience was very frustrating. 3) on day 2, we rented a cabana in the pool and a lady came to take our order. They were out of half the items when we ordered and more that they didn't know about. After taking our order and finding out they were out, the waitress never let us know. She just brought the other food and never came back with the missing items, or told us they were out. We waited and hour before asking about it and the kitchen told us they were out. The original waitress never asked what she could get instead, just disappeared. Other items, like the Chipotle turkey bacon wrap came with half the items missing... A dry wrap with only lettuce and turkey. No one let us know they were out of ingredients or asked if we wanted something else. We asked the kitchen and it turns out they weren't out, they just didn't finish making either of them before it was delivered... A little disappointing. 4) Day 3 we had breakfast at Sustenio restaurant before heading out to the airport. It is a very classy upscale restaurant (and spendy). The waiter took our order and came back with a few meals every few minutes. We kept waiting and again, not all the meals came. We asked and he forgot to submit one meal. When the guest reminded him what she ordered, he says the kitchen was backed up sand it would take another 30-45 min which she didn't have to get to the airport. A restaurant of that caliber should NOT forget someone's order and make them feel bad about asking to order it again after the waiter forgot it.

Overall, the hotel was gorgeous and practically empty, but the service, although they had plenty of help standing around, really needs better training and management. The front desk didn't fully understand the computer systems, the wait staff at both the pool and the very expensive restaurant struggled with basic skills such as taking orders, and the valet couldn't organize and identify the cars. Danny was very helpful and comped all valet costs and tried to reconcile with our organizer, but all of us were very disappointed with Marriott. I hope they get things fixed because they have a great hotel and a great location.

Palio Hall was clean and organized. WiFi was over loaded but functional. Overall good

Beautiful place!! I went to a wedding and didn't stay. But I will if I have a chance!!

Everything went really well during the stay! However when dealing with a valet named Ben, he was acting rude. Also, he smelled of marijuana. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Elian!

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Also the shuttle guys are really friendly.

An unexpected getaway with a city nearby, this place has many pools and restaurants on premise and is literally across the street from Fiesta Texas. Additionally, for those looking at living in San Antonio, there are some fairly affordable apartments for rent.

Exquisite. Wonderful staff. Amazing food. Terrific rooms. Treat yourself and enjoy!

Excellent venue for vendor presentations, catering is good but not great. Parking is plentiful though free parking is frustratingly fat from the hotel (valet parking is favored here) Hotel is spacious and airy with good amenities.

Elegant property with lush rooms and top tier service from staff and valets. I'd like to stay here every time I come to San Antonio. Our room was huge with a modern bathroom that you would see on flip or flop. Don't forget to get your free pastry and gelato along with some virtual golf and a swim in the lap pool.

It is beautiful. I would have rated it a 5 if the business center had a color printer . We were told at front desk that a specific department would be able to help, the staff member did not mind us being around to say negative remarks . Customers should never have to hear that they are a problem.

Stayed the weekend here with my family and we loved it. The rooms and staff were very nice. Love the fact that the bottles of water were complementary. Pool was awesome kids loved it. Will definitely stay here again.

FORGET IT! Seems all the staff has their hands out for a tip! SERVICE-BAD at hotel and restaurant. Front desk was slow, my room was not clean and ready when I arrived. I had to wait in lobby. Restaurant was over priced by 30%, staff stood around and chatted. I heard one waitress comment to another about how small her tip was from the table next to me. Think those guest did't like the service either. Hotel we too restrtive on what you could do and can't do. Guest parking lot is not close by. Hotel windows can't open for fresh air. I won't return!!!!

We had a wonderful time! The staff is very courteous. The hotel is beautiful, service is great...didn't make it to the Sustenio, but we did eat flatbread (pizza) while at the pool, and my 5 year old said it was "the best pizza I ever had!" Definately will return to the Eilan

First time visit. So far very nice hotel. Ill add more after I have been here a few days. After looking deeper the Hotel could use some help. Very disappointing to see pool area is not attended too. Not cleaned the entire rim I was there. I told front desk but no attention was given. Laziness. Very disappointing.

The place is nice, but the food was just ok. The octopus was overcooked for sashimi

Wonderful place to stay in a great area. Was helped by a young man named Justin Baker that showed my family where to find some fantastic restaurants and places to go shopping.

A stain on the Marriott name, I had not been to the hotel in 6 months because of the terrible service and staff. Thinking it might have improved, we tried again tonight. Huge mistake, there has been no change except for the worse. I'm sure the qualification for front desk manager was owning a suit. This is a fine example of how weak management shows up in all staff. What a huge waste of money for the poor investors that built this property.
If you have a choice, don't stay here. We checked out as quick as we checked in. I would rather lose my $360 than stay at this dump. We will advise all our friends, employees , and everyone we can reach on social media.
