There are rare few things on Earth which are constantly beautiful and Eiffel tower is one of those few. Champ de Mars gives you the best view of it from where u can click multiple pics with Eiffel tower or you can just sit relaxing and viewing every inch of it's beauty. No wonder why it is symbolized for love
From sunrise to sunset, from sunny day to the glittering lights in night Eiffel tower never disappoints you

One of the icons of Paris. Impressive construction from up close. I didn't actually climb the tower, because of a lack of time, but I could see enough from just standing close by. Lots of foreign visitors around. One thing that irritated me was the hoard of people trying to scam you into giving them money. Also a lot of people selling items laid out on cloths, to be fair they were not intrusive. The metrostation is a 5-10 minute walk away, there's also a RER station that's located even closer.

Bustling tourist attraction, great views no matter what the weather is. Cafe located at the top and restaurant at the mid-level. Elevators are crammed like sardines and your placed to at different levels- if you have mobility issues let staff know to be placed on a top level elevator and work your way down.
Upside: Great view, bucket list
Downside: Expensive, crowded, long line-ups (even if your with a tour group), ground level has lots of scam artist trying to sell you knock off souvenirs and harassing you for money (Carry your purse/bag in front of you).

The Eiffel tower is the symbol of France. The magnificent exterior and interior architecture of the Eiffel Tower is also the focus of attention of local and foreign tourists in France. The Eiffel Tower architectural interior consists of 3 floors. There are elevators and stairs going up to the upper floors in the interior. Each floor of the tower is open to visitors. However, each is subject to solid price. The cheapest floor is the 1st floor, the most expensive floor is the 3rd floor. There is a magnificent view of Paris that welcomes the guests on the upper floors of the tower.
I definitely recommend it.

Do the stairs if you are able and get the additional ticket to the top (combo.) The stairs line moves much quicker.
Regardless, be patient and plan for long lineups.
Pack water.
Getting tickets online ahead of time will fast track your wait.

I just loved my visit to the Eiffel Tower. This was my first visit and I was amazed at how big it is in person. It stands much wider than it looks on the pictures I have seen. I heard the stories about the pick-pockets around the Eiffel tower so I was extra careful but I didn't see any incidents with the group I was with. The second level is a great place to enjoy the view and see the whole of Paris! The elevators were a bit crowded so I decided to take the stairs down to the 1st level. There are a lot of winding stairs in the tower but it was a nice experience. There are several shops and eateries in the tower too! Some of the souvenirs are more expensive than you might find in the shops across the street so you may want to check other places out as well. If you don't want to spend a lot on your meal stop by the Millenia Tour Eiffel for a snack.

Wow amazing. Much bigger than I thought but would be. As everyone had said it was smaller than they expected. unfortunately I could not go up the tower as the queues were too long (and this was February) I guess go early if you want to. But it s an amazing site.

How can anyone not fall in love with this place. Breathtaking to just stand underneath it and look straight up at this massive yet beautiful structure. Best to schedule a tour and buy tickets in advance to get straight to the 2nd floor or you ll be stuck standing in line for hours. Views from the top really let you see the beautiful architecture of Paris and it s layout. Was there last in 2006 and will be back in just two weeks, can t wait!!

The Eiffel Tower is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower.
Gustave Eiffel's iconic, wrought-iron 1889 tower, with steps and elevators to observation decks.More than 250 million people have visited the tower since it was completed in 1889. In 2015, there were 6.91 million visitors. The tower is the most-visited paid monument in the world. An average of 25,000 people ascend the tower every day which can result in long queues. The tower has been used for making radio transmissions since the beginning of the 20th century. Until the 1950s, sets of aerial wires ran from the cupola to anchors on the Avenue de Suffren and Champ de Mars. These were connected to longwave transmitters in small bunkers. In 1909, a permanent underground radio centre was built near the south pillar, which still exists today. On 20 November 1913, the Paris Observatory, using the Eiffel Tower as an aerial, exchanged wireless signals with the United States Naval Observatory, which used an aerial in Arlington, Virginia. The object of the transmissions was to measure the difference in longitude between Paris and Washington, D.C. Today, radio and digital television signals are transmitted from the Eiffel Tower.

I visited Paris for the first time and The Eiffel Tower was on my list. The line was not too bad because it was during off season which makes it way easier. People recommend buying tickets online. I showed up early and purchased the tickets on the spot. Get the tickets to the summit (top of the tower), it's worth it, beautiful view of Paris.

During the 18th and 19th century, France underwent many changes that were both terrifying and extravagant. After suffering defeat by the Prussians during the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, France entered a period of civil uprising. This time of tension, contradiction, change, and anticipation became known as Belle Epoque (Harris, 1). The Belle Epoque included the last two decades of the 19th century, when France s economy flourished. During the Belle Epoque era, French citizens fused new prosperity with old values, and the era became known as the beautiful years (Greene, 9). Between the worst of times, however, French citizens lived in what we now refer to as the best of times (Harris, 1). By the late 19th century, as building technology improved new materials such as iron, steel, and reinforced concrete made it possible to design and construct tall, free-standing structures (Greene, 7). Due to the Industrial Revolution that entered England in 1750, iron increased in practical importance and became widely used in the construction of bridges and high rise buildings (Hocker, 128). The most outstanding monument to the Iron Age was the construction of the Eiffel Tower by Gustave Eiffel (1832-1923) for the Paris Exposition of 1889. The Eiffel Tower was a controversial structure that used new engineering techniques and materials developed during the first century of the Industrial Revolution. Although the Eiffel Tower was cloaked in controversy during its construction, today it not only exemplifies a monumental symbol of Paris, but also continues to be a functional work of art.

Captured from the visitor / observation Deck. The World renowned place, one of the seven wonders of the world. Worth visiting.. it does not require and in detail information as that would something you can find it anywhere. What I can tell is the experience, the feel you get when you are witnessing such beautiful structure with your own eyes. Give yourself a treat by visiting it at least once in your life.

The Eiffel tower history represents national heritage. It has been the symbol of France and Paris for decades. It was a dream going to Paris and visiting Eiffel Tower. In 2018; that dream became a reality. Paris itself is a very magical city, and the Eiffel Tower Exemplifies what France is all about.

When I got my first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, I was completely blown away by its beauty. It's design is so intricate and complex, I couldn't believe my eyes as I was finally standing in front of it.

It is really cheap! In my trip 2017, I paid 13 euros for the 3 floors. It's easy and fast to buy tickets right there.

Saw a man with a funny mustache there in June 1940. Very friendly although a Jew was taken away for unknown reasons. I think he was being disruptive. Anyways, was a nice place except for that.

the Eiffel Tower is one of those places that's far more spectacular than you would think. while it's popular, the name and even the photos don't give you much more that the idea that it's a tower. the scale of the tower is the first thing that will leave you awestruck. secondly, go at night when it lights up, the river catches the reflection so well. lastly, if you go with someone you love, make sure to go to the top and smooch.

It's beautiful and worth the visit! Recommend you to buy the tickets to enter the tower prior to your visit there through their official website else the queue is huge.. You can walk up the stairs till the 2nd level it will take 30 mins & its fun rather than taking the lift which has a huge queue.. For the 3rd level there's are elevators only. The view from each level is mind blowing!

There simply cannot be a more beautiful place to see Paris than this. If you are in Paris and you have not visited La Tour Eiffel, then what's the point of visiting Paris?

The view from the top is gorgeous. There are many levels of Eiffel tower. There is an express line for tourists that can shell out a little more money. There are a bunch of great cafes and restaurants below the tower.

Can you call a steel monster romantic? Guess you can if everybody else said so. Advice: try to get in there about 1.5 hours before sunset which gives you the best shot of Paris. You can prebook tickets online, and request your visiting time. We booked 4 wks in advance.

An extraordinary place, a must visit place in Paris. It's recommend to cover this place during the day. And also in night time... Some people also said to go up during sunset and it will be some thing special to watch.

An iconic destination in Paris.

It is a beauitiful industrial looking steel structure that has been popular with the visitors for a long time.

The tower can be seen from far away in many parts of tbe city.

I wonder how the workers erected such a beautiful and tall structure over a hundred years ago.

There is a park at the back of the tower, where people come to relax or for picnic.

New glass barrier was being built around the base of the tower at the time we visited the site.

If you can, you must. You just have to. Is it crowded? Of course. Tip, book your ticket for the elevator online and then you have a time to be there and go up. Be patient as it gets crowded. But spend some time, look around not only at the views but around the structure. You never know what you will find.

The view from Paris is awesome from here. Buy timed tickets beforehand because it is always packed and crowded and the line can get very long. There are different levels tourists can visit. And there is a restaurant and shops in one floor of the tower.

Everyone knows the tower so it is not much too say. A big piece of metall but a symbol of the city. The tower ist surrounded with glass. For me the price for the ticket is not worth it cause I can see Paris from above from many places ( I think 3 of them and not pay so much as for the tower)

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower

In 1889, when the Tour Eiffel was completed, it was the tallest building in the world at just over 300 meters tall. The Eiffel Tower was originally built as a temporary structure to commemorate the centennial of the French Revolution. Thankfully, the tower was never torn down and since, the Eiffel Tower has become an enduring symbol of the city of Paris.

Where is the Eiffel Tower?

Champs-de-Mars, Paris 75007

The tower was originally built for the 1889 World's Fair exposition. It's steel construction defied all traditional rules of architecture, and was considered quite bold at the time. Today the tower is the main television transmitter for the city of Paris.

The tower design was selected by a competition in which Gustave Eiffel won. Eiffel was an engineer who had lots of experience constructing high level railway viaducts. In the public eye, the tower had many mixed opinions, celebrated and loathed in equal measure. Throughout its construction, the residents became convinced that it would collapse, and Eiffel had to reassure them many times quite often in person. The author Guy de Maupassant left Paris permanently to avoid looking at its 'metallic carcass' but others championed the tower: Seurat and Douanier Rousseau were among the first to paint it, in 1889 and 1890 respectively. On a clear day, it is possible to see Chartres Cathedral from the highest level viewing platform.

Paris's most recognized landmark has three floors. The first is at 57m, the second at 115m, and the third at 276m. The top of the aerial is 320m above the ground.

The 12,000 steel girders that make up the tower are held together by 2,500,000 rivets that produce it's smooth, curving profile. It's functional elegance heralded the dawn of Industrial Art.

Unimaginable if you came to Paris without visiting and taking pictures (so much) with this famous Eiffel Tower! It is difficult to take a nice photos with a good view as the area is always full of visitors. Only a little regret is that this tower is not shimmering and beautiful as dreamed!

I did not think I would enjoy witnessing this structure in person as much as I did. The first glance I got of the tower was during daytime and when I saw it, I froze in awe and was really captivated. And then once again, I was mesmerized at seeing it during night fall, with it's spectacular shimmering lights. This is a monument which has to be seen throughout the day, thoroughout different seasons to truly capture it's beauty. Just be mindful of pick pockets around the area.

This is the most photograph structure I have ever seen. Every time you see the Eiffel Tower somebody is taking a picture of it. I recommend the skip the Line pass. It's crowded all the time and especially up top. Be careful in the park and don't leave anything on the ground while taking pictures definitely a lots of pickpockets. It's definitely safe but pay attention. You could bring your own drinks and food in the park to watch the picturesque Tower.
