Dinner at Dukes was quite enjoyable for our group of 7. We made a booking and were able to have a table closer to the beach.
It's a bit pricy but so are most meals of this type in Waikiki.
All the food was very nice and they gave us a complimentary Hula Pie to share.

I had breakfast buffet. It's not very good, but I visited it because I was ranked first in the restaurant app called Zomato. There aren't many types, and there wasn't a very good part, but when you see that the Waikiki Hotel morning buffet is not very good, you can understand it to be relatively good. The employees were friendly and just as good.

Can't say enough about Duke's. This is a combination of everything you want in a Hawaiian restaurant. Casual clothing, good food, good music and a great view. We had a reservation and asked for a table with a view. They put us at the end of the rail, where we had the best view of the ocean and the band down below.

Late night drinks at Duke's was a terrible experience. This place gets the dubious honor of serving us the worst Mai Tais and Lava Flows in the area. I ordered an old fashioned but it was served with ice cubes in it. The live music was atrocious.

Can't comment on the food, as we only had drinks, but with all the great options around here I'd recommend going elsewhere.

A big tourist place. Everyone says "you have to eat at Dukes". The wait time is over an hour so, I decided to return another day and I did. This time in the day time. The have 2 different seating areas; 1. For the bar area (if you can get a table and 2. One for reservations both have a wait time of 45min. to an hour. Since I was leaving in 3 day to head back to the main land I decided to play tourist and finally had my MaiTai's and a burger. Sat by the beach to watch the sunset and listen to the music. We had a good time and very surprised that our bill was reasonable.

Our hotel was just a block down from Duke's so it was very convenient. Might I add that the vibe and views here are beautiful. What made our experience really memorable was our server. I believe her name is Jennifer O. She noticed that my bf was Spanish and she spoke Spanish as well. She was really warm and welcoming and very sincere.

The menu is quite long but she gave us her favorite suggestions from drinks and appetizers to our main entrees. We were too full for dessert. Service went above and beyond!

Drinks - Coconut mojito - it's something else! This has ruined me because I will never find a coconut mojito as good as this anywhere else.

Appetizer - Jennifer recommended her favorite which were the nachos with ground beef cajun style. This plate was plenty big for two people. Yummy!

Entrees (recommended by our server) Fish tacos with "gochujang" sauce. I hope I spelled that right? Fresh fish and the sauce is spicy!! That with sour cream and guacamole was a great combination.

Chef's burger - bleu cheese, bacon tomato jam, and grilled onion. I was a bit hesitant because I'm not really a fan of bleu cheese but it all came together perfectly. We had an amazing experience here and wish we had room for dessert. Till next time!

Always busy at this charming piece of Waikiki history. Great food, but our latest visit brought us to enjoy the bar and sunset. Drinks were a couple dollars over priced BUT the couple extra dollars we paid was worth paying for a coveted spot on the beach with a tropical drink to watch the sunset over the ocean. Would do this same thing every day if I could.

Need to remember come on an empty stomach. Prime rib/seafood buffet for $50 a person is pretty good. Due to COVID food is served for you and they also do checks at the door via an QR code and then checked at the table. Good selection and reservations are recommended. Great waitress and the views of Waikiki Beach make the dinner more romantic.

Great view from the restaurant or the bar. The brunch buffet is decent and probably one of the best values in the area. The fish tacos are great for a lunchtime snack.

One pet peeve is that pigeons tend to fly into and walk around inside, which is mainly due to the idiots who think it's cute to feed them.
