I always get between 3 and 4 pounds if possible, it'll be as lean as can be in the flat cut. Very low price at Sam's club. Soak the corned beef for 24 hours if possible, changing water once, to get out the salty taste. Cook in a roasting pot on 275 deg with one cup of water for 4 to 5 hours. Make sure tin foil is air tight on the roaster. Comes out like the best delis in NY.
Love it for world class corned beef sandwiches. Any reviewers saying otherwise aren't doing it right.

Had to post a review because I saw some one star ratings complaining of tough corned beef. They obviously did not cook it right. You guys really missed out. I've been cooking these briskets for a decade working in food service, as well as several times at home, and they've always turned out PERFECT. Once you've had Grobbels you will never buy anything else. Trust me. Just cook with 2/3 submerged in water, and to 195f internal temp.

Real nice people and easy to find. You have to back in off of the street but not crowded at all. I had to park down the street and around the corner at the Farmers Market to check in and wait to be loaded. But still a painless process and the folks I dealt with were very professional, pleasent and easy to work with. Not to mention, fast...

I have been cooking corned beef using the same slow cooker, low temperature, recipe for years. The meat always comes out tasty and tender.
Not this year.!
We purchased a Grobbel's point cut corned beef that was 3.09 pounds in weight. We purchased it from our local meat store.
This was the toughest corned beef I ever had. There was plenty of grizzle that was not fat. The taste was fine but the meat was grained and looked it was stuck together by the grizzle. It was chewy and required effort to eat it. The picture shows slices that are not end slices and from the bulk of the meat. Match our picture what Grobbel's picture looks like
Very Disappointed with this product. It ruined St. Patrick's Day 2020.

The wife and I delivered to this place via a 53 foot trailer and 13 foot tractor. Its placed into the heart of Detroit along a busy intersection next to downtown Detroit. Not fun!

The people are nice , the street was busy, people are trying to get their business and go home. More to the point these guys are all business! Make sure you get you know what your doing before you get inside the door!

The receptionist was very friendly and the dock guy was very polite. But they are very picky on inbound meat. BUT!! ATTENTION!!! If you have backing up (reverse) issues or a beginner, DO NOT attempt backing a 53 into the docks without a spotter. Don let your pride override your abilities. This is a very tight (I ve been on worse) dock! Slow and steady is the key. You will have to deal with traffic and parked cars.

We have been cooking corned beef the same way for years. But bought this brand and spent $30.30. It was dry and didn't even taste like corned beef. We cooked in our slow cooker. Used all their spices and still terrible! We had to throw it way. NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN
