Dusit Thani laguna phuket Review

Amazing resort with beach access and friendly staff.

My family and I traveled to Phuket for the first time and we selected Dusit Thani after doing much online research. We arrived on December 28th and left on the 4th if Jan. We would definitely do it again and we would certainly reselect Dusit.

The hotel is really nice and most of the guests are families. The Pool area and the beach are large enough to accommodate the guests. Both, the pool and the beach areas are cleaned daily by the hotel staff. At the beach, there are kiosks that sell fresh fruits, fruit juices, and drinks (not through the hotel), there are also kiosks that arrange day tours, both are convenient and good.

There is also a small shopping center within a walking distance (2 mins) from the hotel where there is a Family Mart, Exchange shop with very good rates, restaurants, emergency center, and a few other shops.

In summary, we were happy with our choice of hotel and we would do it again. Hope this helps.

Fantastic location and service! Clean Sea and empty clean beach.

Location is perfect, nested between the beach and Canal Avenue in this nice area that is Laguna. Rooms are decent but you should expect morz for 6,500 a night exclusing breakfast. Pool is of good size. In this hotel, no matter where you are, you will never be more than 20 meters away from the beach.
Servicewise though, it is very very average. Staff didn't get our order right 3 times in a row. Quality of food is not up to the price you pay.
So a big yes for the location, but rent a car to explore eateries around

The room is old, but there is a private beach, the scenery is very good, there is a whole family not far from the door, the breakfast is richer.

5 star hotel meritoriously, clean private beach & rooms, delicious breakfast, kind staff & well trained, they are very welcoming to guests, well designed, comfortable and very good for relaxing vacation.
We booked the Beachfront Room and we have given a very close room to the beach (around just 10 steps), very nice & amazing view for the sea and wonderful sunrise/sunset sceneries.
I got poisoned because of the Italian food restaurant, maybe my immunity isn t good enough because my friends didn t infected at all but in general the food was good.
Small disadvantage; the hotel is far from Patong beach and where the life is, and everything except that is perfect.
Worth every Dirham I paid for it.

The most ideal place to hang out here is the beautiful lawns under tall pine trees. Non stop breeze, which we enjoyed from our room facing the beach - worth the upgrade! Breakfast was so good every morning we lingered a little longer than usual. Great location, we rented a scooter and had fun exploring the immediate area.

Nice place. Nice beach. The property is a bit old. Pools on rooms and for general use were temperature controlled, making it very convinient. Has shops outside.

Excellent resort with great facilities. On the beach with awesome sunset views. Breakfast is nice and the rooms are good.

An ideal place to relax, it has all a great beach, a great hotel, and much more. I advise you to rest there.

Stayed at dusit laguna for 3 nights, beautiful hotel, clean, right on the beach. Recently the beach and the sea are beautiful. Deluxe seaview room, 2nd floor, beautiful view, clean room, old bathroom, but fully equipped. Shower cream and scented shampoo in the room have hand sanitiser and mask. The phone beside the bed also smells musty. Breakfast is not buffet But can always order, delicious food, have a chance to take the kids to rest again

A cozy hotel in a purely Thai design by the sea. Service and kitchen are ok. A tram runs between the hotels on the lagoon.

Great place to stay! A bit far from main attractions but the ability to walk out on to the beach directly from the hotel makes it worth it. They do need to work a bit on cleanliness standards however my issues were efficiently rectified when i brought it to their attention. I would definitely stay again with this brand !!!

One of the best hotel i ever been in. the food is excellent, the room is comfortable, all the toilet products smell really good, and the beach/swimming pool are awesome. employees are really here to help. definitly a place i will go to next time. don t hesitate, couple or family, the only thing is the distance with the city (700 baht by grab) but if you want to relax you cannot imagine better.

Last visited 10 years ago when we were married on the beach thanks to the wonderful wedding planner at the Dusit. Back for our anniversary and it's still as beautiful, still as welcoming. Fabulous staff, great hospitality and stunning location - well done Dusit and thank you for a wonderful stay again!!

We loved everything about Dusit Thani Phuket.. Luxurious stay,very polite and helpful staff,lavish breakfast...Indian restuarant and convenience store at walking distance..Boat ride in Lagoon is an outstanding experience....

Nice destination resort, family oriented, beach front. All the normal amenities, fair size pool, indoor out door dining. Several bars, shuttle service to town. Breakfast buffet, great for families, most customers are European & middle Eastern. Rooms nicely appointed, beach view or lagoon view, beach & pool within a 2 - 5 minuit walk. Food is ok, Thai, European, burgers & excellent pizza. Live music durning happy hour in the main lobby.

We stayed at this hotel villa in October. It was the most comfortable of all the hotels I have ever stayed, and it was a dream-like hotel. I would like to return to this hotel, but I am very sorry that there are no direct flights from Japan as of 2019. The kitchen has a set of dishes and utensils, but no seasonings. Could you lend me if you asked? We went to the supermarket about 2 km away on foot, purchased ingredients and seasonings and cooked. Since there are no staff who can speak Japanese, we recommend that you have a translation application that can be used offline. Mosquitoes will enter your hotel room from nowhere, so you should ask the front desk for an insect repellent machine. The sea in front of the hotel is strong in waves and suddenly deepens, so it is not suitable for children. The use of the hotel pool is highly recommended for children. There is no coin laundry at this hotel. Since it is not official, you will be at your own risk. They will finish by the next day at 100 baht per kg. (There is a part that is unnatural Japanese for machine translation.

Amazing place with serene beach connected, beautiful infrastructure.

This resort is beautiful and the scenery is beautiful. The food is delicious and the staff is very welcoming. We went to a local party, and in addition to the delicious food, we really enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the resort.

Totally recommended. It is a large complex with all services. The staff is very attentive and pleasant as well as effective when it comes to solving any problem even if it has nothing to do with them. At this time the pool is under construction but they intend to have it finished by October. The rooms need to be modernized a bit. That's why I do not give it 5 *.

One of the amazing hotel the stuff are all charming friendly,the make you feel you're their family. Clean rooms, all the restaurants are nice food and cheap.

1. First the hotel manager very professional and clearly knows how to run the show. I would say that Dusit thani chain is very lucky to get Ben.

2. Nice and clean beach. Enjoyed.

3. We have used tennis court excellent perk. I would recommend you get your own racket. One racket hire charge 200thb per hour.

4. Spa was amazing. Recommend every one trying it. Expensive but worth it.

5. Phiphi island trip. Ok but too much tourists. Not of my taste.

6. Careful that all the taxi/tourist operator will force you to go to the Jewel factory. Wary of that.

My conclusion great hotel, just stay within the hotel and enjoy all the facilities. Relax and go back home safe and happy.

Although it s an old hotel building, the rooms are very new and luxury, the service is perfect, the swimming pool is descent both for adults and kids. Not too many activities however you find something to spend time. The food inside the hotel is nice but expensive. when you walk outside for 3 minutes, you find a 24h supermarket and few restaurants. At all, very happy to stay here.

A beautiful resort with many facilities- unfortunately all closed for renovation when I visited with my family (Thai restaurant, spa, and pool)! We weren't told until after we checked in and they took our credit card information, and when we made a complain we were told that this information was on their website which indeed it was, very well hidden all the way at the bottom of the home page in a slide show, be sure to look for this information before making a reservation!

Upon arriving in my villa first I found a lot of ants in the bathroom, and asked for bug spray to be delivered. In the next days I found on average 40 dead ants on the bathroom floor every day, obviously I didn't stop using it!

Furthermore using the hotel's tour service is annoying, because the woman manning the desk was never there, and we found her many times in different hotels in the Laguna area when her note at her desk said she would be back at those times. One of the tours we managed to successfully book ended up being cancelled 30 minutes after we were meant to be in the car because he was 40 minutes late after we've been waiting since 8.20AM! When we complained about this the manager was very quick to distinguish how separate the tours were from the hotel despite them all being under the same Laguna group.

Additionally housekeeping left a pile of dirty towels on top of my toilet once.

Finally the manager made many excuses when we voiced our complaints and we were not offered any compensation for this bad experience.

All in all an extremely underwhelming and unimpressive stay in this hotel, the entire experience was very disappointing, and I would strongly recommend the neighboring Angsana hotel (used to be Sheraton) for a better stay since Ive stayed there for 15 years and never had these problems.

Best location in Laguna and the perfect beach! Beautiful large trees providing ample shade from your lounge and what a relaxing beach experience. Bring along your best book and load your favourites to your MP3: your recipe for pure relaxation. And if you love Golf, try the renovated course just I front of the resort!

The room price is about 2,000 baht, fully furnished, the old bed is a bit collapsed.

Nice location right on the beach, cold or damp rooms, you have the choice whether the AC is on or not, on = cold, off = dripping walls. Renovation needed, great breakfast, nice, attentive staff. Too bad a Dusit would have to do it better.

Personally, don't stay here. (Staying elsewhere in the Laguna zone) but walking to have dinner You can choose to sit on the table by the sea. All staff members are very good. Let's walk together. Because you have to walk to bring food to serve Delicious Thai food Tasty

We used at work, but location and service are good. The taste of breakfast is one, but room service Thai food was delicious. Facilities are good except temperature control of shower is difficult.

A very luxurious hotel at the lobby has a cool aroma, comfortable and super relaxing.

Went for breakfast, the buffet is decent. Cheaper than the outrigger.

Clean rooms, good views, accommodation has a private beach. There are water activities, both sea and lake. Breakfast options are few. Coffee tastes ok A lot of bird accommodation Staff in the pool part, very good service. Location difficult to reach No public transport The area around the property has a mini-mart not far away.

A lovely airy property with a great beachfront restaurant and pool.. not ideal for a romantic getaway but awesome for groups or families or wedding parties
