I wasn't certain how they could pull off a breakfast buffet during a pandemic, but they serve you cafeteria style from behind glass, so it works :) Food was good, but not great, and our server was extremely friendly but a bit scattered at the start ... probably because they were slammed!

Good place. The bar is good. They have open seating which makes it easier to find a table. The best part is it's facing the beach. The restaurant is super crowded but the food it good especially the fish entrees. I would highly recommend this place.

Be aware of bait and switch practices of this place. I took my family of 17 there for my wifes birthday. The menus they gave us were nothing like those online or the ones displayed at the door. The prices on the menus we were given were 2 times that of the advertised menus. So as not to spoil the evening I paid the price but I'm sure not happy about it. They even had the nerve to add the tip to the check before giving to me. I not only feel like they ripped me off they really did. My wife and I were forced to have the $18.00 a la carte salad bar. This place needs to be investgated for its deceptive practices.

It's had always been my family's tradition to dine at Duke's the first day after our arrival on O'ahu. Today the tradition continued despite Covid.

We were outside while we dined. Everyone was following precautions.

The food was excellent, as always. The ambiance is always amazing because of the view. Today it was even better with live music. I never thought we would see that again.

The service was exceptional.

Mahalo nui!

I was in the dining room rather than the bar, toward the back wall, but still, pleasant view. I had the fish tacos (2) which would have been good except fish was overdone. They weren't awful, and the salsa, avocado and pico de gallo were tasty. All in all, I'd just have soon had tacos from the take out near my hotel and gone to Duke's for a drink.

The food is average at best, but the service was HORRIBLE. The 1.5 hour wait didnt bother us (even though they said 1 hour) because its a popular spot. We waited at the bar and ordered drinks and taco appetizers. Finally the waiter comes and makes a big fuss about us bringing our bar food to our table, saying this was fine dining . OK dude, I know fine dining and this is NOT it. So after being extremely rude and condescending our waiter then takes us to a table in the far back corner with not a hint of ocean view, it was a super drab atmosphere. So disappointing after a long wait. The waiter was so rude while he took our orders, it felt like we were inconveniencing him. Also, we brought the tacos we had ordered from the bar but he refused to give us appetizer plates! Finally we eat our food, which is very MEDIOCRE. This place is popular (why??? Not sure) but i suppose that means they dont care about service. Dukes deserves a negative rating, worst dining experience ive had in years.

PS. Looking for a drink?? Checkout the bar a minute further down the beach with pink umbrellas. Lovely bartender and delicious cocktails!

My assumption is that there sandwiches are good because my friends seemed to enjoyed their food however the ribs were TERRIBLE!!!! First the portion sizes for $17 was about 3.5 ribs, in fact I think there was more fries than ribs. They were very tough, cold, and had so much BBQ sauce on it I could not taste any other flavors. The fries I mentioned we're also cold. Granted the seafood chowder was pretty good but definitely not New England style consider I'm from New England. The musician actually killed the vibe trying to sing in tones way out of his league. The only saving Grace for Duke's is the staff and location, which is the only reason it got 3 stars from me.

Popular place next to the beach with great food. Ensure you know what side of the restaurant you are being seated on. One side has their bar menu and the other their dinner menu.

We didn't know about the sides and were sat on the dinner side but luckily our waiter let us order off the bar side even though they said they nornamlly don't do that. Aside from that, the "bar food" was great, especially their appetizers and Fish n Chips. Definitely get the Macadamia nut Pie for dessert. And try to be seated close to the water. We were more towards the back which made it feel more like any other restaurant. It is a more expensive place but I would go again knowing what I know now.

Definitely amazing food and service. Came here for dinner, it was so amazing I came back later in the week to try their breakfast. I hope you could come by and experience this place yourself.

Nice view. Disclaimer I only tried a salad the crab and shrimp salad was really horrible. Not worth 10 bucks.

The server was awesome. The front office staff horrible, they obviously don t want to work.

The best steak I've ever had! That's saying something because I love eating steak! The medium rare sirloin with the in in house glaze was excellent. The $4 optional salad bar is well worth it! However i wouldn't buy it on its own($18)

The staff are very friendly and helpful! 10/10! The environment is open beach which is ice however they have too many tables too close together 7/10..
The wait for a table was about 40 mins (not bad for a Saturday night) however reservations can be made for two days in advance. 8/10.

The only thing I didn't care for was the Dukes maitai. It has way too much alcohol(not a bad thing) but not enough fruit so the drink felt incredibly unbalanced.5/10.

Overall this a great pace to have a nice dinner. Expect to pay around $85-$100 per couple and be sure to make a reservation if you don't like long lines.

Had some drinks and took a sunset Cruise out to diamond head on a whim. Was a great time. Highly recommend dukes for some Pau hana drinks or a casual dining experience. Also had live music and outside seating near beach is cool too

Unbelievable! I have traveled the world and have not been to another place quite like Duke's. Situated right on Waikiki Beach the views are stunning! Open air dining/drinking is literally one of a kind. This tiki bar/restaurant is easily the best in the South Pacific!!

Great restaurant inside the Waikiki Outrigger Beach resort. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious including a breakfast buffet that is worth the money. It is not as extensive as it would have been before COVID but still good. All staff wear masks all the time. And they even go so far as to take your name and phone number before you enter the restaurant for contact tracing should something happen. We ate there three times during our stay and each time was great I highly recommended this place.

Yeah all the food was great, but I m writing this hoping the restaurant owner will see this and keep the delicious limited time Girl Scout s mores lemon merengue pie. The addition of the merengue mixed with everything else was genius and I wish this was a permanent item on the menu. So please keep that item on the menu so we can come and eat it every week. I m sure the original hula pie is good but this specialty pie got me all excited and grateful I live here.

Phenomenal view. Live music. Directly off the beach. Fresh air. Friendly service. The Macadamia Nut Hummus was amazing. Light and crispy battered fries garner the attention of any potato lover. Worth the visit.

My husband loves the ribs and fries. The fish tacos are also delicious. Friendly wait staff and beautiful views are lovely. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time if you prefer not to wait. It's a lively, popular place!

Duke's is the epitome of Waikiki dining and entertainment. They have a good collection of well made unique tropical cocktails, their food is good and on theme, and the ambiance is pretty laid back. A little pricey, but not overly so for Waikiki.
