Super crowded. No seats at the bar. Drinks are not consistent. Got two mai tai and one was just awful. Staff is friendly.

Great time, amazing location with reasonably priced bar food and drinks :)
The environment is pleasant. I enjoyed the live music and the interaction they had with the crowd. The Korean tacos were absolutely amazing. I loved being right on the beach at sunset. The service was fast and friendly.
The all hype about this place is only because of its long history. The dishes are good and average quality. Location is perfect. Very busy place so staff are not very attentive.
Good atmosphere on the beach. Cold beer and live music till about 7.00. Casual dining at the bar area was great. Good service good food. Don't order to much!
Great food. Was hoping to see jimmy buffet. No luck. Lol. Felt nice .like his song. DUKES ON SUNDAY
Great place friendly staff and good food with a very nice atmosphere.
Extremely busy, but that's half the fun! Hula Pie is my fave dish here! Along w the lava flow drink! Yum!
Great food and environment! Every thing we had was delicious and well worth it! The service was also a very high point of the visit. Don't go to Waikiki without stopping in.
Best fish tacos I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of fish tacos
Go there for the Fish Tacos!! Great atmosphere, normally a wait for a table... but grab a cocktail and wait, doesn't take long for a table to become available. Table service is great, very attentive and fun... great food and yummy and potent cocktails - yay!!
Excellent food, drinks & location right on Waikiki beach.
Oh my JESUS out of this world HULA PIE I hade it on breakfast generous quantity for the price and thanks for the very friendly staff tums up
I was here around 10pm and ordered a few drinks with a colleague but was told later on that they're closing the patio and needed to move inside the restaurant area. Then 30mins later was told that they're closing soon I guess that's what we get for not asking about their closing times.
Great place for American & seafood right on the beach. Usually busy, make reservations if you are going Thurs/Fri/Sat night. Check out blue note upstairs.
Its pricy but your on vaca so live it up, right on the beach!! Very lovely and a real Hawaiian feel. Food is excellent, the breakfast buffet is off the charts delicious. Staff are awesome, Im going back soon.
Very good breakfast buffet for the price. In particular, Omulet and Egg Benedict are delicious. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast at a low price while looking at the sea.
Breakfast buffet is very good !!!
Especially omelet and eggs benedict are really delicious. You can enjoy a relaxing morning at a reasonable price while looking at the waikiki beach.
Came here to for drinks on a Friday night. Obviously it was packed. There's a bar area where it's first come first serve for tables. The outside patio next to the beach is via a waiting list. We only waited about 20 minutes before we scored a table. The drinks were delicious and the staff was friendly.
Melinda was great. She made great suggestions and made sure that we weren't short of having an amazing experience. Thanks!
Everything here was delicious! Service was incredible, the food my husband and I both got was delicious, and the waiter was great. Highly recommend it, make sure you get the pie! (We got the special pie of the day with coffee flavored ice cream. SO GOOD)
Food delicious. Had to remind server I needed water refill. (if it's empty and my plate is not, you should be observant).
Epic service.... Came here twice on my trip.sat once bar the 2nd time. Ask for Tony He s the best
good views awesome food great service but had to wait 90 mins at 5 pm to get a table for dinner
The food and drinks are great and the servers and very friendly and kind.
Lunch buffet cheapest option and its really good salad bar
What can I say. It's on the beach beautiful view, awesome service, food is outstanding. Amy the bartender is the best bartender I have ever seen in my life. Duke's is a must visit when in Waikiki. Be prepared to wait for a seat at the bar or tables overlooking the beach, but it's well worth the wait.
Lunch 1 pm a little busy when we arrived. Walked around a little with a pager. Recommend the Macadamnia Nut Humus plate as a starter. Watermelon radish has no stingy bite. Fish & Chips to split and two Pina Coladas - a prefect lunch on Waikiki Beach!
The calamari was so tender, great salad and beef tacos. Highly recommend.
My friend's had cocktails at Duke's which they thought were well priced and great. Then the four of us had the buffet breakfast which was again well priced and great. The omelette bar had all you could want, the hot foods were tasty, particularly the potatoes and there was a really good selection of fruits. There were a range of complimentary drinks and I was more than happy to have coffee with my breakfast. The location is terrific and the staff are attentive. The buffet itself was generous and relaxed, they didn't stop bringing out food until the end of the time so we didn't miss out on grabbing more pineapple which was our main concern. This buffet doesn't have seafood options which seems to be why it's cheaper than other places but we were very happy to forgo that. Great place, great vibe & great location!
Very nice place. Kids friendly. Food was very tasty and fresh. Definitely worth a visit when u are on Waikiki.
Kinda pricey food but it was good and the view was excellent
The food was really good and our waitress was nice and very attractive BUT the bar staff harassed my husband because he was not aware of their one drink policy. Apparently there is some rule where you can't buy two drinks (2nd was for me) if only one person is standing at the bar. So he bought one, brought it to me and went back to order his and they denied him until he found me as proof that he had given me the drink, which was not exactly ideal in a hot, over crowded beach bar/restaurant. Even after my husband explained that he misunderstood the policy and apologized they continued to respond with nasty attitude and borderline combative behavior. Left there to put our names on the outdoor seating list that was taking forever so my husband went to check on our status and was told there were 4 names ahead of ours. We watched 5 people be seated before us!!! Went back and called them on it and saw they had placed two more people ahead of us. After we confronted them about it, after much himming and hawing they seated us immediately! We have frequented this place for years as a tradition, never have we been met with such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Needless to say there CUSTOMER SERVICE has DEFINITELY DECLINED!!!
Famous enough that local musicians write songs about it. Amazing that it delivers on its reputation whether you are there for brunch on Sunday or dinner on a weeknight. Kudos to the staff for making a big, busy place feel homey.
It was a bit overcrowded when I went. Had to wait about an hour to be seated. Was not impressed with the food.
Good music, food, and service! We loved this place.
Every time i come here i remember why i keep coming back! Great view for dinner always! And well worth the wait
Menu looked great wait was way to long and we came early (4:30ish) unfortunately left to go elsewhere
Stopped by and got a table in the bar quickly seated, quickly served. We ordered drinks which were all tasty, kudos for the sturdy paper straws which held up! Our food was very quick and very delicious. Cheerful, friendly service and greetings from all the staff in and around the restaurant made us feel very welcome. Mahalo!
The view from the terrace is a nice view, the meat was very tasty.
Too long of a wait for an establishment that is not the most swanky. Don t get me wrong, it s a great place; however, it is not a fine dining spot. It s really just a restaurant people go to to say, I ve been there! The food was nice and the desserts are interesting. The drinks are good, but that s because they are a little weak. The beach view is beautiful and the swimming just outside is great. Too crowded and too much noise, but if you don t mind that it is a great place.
Great place good service unpretentious good food definitely recommend
My boyfriend took me on a date while I was visiting and hands down it was the best experience! Our server was super sweet and fun and even had padded chairs pulled up to make us more comfortable. The food was so great that we ended up having not just our main meal, but a side of crab legs, and even ended up ordering their Hula Pie dessert just to get the whole experience. Definitely recommend going, just keep in mind it is pricey but well worth it.
We ate here twice while staying next door at the Royal Hawaiian. Its quite large and accessible from the beach and from the street. We initially got on the list for a table during the busy lunch hours, but managed to find a table in the bar area which is facing the beach and many tables and is first come first serve. Even though we were in the bar we found the service fast and friendly and had some great lunch items of fish tacos, burgers, and buffets. The drinks are also quite tasty and we returned a second time and its quite nice to walk right off the beach still in your swimsuit and grab a good meal and beverage.
vibe and wait staff are the best things Dukes has got going for it... food s just ok
Wanted to give this place less stars due to the food being more basic than Applebee's but the nachos were decent. I ordered the Mango BBQ bacon burger. It was just an over sauced BBQ burger with store bottled BBQ sauce abd extra mayo for some reason. Very disappointing considering the abundance of delicious mangos everywhere. My wife got the Korean street tacos. The "shells" were mission flower tortillas, not heated in anyway, and way too big. Each of the 2 tacos had one (1) strip of meat and a pile cabbage and raw habaneros. The description said it would have chilli Verde sauce but instead it was a chimichurri.
Great place to eat! Friendly service, great food, awesome view!
Great vibes at a popular location and restaurant, decent food and service.
Food was great for the price! Very busy location, service was good as well! Will definitely go back. Loved the Hula Pie!
Most people come here for the bar/Mai Tai ...usually very busy and loud ...great views of Waikiki Beach ...great service and good bar menu
Vibe was lovely, They had a live singer and homie was Jammin!!!
drinks are average, overpromised on foods. However, very central location, directly at the beach and friendly staff.
The food was great. The staff is very friendly. Has an ocean view and the hula pie was amazing!!
Dukes is a 5/5 for what it is, a beachside restaurant with great drinks and food. It s not a Michelin Star restaurant but the food is still very good and the drinks as well. The views of the water are fantastic and I recommend getting a sunset dinner reservation as well as the ahi tuna and Guava Jamz drink.
Meals were variable. Burger was tasty. Tacos were too spicey hot and not well presented. But Hula pie was impressive!
Food was good but service is average. Very busy so were very slow to take food and drink orders and deliver what was ordered. Great view but everyone is crammed in. Quite a hot night and very few fans to circulate the air. Much nicer places to go for that price.
Only went to the bar...Great, energetic atmosphere. Good crowd anytime of day. Drink prices are good for Waikiki. Try the coconut mojito!
Coconut mojito and guava jamz are amazing. Breakfast is good for the variety of fruits, otherwise it s regular American fare of eggs, pancakes, hash browns and French toast.
Had the breakfast buffet 3 days in a row. Food is great and the waitstaff is fantastic. Had dinner last night and it was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Food was not good, but the drinks, service and view was.
Book in advance to ensure a good table!
My kids loved the experience as there is so much going on, the people watching is fun and the atmosphere is lively.
Our servers were lovely and friendly, food was quick to arrive and tasted great.
The cocktails are really fun and you could easily spend a few hours here just soaking in the sunshine.
A visit to Duke s is a must do! I ll be back for sure.
Friedly staff, top location, good food. Probably the most trendy place in Waikiki for the evening
The food and Drinks were great, It took a little time to get a table. The Fish Taco's were really good.
Food, drinks and atmosphere really great. Reservation/Front desk needs help. It was Thanksgiving but multiple issues.
Amazing food, especially their salad bar. They have a lot of options at the salad bar. Their steak is a must try! One of the best steaks I have ever had. The atmosphere is great. It's by the beach and they have love music, so it has a great vibe to it. Overall the service is good. The food is pretty pricey though
Can't beat the location and food is really good. Make sure you book in advance as we have seen people wait for over 40 mins on weekends
