New glow venue. Bigger than FUR but further away from metro and in a weird part of town but it is the largest electronic venue in DC, so what can you do?

It's a great venue with good shows always happening. The only issues I've had over the last 6 years has been overcrowding for big shows and security starts more fights than they break up.
When I've visited it's been well staffed with security and bar tenders, all staff have been really nice and responsive. Amazing venue for DJs, great sound system and visuals- screens, lights, lasers, fog. There are 4 large bars throughout the venue and a huge bathroom that is kept well cleaned. Love the dual level layout where you have the choice to be upstairs or downstairs, it's the 9:30 Club sized up.
Haven't had any complaints so far with my experience here, except maybe that rail drinks are on the pricey side, $10, but I guess that's expected in DC at a big club.
This is the place to have an amazing night with your friends. Drinks are pricey. Bring a credit card. You can enter with a small bag. If you are with a group, I will just buy a table upstair. After the show, order a Uber as fast as possible. Don t walk too far down the street by yourself or just couple of your friends. If you have to wait for a ride, there is a gas station next to it. So stop reading the reviews!!! Just Go Have Some Fun With Your Friends Already!!! Wish this can help you guys.
Decently large venue with a lot of facilities to accommodate the number of people. Pretty hard to see the stage if you're not close to the front of either the first or second floor.
Sound is pretty good if you're on the first floor but not there great on the second floor. I try to stay away from echostage if possible. 9:30 club is much better sound-wise.
ALISON WONDERLAND WAS SO GOOD. No bathroom lines, very clean, amazing sound, dual bars, great time! We love you Alison!
Seats are needed on the floor so everyone can see or need monitors that show the stage.
My boyfriend and I had a great time. Easy in, amazing show, but a tough time getting a ride out. Understandable considering the volume of people at this venue. Yellow Claw out did themselves and I am beyond happy we came all the way from Ohio.
Poor acoustics, cramped, terrible location. Saving grace is the fact that it has so many great artists.
Saw Tiesto here, was great! only came 30 minutes early and was able to get front row for the #1 DJ/Producer in the world!... Loud system, friendly crowd, heaters in waiting line to get in
No matter how old you are if you want to spend a night like never before in your life I recommend you come to Echostage you can bring your disguise that I'll be great
Favorite place to see shows!. Very clean and organized. Security does not only take their job seriously but is fun and friendly. Great set up and good price drinks. No question why they're in top 5 venues!
Consistently books too tier talent and has great lighting
Beautiful, but I forgot to ask the number to a beautiful lady
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this venue. It is very large and multifaceted so it makes the experience more than one note and has plenty of room for large EDM style crowd. I went for a concert and for another fashion event and it was a great time.
This venue is beautiful, has more than 1 floor and sometimes they have access to an outside patio/ smoke area. The backstage accommodations are very suitable as well, it also has access to private rooms upstairs.
Anytime you come into this place though you are guaranteed a top of the line sound system, lighting, staging, and bartending.
They also have a small Valet parking lot (which I do think it should expand somehow, at some point) but there is also parking garages and street parking in the area. Best bet though, if you are close and can Uber to do so.
Great concerts here, haven't been to one I didn't like. However, it's not for everyone, there are lots of drugs, and tons of people are intoxicated. Otherwise, fantastic venue.
Consistently great music variety with a range of current and relevant house, future house, and general dance music. Very utilitarian feel though. Hard concrete floors will leave even the youngest visitors with sore knees and back, and never show up when doors open as sets and openers do not come out typically till 11-12 depending upon how many openers are there. Gotta play this one smart or you're in for a long night. Bring a back up credit / debit card as we've regularly had valid cards refused (due to being out of state per the bartenders? Despite making purchases in and around the DC area, and living within a reasonably commutable distance. Open late though, so yay DC
The place was nice, but the people that was in it was not. There was a bunch of people consuming drugs inside this place. I just wonder what else did the bouncers missed ...
Saw kid cudi and it was crazy. But the venue could do better. Waited for kid cudi just about 2 hours with crappy music playing in the background.
I go to echo stage pretty often but the thing that makes it harder to go back is the fact that they don't have a set mind on gloves. I can bring mine in and security won't even mind it but when I went back after 2 weeks, they took them away AND they're gone. As in my friend couldn't even find my gloves. Echsotage really needs to get their stuff together and give a public announcement of whether or not LED lights are allowed. If not, glovers like me will have to flip a coin and see where it goes. Additionally making me spend another $120 for a set.
Best club in DC, if you're new to DC definitely check it out
I have been going to Echostage since 2015 and I can attest as to why they are rated the #1 EDM Venue in the country.
I have read mixed reviews regarding the staff and security and let me tell you that if you had a problem with security, there s a 99.9% chance that you were probably too drunk. This venue hosts thousands of people every night and the entire staff is always on point.
Sure it can get crowded but so do any of the other too EDM Venues in the world (Bootshaus, Hollywood Paladium, Green Valley, etc). The VIP area is large and the service is top notch.
In addition, every year, Echostage brings the top DJs/Producers in the world: Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Seven Lions, Excision, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, you name it ... from the legends in the game to the up and coming talent.
In short, I guarantee you won t regret coming to Echostage. Best place to be!!!
Great venue, modern decor, well kept restrooms and efficient staff. I saw Koffee and Daniel Caesar live in concert. The lighting was first class. Bars stretch almost to the length of ther dance floor making it very convenient to get a drink. Upstairs is cool with tables that can be reserved as well as some standing room.
I drive bands on tour.for the past 6 years...this venue is associated with the 9:30 club also in DC With out a doubt. These 2 venues are the Best. To work with. These cats are top shelf.
Table service worth the money due to how pack GA gets.
I didn't go to the concert, but I spoke to an employee about wheelchair accessibility and they were more than kind and I just wanted to say what a wonderful customer service experience I had with them.
One of the best venues for EDM Concerts. I Always have a blast every time I go. Arrive early, Entrance line usually out the front door.
A large effort to provide high production quality and excellent customer service is easily tarnished by allowing an unsafe amount of people. I am willing to pay good money to see artists but not if I don't feel comfortable enough to walk around without being shoved or instigated for a fight by random people. So, I won't be back.
Really good atmosphere. Been here twice for t tiesto and David guetta concerts. Both were amazing experiences. Decently managed. Would def go back for a diff show. Parking can be painful. But you can plan ahead by using parking panda app for the closest cheapest parking.
Love this place! Drinks are overpriced but that is to be expected in DC clubs.
Was thankful for that view with all those girls in line
You will need to pay for parking $15-20 at the lowest. 2 spots to park right next to and behind the 7/11 on the corner. Bring cash.
Saw Above & Beyond at Echostage a few months ago and it was a truly amazing experience. We took an uber here so we had no issues with parking. The line was rather small but we were early to get a good spot. I have been to many dance clubs and I felt they did a great job with the ambiance. It feels to me like I'm in a warehouse rave. The sound system is great but the visuals will blow you away. It was worth the drive from Boston!!
Excellent venue. Great sound. Drinks aren't too overly expensive. Looking forward to seeing another show here.
Super Fun!!! Designed to move and handle a large crowd
Good venue, lots of space, parking can be complicated. You re better off using Uber or Lyft to get in and out the venue otherwise traffic could put you in a bad mood.
Amazing experience for EDM fans. Would recommend going in a group or with an SO.
Lively with vibes, although security and staff members can be a pain on occasion.
Security was good and the staff was well trained but the venue was probably too crowded to be up to fire code. There was a fight every 5 minutes that security was breaking up.
Echostage is hands down the best venue for EDM performances in the DMV area. I've attended more events this past year than I can remember and every event has always been an absolute blast. The production here at echostage is always fantastic and the people here are always super friendly. I was at the bar grabbing some water cups for my friends and I, when I happened to strike up a conversation with the gentleman standing next to me at the bar.. later on when we met again in the middle of the crowd he immediately recognized me and gave me a friendly greeting. I love the fact that my friends and I can come here to just have a good time after a long week of school/work.
Pro Tips: (That I learned from other friends who have been coming to Echostage for longer than I have)
- After the event is over exit to the left and at the bottom of the hill take a right and then walk forward you will very soon reach the 7-eleven and McDonalds. This is in my opinion the best place to call a ride/uber/lyft plus you can buy a snack while waiting for your ride.
- Echostage won't post an official set time until it is very close to (typically the night of the event) the event start time. But in my previous experience the main artist will typically come on after 12am (midnight) so if you are like myself and don't have enough energy to dance and party for 3+ hours you should arrive to echostage at around 11pm-12am in order to have the best time and not be too tired by the main artist.
- Don't wear shoes that you find uncomfortable. Trust me the inside of the venue is too dark to look at shoes anyway, so just wear something comfortable and easy to move in that way you'll be able to dance freely and you won't have to worry when somebody accidentally steps on your toes or spills their drink in the crowd.
- I would definitely make sure that your phone has plenty of battery before you leave the house because then you will definitely have enough battery to call a ride home afterwards.
- Most Importantly: just remember to have a good time and enjoy yourself! You aren't paying money to have a bad time and not be happy so don't care about what other people do/think just do whatever it is that you want to do. I dance like a mad man and some people definitely think that I'm crazy but I'm just doing what makes me happy and feel alive and to me that's all that matters.
Be Here Now.
I always have fun. Wish the production was better but fun.
Awesome club-like atmosphere, with an upper VIP level for enhanced viewing. It's a good place to party.
Came here for a Galantis concert. Saw a lame DJ playing horrible music instead.
Music was so loud I got hearing damage while wearing earplugs. Drinks are very over priced. There is no parking, at least nothing remotely free.
Only good thing about this place was the many toilets available so you can easily throw up after hearing terrible music sets.
First time here to see galantis! The lights and sound were awesome . Surprisingly no wait line in the women's bathroom!
Porter Robinson & Madeon, set ended at 12:15am... disappointed that producers ended the set so early.
Security will have you removed and have you put in the first aid room unwillingly and treat you as a prisoner. Then threaten to call the cops when you have done nothing wrong and surprise surprise they don't actually call the cops because nothing illegal occurred. Have gone here many times, gotten table service, etc., and was treated so disrespectfully.
Incredible venue. Polite staff. Always a good time.
My second home Echostage has recently upgraded their production level to incredible heights. Their sound, lazers, as well as their incredible artist lineups are the reasons why I have visited this venue over 35+ times in the past four years.
No place I d rather spend my night, always leave with a smile on my face.
Saw Armin van Buuren here and it was the most amazing show I have ever experienced in my lifetime.
Best EDM club in the Northeast in my opinion. Festival quality sound system and lights shows with lasers.
Have visited many times with friends for a night out, have never been disappointed.
the staff is really rude, A. HOLES JERKS (security, and bartenders are the worst) the DJs are awesome, but its over crowded, and not worth it with the security treating everyone like a piece of poop, the bartenders have the biggest attitude, giving everyone mean mugs like they killed his/her dog, RATHER go anywhere but here. Thanks, NO THANKS!
I haven't been to a venue that is run as well as Echostage is. Never had a bad experience here. #1 venue in the country, strongly recommend
Great show (Krewella) friendly security/bar staff. Expensive drinks, but that's expected.
Went to Zomboy on the 5th and celebrated my 21st birthday at midnight. It was lit, definitely recommend attending an event or venue here.
Still in the process of wrapping up a really bad experience tonight and writing this as I m walking out the door. Purchased Martin Garrix tix. Doors were at 9:00. It s now 12:18am - still no Martin Garrix on stage. Parked in one of Echostage lots - now waiting for 6 vehicles to get moved so I can leave. Just a disappointing time of a lot of standing around waiting and now sitting around waiting.
Inside it was great but the area outside is a little scary
Pros: Venue was clean, bartenders were nice
Cons: the GA section is over crowded, there is absolutely no where to sit or stretch without a line of people pushing into you
Overall it s a nice venue, but if you re going absolutely buy vip.
No secure parking anywhere. The bar tenders don't know how to charge a card. Got kicked out for getting frustrated cause they are idiots only to find people in my car trying to steal my radio
Cool space! Vip tables available upstairs with view on stage. Smoking area outside. Good staff
Large venue, but unimpressive sound system and horrible VIP service.
Never had a bad time at Echostage. One of the premier concert venues in DC.
Saw Above&Beyond and Tinlicker here. Great show, one of the best I've been to. Not really a fan of clubs but this club has a warehouse feel to it. The drinks are steep, bathrooms are clean. Overall it's a great place to see your favorite DJ
Nice place and gigs. Roomy. And security gives out free water bottles :D
