A pleasant trip to the car dealership for some service work. Sounds unreal doesn't it? But, I was immediately welcomed, pleasant wait area, but I wander around and look at the new cars. In the process I was greeted by a sales person, Bob. No pressure to trade, and a most pleasant conversation about Miata's. I will be seeing Bob when I am ready to trade. It's really a good experience, I suggest you give them a try.

I found the people at East Charlotte Nissan to be very helpful, especially Troy. I was looking for a used Toyota Prius V and dealt with several dealers in SC and NC. After wasting time at another dealer named Rick Hendrick Toyota in Charleston SC. Troy at East Charlotte Nissan found the car I actually wanted.
The people at Hendrick did not want to waste their time helping me find the car I wanted as they switched salesman on me several times. The first experienced salesman handed me off to the greenhorn salesman and then another more experienced salesman would take him away to talk privately, like they were teaching him a lesson on the customer not to deal with. I had a car picked out to possibly make a purchase so they transferred if to their lot, and it just so happens that it was not the vehicle I even wanted. Then the greenhorn had one of the finance guys come out and tell me i would never find that vehicle in the price range i was wanting, and tried to flip me on a new vehicle. They pretty much told me to go to the North Carolina dealer that had a similar car I wanted which was East Charlotte Nissan, so I did and Troy found the exact car and and helped me find the right financing and everything and I am very happy with the way I was treated. Thank You Troy for helping me find a great vehicle, It was a pleasure working with you! Even though I am in Charleston SC I will make the drive again for any future vehicle purchases.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They have the worst service EVER!!! They are not on the same accord. I had one or two good experiences here out of five years!!! That s not good at all!!! I hate coming to this location. They are rude and the salesmen are very pushy. I want to come to this place and get whatever service I m getting in peace without the lies and the multiple quotes of a service. Instead I m constantly being hounded about trading my car. They want to say you have a lot of miles, tires are bad, something could go wrong and then you are stuck. I have two years left to pay on my car and I will never purchase a car from this location AGAIN!!! They do not care about what is in the best interest for the customer. Stay away!!!

I just purchased a car over the weekend and was extremely impressed with the service I received from everyone that worked in the dealership. I worked primarily with Jake Cole throughout both of the days I was in there and he went above and beyond to make sure I was being taken care of, all of my questions and concerns were being responded to and that I had the best experience possible throughout the transaction. Even though the deal has been completed, he has still made himself available for anything I may still need. I highly recommend this dealership if you are looking to work with incredibly helpful people with great attitudes.

Update to my experience....

East Charlotte Nissan covers up serious issues with their used cars. Then they dont stand behind the cars they sell when serious problems come up not even a month after purchase. They take advantage of people that don't have a lot of money to spend on a car to begin with. I'm a single mom of 3 and bought my daughter a car so she can go to college.

After buying what I thought was a decent reliable car for my daughter it turns out its a money pit!! I only purchased the car a little over a month that ago and already dropped $650 into the car. More issues came up this week totaling another $1500 to prevent the engine from ceasing up. Immediate attention is required and the car can not be driven unti these repairs are complete.

Thanks Jake for selling my daughter first car... and big fat lemon!! Hope you enjoy your commission!! Thanks for taking food out of my kids mouths so i can repair the crap you sold us.

Great experience buying my daughter her first car. Jake Cole was our salesman and he was so helpful!!

We already knew the car we wanted to look at but Jake took the time to go over all the features of the car with us. It's a manual and my daughter never drove one before. He took the time to give her a lesson and she was actually able to drive it a little before we even left the dealer.

This is the personal touch and quality customer service that makes for a memorable car buying experience. Thanks for all your help Jake!! You should see my daughter go now... thanks to you!! :-)

Service Department is horrible! I have purchased 3 vehicles from East Independence Nissan and can promise my 4th will not come from them. On the second vehicle I purchased a plan for free oil changes and tire rotations so I was stuck with going there for service. The third, 2016 Maxima came with a free service plan so again I'm forced to go there if I want to take advantage of the plan. The wait is always a minimum of a hour and half every time I'm there (for oil changes). My sunroof on my 2016 Maxima has been broken since I got the car. I took it in once and they kept my car for 5 days to do nothing. They were supposed to be speaking with Nissan to decide what they were going to do. I called back 3 times with them still having no answer promising to call me. Well, another 2+ months and still nothing. Just called again to find out the original guy was no longer there in the service dept (I wonder why!?) and even the other guy that promised he would take care of it never did either. Love Nissan - dealership sucks!

Michael Rouse is hands down the best ever! I was so convinced I was stuck in my Ford Escape for life but he managed to get me out of it and into a brand new Altima! I m so beyond happy and cant thank him enough for helping me!!! Everyone at this place was super friendly and accommodating. They opened the doors, made sure to check on me in case I needed a drink, and even had burgers and hot dogs if I was hungry! I scheduled an appointment for an alignment this past Saturday.
Less than an hour later it was done.
Charged me $117 but did not have diagnostics paperwork to give me on the before and after for the alignment.
I thought that was odd.
Drove off and came right back because there was no way that anything was done to my car simply because It was pulling more to the left than it was before I came in.
I waiting as all of the service advisors looked at me and walked by but never said a word... knowing that I just left 5 minutes ago. I asked if the alignment was actually done? Was told yes but no paperwork nor did the tech ever come to talk to me about it.
I was asked if I wanted them to look at it again, ofcourse I said, It wasn t even done the first time
And if he attempted it once and couldn t get it right there is no way he is gonna get it right a second time. Latrice immediately refunded my money. No manager or other advisor even came to talk to me about it.
I believe Latrice is new to the car world and didn t know what to do or even that I m suppose to get diagnostic paperwork from my alignment.
She and the other lady are nice but the other service advisers are totally in the wrong business, they didn t even try to help her with this situation, I feel because the others knew that the tech didn t do the job.
I m am a business owner and and I would have dismissed all the advisors and the lazy tech that was assigned to do the job.
This service department has a lot of problems and sure hope that the service manager is made aware of this for I have not reached out to him/her as of yet simply because there is no way I would ever do business here again.

The service advisor who helped me was phenomenal! No complaints at all, he kept me informed, moved quickly and was very nice.

The dealer? Eeh that's why it gets 4 stars. It's very hard to talk to anyone before my appointment, hard to get clarity on the car rental process. They are very busy in the service department and I don't blame them.. Nissan cars break all the time so yea. But overall I would recommend, just don't expect to have an easy time talking to people before you go.

I bought a use 2011 car back in may 2014...8 mont...

I bought a use 2011 car back in may 2014...8 months ago! When i bought my car i had to take it back a week or so later because the oil was never changed! I bought the car with around 50000 miles on it and every time i have change the oil its always been SUPER dirty BLACK when iv been changing it with synthetic oil! The last time i had my oil changed i wasn't even due for a oil change but my check engine light had come on! I took it to two different reliable auto shops that work and know alot about the type of car i bought! The oil ended up being changed twice to make the light go off! last week i was 1000 miles away from an oil change and the light has come back on i got the oil change again and the oil is BLACK again!!!! i have my mechanic clean the throttle body because its COVERED in carbon and my oil looks like its been ran for over 30000 miles when i only went 6000!!!! I called EAST CHARLOTTE NISSAN and they tell me to bring it in so they can look at it! They pressured me in to flushing the motor "witch iv always been told is bad and not to do so" So i refuse so they say they are going to "check it out" and will call me! I had to call them SEVERAL times, with no response from anyone. I finally kept calling and spoke Spencer (service manager) and basically was told me there is nothing they will do.

I am woman, and have never felt so taken advantage of by a company before. I have since found out that there was NO SERVICE record on the truck. There could not have been any oil changes, done on this truck. I was told there was a very good maintenance history on this truck. I am now left with a truck that was abused and never taken care of and i don't no what to do because if i trade it in i will be doing the same thing Nissan did to me, sell a car knowing it was poorly maintained before i purchased!!!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF THERE UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES.

in response to Spencer Yesterday i contacted the dealership after taking my car to GMC and finding bout iv spent money on a car that has a 100,000 mile warranty on it! I was NEVER told this when i bought the car witch should have been known if my car would have been properly evaluated before being sold! So i called asking for the 285 iv spent on the car that i never would have had to spend if i would have been told about the warranty! So after my car being with them last week and all the problems and complaints i have made to them i have now received a phone call back over 24 hours AFTER leaving a voice mail! Spence told me Gerald would contact me back to let me know about the 285! Gerald HAS NOT called me instead Spencer "who told me before its not his department" called me back to let me know Gerald has denied me the refund of 285!!!!This dealership takes advantage of women and They are the worse about calling people back and dont care bout how they treat the people that spend money with them and buy cars all information i was given has been lies from them!

If you plan on buying a truck, look elsewhere. When my husband and I first arrived, we told the first salesman that we wanted to look at the Titan and see some pricing. He took us to where all the pick ups were lined up and pointed and told us there they were. When my husband started asking about different off road options, our first salesman fled the scene to find someone else. The second salesman came and did seem to at least know what a pick up was. However, once we started asking about different options, he seemed very confused. We followed him inside so he could check on the available options. After about 5 minutes, he said he would check and be back. When he did return, he handed us the price of one of the pick ups on the lot. Once again, he did not check on the options available and inform us what they were or the prices. He could not even hand us a pamphlet. Ridiculous. We full well know we will be spending more in the options we want, but would like to know what options are available and the pricing. Not sure why they couldn't handle this.

I am somewhat disappoint. First, I tried to call and make an appointment and no one would answer the Service department's phone. When I called the main number, I was switched to the Service department to no avail. I eventually went online to make my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the Service representative did not have my online submission because he asked me what were my problems. I dropped my car off at 0930 hours and went home. At 1430 hours, I still had not heard from the Service rep., so I called to find out the status of my car and how much to fix it. The Service rep. did not know and had to confer with the mechanic. I was surprised that he did not know after leaving my car 5 hours ago. I also requested to have a multi-point inspection done. For some reason, it was not done. I'm getting ready to take a road trip and I wanted to make sure that my car would perform with no problems. The Service rep. assured me that everything was okay, but he did not have the multi-point inspection. The dealership needs to step-up game.

NORMAN IS THE MAN !!! I've had my fair share of issues with E. Charlotte Nissan. 1) Not getting BOTH keys 2) Salesman lying 3) Documents being mishandled. Despite this, Norman has handled every single problem with honesty and great character. This is my first car purchase experience and he didn't use that to his advantage. If I could give no stars I would. Do not go here to buy a car the GM and Sales director are unethical and dishonest. My wife and I purchase a car from them and told them we had our own bank to go through that we were buying a house and they ran our credit 6 times that day. When we complained gave us some excuses a fax letter to send to credit bureaus. They are still pulling her credit days after we brought the car with our own bank financing.

Advertised price for car was $2,000 less than what...

Advertised price for car was $2,000 less than what they were actually willing to take. Had fine print stating to get the $2,000 back you had to make a trade and finance. It is a 2007 car! I made them a cash offer which was nearly full blue book retail and they told me to go pound sand. Sales manager Joseph called me and stated that the car was a trade in from an elderly couple who had serviced the vehicle every time with their dealership. Lie. He sent me the Carfax and there were gaps in the service record showing it had been serviced at another shop on several occasions as well. Joseph says this 2007 Nissan Maxima is one of a kind world renowned. Can't wait till I find another one right around the corner I'm going to drive it up to their lot and let them make me a top dollar offer on my "one of a kind Maxima".

ATTENTION, ATTENTION! Never buy a car from East Charlotte Nissan dealer. They are not honest. They hijacked our credit card and forced us. I never liked the blue-eyed, short car salesman and the fat blue-eyed business owner. I think there are bad people. In three years I have learned that generally White Americans are not good people. Short men with white skin, merciless, insensitive, malevolent and stingy, with two blue eyes.
