Excellent and very peaceful campus. Hostel accommodation is very economical.Is se sasta kahi nahi milega. Some of the faculties in our chemistry department were very good.

Overrated university. Judges you based on you writing presentation rather than content. Ruined many bright minds.

I am trying to call External deptt from a month, half of the numbers aren't worming and other numbers no answer. Just to clarify one question, I had to travel 50 kms to the University.

The place is amazing for walks. You can get ur car/bike here. There's plenty of parking available everywhere. The place is lush green, full of greenery. It's even better during monsoon season. Temperature is usually 1-2 degrees lower than city temperature.
You can play football, basketball anytime during the day. There's a huge library for students who study in Pune University.
There is a gymkhana which is not expensive and less crowded too.

Hey, Pune University this is for you and your bloody, corrupted examiners who fail us for no reason.
You don't deserve to be a University, you people are just bloody money suckers.

i am sure that your university would have produced some bravery awards winners. Kindly be proud of the solideirs that your university has produced who have laid down their life. Glorifying the politicians only does not go well with any organisation.

One of the oldest college in Pune. Campus is good. Lot of trees around. Nice place for a morning or evening walk!

Extremely bad management. If you want to get any certificate, or any old mark-sheet from this university then think that your bad time has started. They even not bother to pick up the phone and If someone picks up phone they keeps on hold and give no response. and they have such a unmanageable , third rated, age old website with extremely horrible user experience. On top of that they show shear carelessness by not updating their phone numbers on the website. Moreover, your mail not get responded, I don't know why the lazy staff is being hired and what the hell they do everyday there.

The University of Pune was established on February 5, 1949 for the study and research of Marathi language and culture. B. Dr. Mukund Ramrao Jaikar was the first Vice-Chancellor of Pune University.

Pune University has 3 academic departments. There are 4 colleges and a half million students.

History

When the University of Pune was established, there were six districts in western Maharashtra. C. In 1909, Shivaji University was established at Kolhapur with the exception of some districts. C. In 1909, North Maharashtra University was established for Dhule and Jalgaon. Now, only Pune, Nagar, Nashik, all three districts fall under the purview of Pune University.

C. In the year 6, the nominating committee and various parties demanded that the university be renamed Savitribai Phule University. For this, the names committee made time and again agitations. The Senate approved the proposal for nomination at a university conference. The proposal was forwarded to the State Government of Maharashtra. With the name of Pune University, it was decided to add the name of Savitribai Phule who lost her life for women's education. It was sealed at a Cabinet meeting on June 7.

#Convocation 2018

Me and my friends more than 20 people are trying to fill the convocation form & apy the fees from today morning, but the site is down and not opening and after complaint on support & mutipmul calls to support we all are unable to fill the form,

And now the university is charging a late fees, this is one of the reason why people over the globe say that Pune university is good for education but fraud for money.

Lack of management. Expensive University in Maharashtra.

Hello ....i am a physics student did my M.Sc here... i am writing this review for those who belong to other states and want to study here... the reality is totally different from what others know. Actually the popular departments are MBA known as PUMBA and Physics here... PUMBA is somewhat okay but Physics dept. is becoming worse day by day...most of the good teachers have been retired... now it is full of 3rd class teachers... Its result totally depends on the students who are from outside the Maharashtra and because of the collaborations with IUCAA and NCRA.... so students from outside please dont come here at all ... u will get only some facilities of IUCAA and NCRA if u want to study Astrophysics otherwise this is a 3rd class dept.......if you come here it'll be the biggest mistake in your life...

worst university ever..... purposefully they fail students in oral nd theory examination for gathering exam fees and earn money... during external orals staff just ask one question and if we give a wrong answer then we fail in respective subjects and university gets money by exam fees... common guys our whole semesters handwork u just guess in one question its not fair... atleast u must ask another question.... MSBTE IS PREETY GOOD UNIVERSITY THAN SPPU IN ALL KIND OF ASPECTS... at last this university does not display results in time, they take a lot of time for results displaying

Illiterate people all came with political reference just take exam form fees dont even upload the details correctly and ready to take late fees.

This review is not for the educational facilities. University Campus is very famous with the runners and the cyclists. The place has a lush green cover and offers beautiful trails. Many Punekars visit campus in the early morning and evening for running or walking as there is less vehicular activities inside.
