Soup was fine but sandwich was very disappointing. One slice of bread cut in half with filling put between the two halves? At 8.50 definitely not good value and we won't be calling there again for food

We checked in early afternoon and the staff immediately asked us what time we wanted to eat in their resturant. We had been traveling all day, had yet to even get to our room and it was 1pm. I had no idea about the town or what our evening plans were- when I told her that she was very rude.
Upon arrival to our room (81) the carpet had a huge run in it with fibers all over. Just looked dirty. I showered first and upon getting out- I was looking for the bathrobes but did not find any. Surprise for a 4+ star advertised "small luxury hotel".
The worst part was that at 10pm, people down the hall returned and turned the TV up so loud that you could hear it all the way down the hall. We had plans of getting up early to drive the Ring of Kerry so at 11pm my husband went down to the lobby to ask for a different room. The first reception woman was very plesant and informed us that they did have other rooms and that she would be happy to help but was new and in training and needed to get her mentor to show her how to make the switch in the computer. When her mentor came out and learned of the situation, she explained that we could not be moved because the only rooms available would be "an upgrade". Hmmm ok? She said that she would send the management down to tell them to be quiet.
We did hear the manager come down and knock on the door and tell them to keep it down but it unfortunately was not enough as we could still hear every word all night long as they must have slept with it on.
I expressed all of this to the older male manager (I assume the owner) during check out and was offered an apology, which I appreciated. Again however, I believe that if I come down and ask for a different room at almost midnight- it really is just to be able to sleep. I doubt that any of the extra amenities would be used at that time of day but that was lost on the reception woman. I hope that the young mentee learns her own way of dealing with situations and is not relying on her training as that training will continue to earn them 1 star ratings.

Overall a comfortable stay. We had a great view of the cottages across the street and an easy check-in processes. Wide variety at breakfast. The only slight inconvenience was that it was difficult to blow dry and use a hair curler since the only mirror with electrical outlet in the bedroom was behind a big lamp. Would have been fine if it were over the desk instead.

Gracious hospitality. Fun, charming pub. delicious dining breakfast & dinner. Large, comfortable, well-furnished guest rooms. The middle of horse country. Perfect location in charming Adare village. Love visiting the Dunraven multiple times. Cannot wait for my next one.

It was adequately clean, just glad the sheets were nice. Loads of drunk kids everywhere which is normal for a hostel this close to the city centre. The check in was really messy cuz the guy was all over the place but other than that, it was a place to sleep so it worked.

I recently stayed at the hotel for a wedding. Whilst the overall style is a little dated it is well kept and totally suits the village of Adare. Just a few tweaks and it would be real special. Adare is a great example of Irish tourism done well.

I am writing this review though for the staff. They were excellent and showed real patience and professionalism with me and others. It made the stay a real pleasure and I would love to return.

From the reception through to the waiting/bar staff and cleaning teams I felt really looked after and each member of staff was friendly and helpful to a fault. Well done all round.

Service excellent, venue bright, sunny, delightful, but I felt the lunch menu was lacking & limited. Despite that, what I chose, was beautifully presented & tasty, but again lacked that little extra touch in order to set it apart from any other normal deli. For a 5* star hotel, a thick puree soup of leek & potato soup is too winterish. A little more imagination required from the chefs to stretch the creative knowledge to raise the standard & palate choice from season to season.

Plush furnishings in an ornate building. Spacious room. Beware very firm mattress and curtains not black-out. Food was good but a negative comment on one course passed to the chef led to nothing which should not happen if service were a priority. Will not return.

Comfortable place for lunch but disappointed with our experience. Ordered the soup and sandwich. Found a large fly in my soup and the response was poor. Begrudgingly they said they would replace the bowl of soup..... not the best response!

Staff in all areas, the best ever!!! The room and bath very large! The dining room food was fantastic and the head food butlers were superb! The staff could not have been more wonderful, friendly, willing to help in any way from the second we arrived, to the second we left. As a matter of fact, we had to leave for the airport early and they made a big breakfast spread for us at 530 am so that we could eat. We were only two people, so we were very impressed. We asked the day before if we could get a roll or hard boiled egg to go, but they gladly offered to set up early breakfast for us. The night reception man was so willing to help us at 530 am! We were blown away by what they set before us. Only one tip for the owner; the rug in our room (35) needs to be upgraded. The room was big and gorgeous, but the rug was worn, thin and yellow. You could "pop" that room with a new rug. Other than that, the entire place delivers friendly, fabulous service.

copied from trip advisor as I feel from these reviews people are getting the wrong idea of this bad hotel - from what I can tell whoever runs this place can't train staff or makes them hate the job.

On top of this it is extremely dated and beds have very worn mattresses. The staff are mostly rude, the girl of reception was rude and unhelpful. Overall I think if the staff and so called management had actually any level of customer service we could have overlooked the room scam and the slight dusty old people home interior but for the level of hotel don t bother.

As a wedding venue they don t own a dress steamer which only cost 60 euros. The walls were also been repainted in a bright fluorescent yellow while we were there so navigating yellow wet paint in black tie was interesting.

I would recommend you save your money and get a local B and B. Or pay the money and actually get decent service and stay at adare Manor. Thankfully we spent most of the day at a wedding at Adare Manor which is absolutely fantastic with amazing service.

Stayed in Adare for two nights. Cliffs of Moher and Limerick easy to get to. The town itself is just picturesque. Probably my favorite little town in Ireland. The hotel was big but felt cozy. Great bar and the rooms were lovely, would definitely go back.
