Echelon Security Review

Don't make same mistake hiring this horrible security company Echelon. This group of amateur hotheads, former high school bullies, and overly aggressive goons lack any real credentials and should not be operating in the security business.
Echelon was retained by our commercial development. Soon thereafter the guards were involved in a number of incidents involving their employees misconduct and exposing us to significantLiability. On one instance a guard was apparentlyIntoxicated, and the guard was observed driving down the wrong side of the road. After the Echelon guard cut-off a guest the other driver rolled down his window to say something. Immediately the Echelon guard accosted the guest and ordered for the guest to get out of his car because he was going to bash his head in . The incident was later reported to Raymond Reyes at the Echelon main office. Raymond was completely dismissive and failed to provide any meaningful recourse or accountability and said its not his problem before hanging up on us twice.

Worst company out there. Owned and run by unprofessional liars. I left after being there for almost 3 months and not recieving one correct pay on time, but never missing a day of work. The contract I worked for did not want me to leave but understood that Echelon was terrible for someone who with good work ethics. I was lied to since day one about pay increases, uniform fees, and pto. Everyone from management to payroll to HR does not do their jobs properly or professionally.

I wish I could rate this company with a zero star rating. I was hired on false pretenses that I would be working at one site. Low and behold as soon as I got hired I was sent to multiple sites that were over an hour away from me. They said they would comp me my mileage and didn't (even though I sent in the correct form). They always changed the site I was working at. They had me go to a site that was an hour and a half away and I still didn't get money from the mileage. If you are desperate for money and don't care about how shady your company is then Echelon Protection and Surveillance is for you. Please listen to my warning before you decide to apply here. They threatened to call homeland security if I didn't return my uniform within a very small time frame. Luckily I was able to do it or it wouldn't have gone so well. Maybe if you actually pay attention to your employees (the source of income for Upper Management, I use that term loosely) you wouldn't have such a terrible turn over rate. They said that if I work for then it would be a step up from my former company. They couldn't have been more wrong.

I worked for EPS for a few months as a unarmed security officer and had a wonderful experience from day one of training up until my last day. Unfortunately I had some family and personal health issues that made me have to stop working. But, I am planning on going back to work for EPS in the near future and I highly recommend working for the company if you are looking for a security officer job in the Philly area.

Would never recommend or work for them ever agin in my life. I started out as a "Armed Agent" at the National Museum of American Jewish History. My site manager apparently disagreed with my work eithics but had no paper trail of any allegations he stated. The payroll department and I had a bit of a discrepancy and he took it upon himself to fire me and had no right to do so. Took my badge and anything linking me to the company. Neglected to give me any proper respect and fired me in front of other personal for no reason at all. But be mindful I was told later in a private metting with the Vice President of the company (EPS Agents) Frank that my site supervisor Dave had no right or any Legitimate reasoning to fire me., but he has done this plenty of times b4 just dismissing anyone from his sight. I asked him to check my track record and ask if I had any write ups. I did nothing but clock in and out on time everytime I was asked. The V.P. Frank told me that there was nothing they could do because he's a great site supervisor and they Always allow him to work on his on juice. Then proceeded to ask if I still wanted to work for the company but not at that site or at the same rate. I took a major pay cut. I was thrown in competition to fight for a 4 or 6 hour shift at a location always more then 30min to and hour from where I lived. When I was used to driving 10min and showing up an hour or two ahead of my shift. They honestly let me and my family down. I almost lost my place of residence, vehicle, and custody of my children because of this company. I am now employed by New Age Protection making 24.50 an hour. If I was to recommend anyone to work for someone; EPS agents would never make the list. I even got an offer for G4S that pays better then EPS Agents and treat their employees with respect. My best friend said he changed a few sights and never had to fight for hours... don't bother with EPS agent.. I will continue to share this story, meeting with some journalist later in the week and the Empolyee websites. Pass my story on. They can cost you everything.!

Echelon was the only company to answer my call the night before I needed a guard. They were able to send a guard to my facility the next day. The guards were courteous and professional. They provided peace of mind for my employees.

Echelon provided security at a family funeral. We were expecting a large amount of people and Echelon gave my family peace of mind at a time when we were feeling most vulnerable. The guard was on time, discrete, professional and courteous.

My experience with Echelon was overall positive. I have worked in different locations, assignments and with different managers,. Some managers like Mr. Benn, Mr.Fox, Mr. Bishop were exceptional, others screwed up royally either in terms of management or in terms of disrespectfulness. The payroll was overall nice as well, no complaints. The receptionists with due the respect of their hard job were variable, some nice some not. I met great people among the guards as well. There was a promised further training however, still waiting. Overall a positive company.

I had a 1 person security detail for my wedding and the agent was great, and the agency itself did everything I asked of them and more. I would recommend this establishment for all your security detailing needs.

My experience with Echelon was outstanding. Steve did a great job analyzing our event and security needs, and the guards were on point, attentive, friendly and helpful in making sure that our patrons enjoyed had a good experience.
